You know Andrew, back when your father wanted you to stay with the post office, he couldn't have envisioned you to be this successful. I know im almost 78 and finding it hard to do what i need to do. Keep up the hard work.. God bless you, and keep you safe. 😊❤ your garage is coming along great. Thanks for sharing.
Andrew Camarata is literally the best thing that exists on youtube, period. Been following him since the castle didnt exist. I remember one of the first videos i watched when he fiddled with some engine for a jetski or w/e it was. I was hooked right at the start.
Andrew is the best, but I wish his posts weren’t so few and far between. Cutting Edge Engineering Australia is my other favorite channel. They post videos every Friday without fail. Husband/wife team. It’s absolutely incredible what they can accomplish in a week (as a side hustle).
I love Andrew’s commitment to his craft (and, NEVER releasing clickbait vids), but I would hope that he would consider making progress videos, rather than waiting months or years before releasing the final video. Peace.
At 10pm (Central) on a Sunday night. We all knew it was coming, much anticipated by many - including me - but it was just a matter of time. Thank you Andrew.
So glad to see Lacy again. Reminds me of when her and Levi would jump in any water they could find. She's the grand old Dame of construction. Fabulous new (old) building.
I missed Levi so much. don't get me wrong I like his new dogs but to me no other dog could replace what Levi did for this channel, I wished I meet Levi before he died specifically live in same town era as Andrew Saugerties NY. weird thing I never see Andre in Saugerties, but I see him drive in Saugerties Era on his videos. like where he got his lumber for this build at Saugerties lumber.
I know some of the viewers will have noticed this, but Andrew used the blower clips to tie all the individual days together, excellent way to put the clips in line. His filming is always next level, he really can tell a story without much speaking to even mention. He was being compared as an operator to other TH-cam guys who run equipment, but what they missed is it is his camera and editing these other folks lack. And critically it is all done on his own, he's had short stints of help but that's it. It's him.
His camera placement and editing is top notch! Been watching him for years and he has always been an excellent communicator. This latest piece puts him to a whole new level of story telling. His next castle installments will be a huge TH-cam hit, I trust.
I'm screaming at the TV when you are trying to bend the pl🎉astic. You dont have a heat gun?!?!? Just apply a bit of heat after you cut the notches and it will bend like magic!
YES YES YES lost my dad in 2019. I've finally gotten past automatically thinking I need to see what dad thinks or his advice on something then remembering I can't anymore. Miss him every day.
@@richardrowlands9113 I feel for you man. I have raised two children that were abused by my now ex wife, she was a monster to them and me. Very violent woman. I stepped as a man and have tried to be the best dad I can be. Older one is graduating college younger one in HS. BTW all 3 of us have enjoyed watch Andrew's videos from way back when Levi was around. We bonded over learning about machines from Andrew.
I have been watching this channel for years and I always see the length of the videos and say to myself that there's no way I'm going to watch it all the way though. Every single time I end up watching the videos all the way though and end up saying to myself I wish there was more. Thank you for the countless hours of entertainment Andrew, you do an amazing job. The video quality, content, and thought put into everything you do is unmatched anywhere else on TH-cam. It's obvious that you stay true to yourself and only do what you want to do and that's what makes your content so good. Keep doing you and I'll keep watching.
I've been watching this one throughout the day. every time we get in the car and Bluetooth auto connects the video would take over. my wife marvels at my ability to watch this guy's stuff. i get so excited and she just shakes her head. men are simple, she says. you're gotdamned right lady.
Can't get enough of Andrews videos, simple but yet on point which made this format and channel so watchable for hours on end, it's being on the passenger and first person view. More success in the future endeavors!
@@AndrewCamarata The new castle is looking dope man.. i can't wait to see the building process.. maybe use some of the blue rocks you got there in it's foundation.. anyway hat off from the other side of the ocean Europe !
Andrew, I am one of those people who follow you from the shadows who has been following you for many years. I have seen how you built your castle from the ground up and how you have grown over the years. Thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us. THANK YOU!
❤❤ all my concrete siding has failed EXCEPT where I predrilled and counter sunk the fastener holes and used coated screws-and used loctite adhesive all along the bottom overlap seams. Also the cut edges MUST be water proofed with an emulsifier. This product should definitely have been made with stranded fiberglass mixed in. Water and wind vibrations decompose the cement rapidly.
Most of us know someone like Andrew. A person who looks at a problem, figures it out and solves it. On the other hand I look at a problem look again and again and then call a friend like Andrew. Great to have you back🥳😎
Its not for your benefit dude. Andrew only puts out stuff when it makes the most money for him. He saves his content up and puts it out at the Easter and Xmas holidays. they get paid more at holiday times. Don't delude yourself that Andrew is doing this for you. He doesn't give a Siht about the viewers, the only wants them to watch his stuff.
The textured concrete with the siding really sets this off as a one of a kind building from what was once a "shed". You and your team have made something really impressive.
Very sad news. But, yes, she lived a long happy life. I admire the way the family takes time out of whatever they are doing to interact with their dogs throughout the day.
Absolutely awesome close in job on the open sided shed. Definitely far more useful than it was. I do wonder why Andrew didn't use ICF construction so it would behave a high R insulation factor so he could heat it in wibter and cool it in summer when he's working on vehicles on the lift and other projects. It's also impervious to various forms of degradation. Wood is not and has very little R factor insulation. No mat, they did an awesome job closing it in.
