Tristan Connelly joins Inventor Dr. Scott Dickenson, PT, DPT, ATC to talk about his neck surgery, rehab, and his eventual return to the UFC Octagon.
He was first introduced to the NecksLevel during his physical therapy rehab at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada. After returning home to Surrey, British Columbia, Tristan quickly got a NecksLevel to continue his neck strengthening on his own. Now back to sparring, Tristan is hoping for a return to fighting around Summer 2022.
Best of luck to Tristan! We're honored to play a role in his recovery.

@@neckslevel thanks. In fact i have adjacent segment disease below my acdf a increased herniated median disk. For some surgeons doc had should two acdf.... For some no need of new surgery and even can do contact sports for now for others in near future need to get off the disc and to do acdf or cdr to avoid myelopathy or worse. I was asking them if a one level acdf you can do fight sports as CDR , it s yes for majority if you don't have a normal size of your spinal canal. For one surgeon i can do soorts contact with an hybrid surgery by placing a mobi c prothesis c6-c7 under my acdf c5-c6. Whatever after surgery you specially need to strenghten the neck to avoid at best the Adjacent segment disease (even with prothesis because after some years they tend to consolidate as ACDF).

But i was wondering throught studies that i read that acdf make more pressure two adjacent intra discs almost when flexing or extending or lateral movement. I conclude that if you hypertrophy or at least strenghten your neck muscle which tend to have less flexiv and extend super passive mobility it can prevent a little bit adjacent segment disease due to spine surgery .

@@rayane2290 Definitely agree that neck strengthening after surgery is a must! That will help stabilize the joints and maintain a healthy neck!
