Still having this music to groove to 40 years later is amazing. The joy the memories bring. This was our swag and vibe because music is the soundtrack to life. We jammmed with the bests musicians ever! And still jammin. #ayeeeeeeee💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💙🦋 Priceless #grateful🎶💙💙🦋
From the US perspective this is more a soul/ funk/ dance album than disco. Because in the USA disco died in summer ‘79 and this album is from ‘82. But in Europe the term disco lastet some years longer… But that’s a very nice album 💪
I need to find a Facebook Group for this kind of old skool (old and new) sounds. I inherited this album from my discotheque-bound oldest cousin when I was a child (among many other genres). The good thing about being raised in an eclectic and multiculti music democratic home (in cosmo #CDMX). ✌🏾
If you know to a reliable FB Group with this kind of music please post it as a reply (and see you there) and indicate a couple of things you like about that group. Do good to others. Peace.
Luther wasn't on this Album actually... The first Album, he was the lead, then the second Album,(miracles) he had contractual issues and James Crab Robinson was placed in the lead vocals and Luther was one of the backing vocalists on that particular Album in 1981 which afterwards he went solo that same year. 🥂
Hard Times sounds like an experimental track, or a track that has not been finished and that could been fantastic, anyway, so many excellent Change tracks...
@@woz3018 I thought I read it was a dispute over the percentage Luther was getting. Jocelyn Brown was singing with Musique and Inner Life before she hooked up with Change. She went back to her Inner Life project in 1981. She's been a solo artist and a freelance feature vocalist since 1977 (give or take a couple of years).
I like a lot of it but it’s different from their first two albums because this has a lot of outside material on it. Why did they cover The Four Seasons? It also suffers from muted sound because of groove cramming, and that wasn’t an issue on their first 2 albums either. Then, Luther on lead is pretty much irreplaceable. Despite all that, “Promise Your Love” is almost too beautiful.
このアルバムは 私の青春 チェンジのアルバム ミラクルズよりこのアルバムだと思っています。
this band should have bigger
I agree

This is such a groove! Just close my eyes and I’m teleported back to a time when my heart was younger and tender, and I smile to myself...and flow
1982 was the perfect time to be young. I was just a 20 year old kid interested in great music and lovely young ladies!
Same world.. Nostalgia at best..
Still remember hearing this album when I was younger. Made me fall in love with R&B, soul music. ❤❤❤❤❤
Simply fantastic!!! Thanks Romani and Malavasi!!!
Hard times is a masterpiece ! ❤❤

Is the 3rd album from change.
Wonderful 😍
The timestamp for Keep On It is off by about thirteen seconds. The song actually starts at 36:38. You may want to correct it.
Sending gratitude with much love for posting. Gave away my virginity to this album y'all!

Not finished - You must be on drugs
@@cd78 i mean, i like this track (and i love a lot of their tracks) but it could have been much bigger
why is this out of print 😒😒😒😒 cuz right now i’m 🏄🏄🏄🏄
If I'm not mistaken, the first song was definitely meant for Luther to sing. But he decided to go solo.
no they replaced him! like jolecyn.

Luther already had a solo contract with EPIC by this time and had landed his first hit single with Never Too Much.

That "Oh What A Night" cover was pretty bad.

Frankly speaking, this was a significantly disappointing album compared to Change's first TWO LP's.
Magic music