@@pinwizz69 Unless ICF went all the way up, that is a large building to insulate. The roof is uninsulated. The right way would have been to put in radiant heat in the floor, but the first section was done long ago. That is a very large space to heat. If he wants to work on a machine in the winter and be warm, he has a big heated bay in the castle. The only thing lacking is the lift for cars and trucks is in the outside garage. He could get one of those rolling lifts for the castle bay though if he wanted to cover that base for far less than insulating and heating the workshop. A shop like that would take forever to go from cold to heated as large as it is, so it would need to be at least partially heated all winter. Probably not worth it.
The fact that you stopped and repaird the rear door card shows to me how much you've grown and matured! Old andrew would have welded diamond plate to it and said "it should have come from the factory this way!" Love seeing your growth! Great job as always!
These videos are a masterclass in keeping people engaged. You got Prologue, you got timelapse, you got drone footage interweaved with small "personal stories" about getting different machines to work all in the aid of the epic quest. Brilliant.
Oh where to begin. First, the renovated building looks fantastic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this, and every one of your other videos. You take a lot of pride in the quality of your videos, and it shows. This long one was entertaining, not boring and had lots of interesting twists and turns. We actually looked forward to making it our entertainment for the evening. Keep up the good work, and keep 'em coming!
50% more building 400% more useful. Inspiring stuff. Glad you got a dry spot for more machinery. No other TH-cam channel makes time fly. Stella entertainment. Thank you sir.
He should have done that years ago. But common sense is never one of Andrews traits. At least now, his rusting junk is going to rust a bit slower. They dont call upstate New York the 'Rust Belt' for nothing...lol.
I’m a 63-year-old cattle and sheep rancher in Virginia. As a one-man operation, it sometimes feels overwhelming. When this happens, I’ll watch one of Andrew’s videos for motivation. It works every time!
When I 1st saw this video was over 3 hours, Usually, I wouldn't take the time to watch, but I've always wanted to see you finish that lean to and wow! What a killer transformation! Your dad must be extremely proud of you and your accomplishments, Andrew! Can't wait to see you building your new castle!
What a bonus treat Andrew...3: 11 hours. You are magnificently making up for a lot of long going absenteeism. It feels like Christmas.Thank you Andrew.
Andrew, I’m so proud of you & your accomplishments, being there with your dad, enjoying his companionship is not see much these days. I know learning so many ways from him & working along with him in your younger years has made you so great, he has to be so proud. You are amazing, I love it that you will get things done no mater the obstacles you have. You are a doer…..
The man can Landscape, the man can build roads, the man can build water managing infrastructure. the man can fix machines, and the man can build homes and garages and workshops. the man's a damn legend! keep it up Mister Camarata!
Andrew 😢 You and your DaD working together and him bringing Lady over just to be the crew is priceless. Andrew your vision and knowledge is a one man full of dreams. I’m from Baltimore Maryland and I’ve enjoyed over and over how you are glued to being a true hard worker. Thanks
Nice job on the garage extension.Great to see your Dad giving you a hand.I was waiting for you to put in flood lights outside each door or maybe run another row of those LED lights under the outside overhang.Always something that can be done later.Looks great!!
For your new castle, please consider pumping the concrete up from the bottom. I built pump trucks for Schwing for many years. We invented this technique. The form bracing is a little more intense but it is worth it. You can pump all the walls in one day. Plus they will be stronger. The ram action of the pump eliminates the need for vibration and the top almost finishes itself. Please also do the math on renting a 14 or 20 yard batch plant. You could use your own shale chips for aggregate. Hope this helps. Thanks for the great content. I have learned so much and always entertained!
It's taken me a week to watch it all. Loved every minute of seeing real people getting stuff done. Seems like just yesterday he was getting the concrete slabs delivered for the castle. You sir set the bar very high for quality of workmanship.
At the end there, I noticed the Tonka trucks up there. That your dad probably bought you when you were younger. Now he’s relaxin, helping you putting away your new tools….. Nothing better than that!
Andrew, please extend our thank to your dad for raising one of if not the most ambitious hardworking industrious, critical thinking gentle, and inspiring young man of his and many other generations. Your dad must be one in a billion. Thanks for this 3 hours of joy inspiration and pure entertainment. Also please give Cody and Blue a huge hug for us. Wd love your dogs too.❤❤😊😊
There is a throwback culture in upstate NY. I remember driving from NJ to a little town North of Syracuse in 1986 and thinking it was like the 1940's still up there. Now it's probably a bit like the 1980's. hehe.
Great video Andrew. Paying those guys to help build it was definitely worth it too. Also it's great to see your dad in the videos, the time we spend with our family is never wasted time.
Congratulations Andrew ! You should be very proud of what you’ve transformed your building into. I laughed to myself when you were sweeping and cleaning. We haven’t seen that too much on your videos.
Hey Andrew, It is an absolute pleasure to watch you with your dad, working together, my favorite part of this one of many episodes. Thank you, it is always a great time to watch you work.
Andrew, I really enjoy your videos.. My old 1968 Caterpillar D7E is like yours except mine has an electric starter.. You probably already know about the compression release in front of your right foot.. It's a big hex nut that operates the valve.. I just leave an end wrench on mine so I can open and close it with my right foot when I get in turning over real fast.. It also helps to prime the fuel pump and warm up the glow plugs after it sits awhile.. I was your age about 30 years ago.. I've worked wide open 7 days a week my whole life on pipelines and construction jobs all over the country..My 30 year old son has been working with me since he was knee high and he is work wise like you, I'm proud to say.. We have a yard full of good heavy trucks and equipment we operate together here in the oilfield and on the farm in Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas.. Keep on keeping on big guy and be careful. 🥃😎👌

