- If you want to animate a character speaking, you’re going to need to learn how lip-sync works. Here are the mouth shapes you should know, and simple tricks to make the process easier!

I used to record myself saying something and then reference it in FlipAClip. Unfortunately, irl doesn't use the same fps as me.
If you can figure out how to change the fps of your reference video, that's a smart way to do it! I might actually try that sometime
@@kuzillon Haha I'll try. Usually though I just have to turn up my fps till it fits better. It does work pretty well usually.
Your can use separate pictures of all the mouth movements if you want
Same thing I'm trying to learn now how to animate my demon character is mouth because I'm making a new animation called the Sun that includes mouth motion so thinking about how the mouth moves while the words are saying

I just thought to animate mouths like animes 3 different mouth for every word open,slittle closed,closed over again😅
What i do is say the word out loud and draw how it feels to say the word. No idea how i came up with that i just started doing it 😂
Could you possibly do this, but with animals? (Assuming you haven’t already)
Most likely these same principals apply for any face that is speaking. This should work perfectly with animals. :)
Animal lip syncing is pretty similar to human, just alter the mouth and teeth shape slightly (example: add a slight curve to middle of the mouth and add some fangs and ya got a cartoony cat ^^) also I didn't expect to see ya here reality! :D

It’s not too hard to do, I taught myself at 8 years old, by copying what I heard, and taking the overall mouth moments and animating them.
does anyone have any tips for low frame rate lipsync? I'm using 6 fps and it just looks wrong no matter what lol
Something I do when i say the 'o' sound when im happy is finish the sound and then go immediately to smiling again. Idk if this helps or not, but its something interesting

There is no right way to make lip syncing, whatever seems the best or good to you Is good for you.
Most of the time I have to watch thousands of tutorials for animation (I'm a very beginner) but this video helped so much, thank you
Whivh software do you use?
Photoshop for drawing, and TV paint (which is what I used here) or Adobe Animate for animation