It was nice seeing your dad who seems to be in good health still. Love the long - complete - format! Laughed out loud when I saw you coming riding in that "excavatorette" near the end! Very cute, hadn't seen that one before, and you never cease to amaze with the many different machines you find and use. All them right tools for the jobs!
Been in bed with a chest infection and just spent 3 hours watching this. Thanks Andy. Really enjoyed this vid. Good to see a man be honest. That shed did let in a lot of leaves and water. The end result is a real asset. Looks better than your house!

@@purpleviolinTools are only as useful as the person using them for a purpose. A tool shed is just a place to store and look pretty when not in use, otherwise just like this excuse for a delivery truck driver whom couldn't seem to apply practical logic to a simple dilemma. A new castle? Dude, I'm already addicted to watching you build it! Please don't waste time on anything that doesn't have to do with building, repairing, improving, etc.! I am a trained and certified welding specialist. I came across you when you started building or welding your castle. So love and celebrate your videos, for one very simple reason! You don't talk as much in your videos as some other English-speaking TH-camrs! And when you do explain something, it's easy for me (as an old German) to understand what you say! Don't get me wrong, I like the English language, but I'm not a master of it. And when I watch a video that's about building and doing things, then I want to, for example: I don't want to spend 55 minutes blathering on about a 1 hour video where I only understand half of it because the speaker gets into the details too quickly and too much. Another reason I like you is that you work with what you have and if something is broken you fix it with what you have. Always having and using the latest of the latest just because it makes work easier is not what I stand for! last but not least So don't be put off and start working on the new castle straight away! 😉 with best wishes for you! h0rde

Andrew, great video! That shed came out fantastic. The video was like poetry in motion. Your end product was amazing. Looks like you put a lot into it. A transformation for a long time. Your footage was captured extremely well. Lots of editing went into this video, and it shows. Great entertainment at it's finest. Thanks for showing from start to almost finished. No more leaf blowing I hope. With the weather you have there, you will have the room to do whatever you need done in the comforts of indoors. Be Safe, and God Bless!

I’m late to the party but I agree with the other commentor, as someone who struggled with procrastination in college you’re better off prioritizing the work. When future-you has a decent-paying career you’ll enjoy these videos that much more

Hi Andy, just a little tip about hydraulic lines. When I would take lines apart, I had some of the old telephone wires that were all different colors and would put matching wires for all the connections, so reassembly was a no brainer. Pretty sure that was the same video I first saw when I subbed
First Andrew's video I saw was the driveway install, been watching since then
Andrew is the best, but I wish his posts weren’t so few and far between. Cutting Edge Engineering Australia is my other favorite channel. They post videos every Friday without fail. Husband/wife team. It’s absolutely incredible what they can accomplish in a week (as a side hustle).
Not a bad night when you’re watching an old video and a brand new one pops up. Excited for this one. Been a long time coming.
This is most likely over a year's worth of saved footage compiled into one video... Finally ! Lol !
well worth waiting for andrew
I love Andrew’s commitment to his craft (and, NEVER releasing clickbait vids), but I would hope that he would consider making progress videos, rather than waiting months or years before releasing the final video. Peace.
this has been being made for over 2 years lmaoooo
It's him.
Andrew is a cinematographer who happens to be good at everything else. That's the difference between his channels and others.
Don’t forget the drone work and the creativity and “necessity-invention” aspects!
His camera placement and editing is top notch! Been watching him for years and he has always been an excellent communicator. This latest piece puts him to a whole new level of story telling. His next castle installments will be a huge TH-cam hit, I trust.
Takes a blower to know a blower…….😂
I'm screaming at the TV when you are trying to bend the pl🎉astic. You dont have a heat gun?!?!? Just apply a bit of heat after you cut the notches and it will bend like magic!

1000%👍👍
I have been watching this channel for years and I always see the length of the videos and say to myself that there's no way I'm going to watch it all the way though. Every single time I end up watching the videos all the way though and end up saying to myself I wish there was more. Thank you for the countless hours of entertainment Andrew, you do an amazing job. The video quality, content, and thought put into everything you do is unmatched anywhere else on TH-cam. It's obvious that you stay true to yourself and only do what you want to do and that's what makes your content so good. Keep doing you and I'll keep watching.

Andrew, I am one of those people who follow you from the shadows who has been following you for many years. I have seen how you built your castle from the ground up and how you have grown over the years. Thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us. THANK YOU!

Now you'll get to watch castle #2! Super excited to see it come together- you know I'll be watching.

Very nice garage/workshop Andrew! You can give that blower a bit of a rest!
No trouble knowing that truck wasn’t owned by the driver, what a mug🙄🤣
I like that you are doing things with your dad. He looks happy to be spending time with you.
The fact that you stopped and repaird the rear door card shows to me how much you've grown and matured! Old andrew would have welded diamond plate to it and said "it should have come from the factory this way!" Love seeing your growth! Great job as always!

Thank you, I’ve never seen anyone pump up from the bottom like that, that is interesting though, I was considering getting a batch plant up there.
Glad to see Lacey. Good memories of Levi. Take care and thanks for a great video.

@@purpleviolinTools are only as useful as the person using them for a purpose.
Always having and using the latest of the latest just because it makes work easier is not what I stand for!
last but not least
So don't be put off and start working on the new castle straight away! 😉
with best wishes for you!
