Thanks I was out of reactions to watch lol. And you'd never heard it to which gave me a happy. You started with is he on a treadmill. Like everyone haha. Flake's on the treadmill to help keep time. They are licensed pyrotechnicians so what you see is safe and to standards. Love the effort they put into their craft. Try Engel or ich tu di wir Live at Madison square garden.
Took my wife to the LA Coliseum show in September. The final sound check on the bass drum she jumped and was like "It's going to be this loud?!?" Yes. This loud. The pyro blew her mind. Such an amazing live show.
It was 1997 when "Du Hast" was released, I was 4 years old and it blew my mind as a kid when I saw the video on MTV. I'll never forget that day and I will always remember when my Mom kept re-recording the video on VHS, so she can show my Dad once he came home from work. It blew his mind as well because we became huge fans ever since that day and Rammstein never disappointed us since. Now, fast forward 25 years later and I finally went to my first Rammstein concert here in NJ at MetLife Stadium. As in my Dad's honor, especially since it has been 10 years since he has have been gone, I made sure to not miss this show at all. I took my 64 year old rockstar Mom along with me because she's a metalhead herself and we couldn't miss this opportunity. Plus, Mom and I just couldn't stop headbanging to every song Rammstein played and we were in section 226, which was an excellent experience and I uploaded some videos myself on TH-cam. By the way, to all of you on here, Rammstein is one of my all time favorite bands and definitely the greatest band you will ever since live, which is why I recommend you all to one day go to their concert. 🎸🤘
Du hast (2nd person of to have), Du hasst (pronounced the same way, 2nd person of to hate). So "Du has(s)t mich" alone means you hate me, but "Du hast mich gefragt" means You (have) asked me... So this is a little pun. And Rammstein is spoken like rum-shtayn (like "shine" with a T). As always greetings from Germany. Have fun!
Welcome to the Rammstein rabbit hole .. a journey you will love 😂. I recommend Ich Tu Dir Weh live from Madison Square Gardens . Rammstein live shows are second to none
That's the kind of music that you crank in your bedroom and if there are any intact icicles on your house's rain-gutters by the end of it, you weren't playing it loud enough.
Christian ‘Flake’ Lorenz is the keyboardist. He uses a treadmill because he is full of nervous energy and was the only band member that was fixed in position by his instrument (his keyboard). He is also a marathon runner, so it helps him keep fit. It also looks the coolest thing ever on stage as a very tall dramatic looking man striding purposefully forward, but in fact going no where. There is a reaction video on YT which just shows short clips of reviewers suddenly realising that he’s on a treadmill, and all of them are blown away… funny video, find it and watch it!! 🤣🤣 He also plays with one hand to increase the challenge for himself. In the early years he also used to launch a rubber dinghy over the crowd with him in it and the crowd used to surf him round the mosh pit. Once he fell out and the crowd virtually stripped him naked, but he carried on… such funny shit 🤣🤣🤣. In the end he stopped doing it as he got injured so often. Till Lindemann is the lead singer with the deep voice that you love. He’s also a licensed pyrotechnician, and designs all the fireworks and explosions for their shows. It’s supposed to be a mark of a true Rammstein fan to get burnt or scorched in the first few rows of the audience, and the heat and concussion from the flames and explosions is immense. Till himself regularly gets burnt by the heat, but his band mates report that he likes the pain. He was also picked for the German swim team in the 1980 olympics, but retired due to injury. I’ve never seen them live but would love to… such an awesome live show. Loved your reaction by the way, you really seemed to enjoy it 😁💥🔥
“What the he’ll was that”? THAT was Rammstein. The keyboard player walks on a treadmill because he is pissed that the lead singer, Til, gets to move around the stage , while he is stuck in one place behind the keyboard. So in protest he walks on a treadmill. Awesome band!
Yeah 🌍Verdy this is pure love by the audience..its hard to get a France person to say hello in English.🌍👀.And her standing a German band in the typically German style same as they juse when they invaded Paris 14 june 1940. I love this Peace loving Europeans. ❤️🌍🇸🇪❤️🇸🇪❤️🇸🇪🌍❤️
Founding member and keyboardist Christian "Flake" (pron: FLAW-Kawh) Lorenz began using the treadmill years ago so he didn't look or feel awkward on stage between his parts. He can walk up to 17miles per show! A band best enjoyed live, they're known for pyrotechnics!
Rammstein shows are a phenomenon. A couple of others that you have to see are Engel and Mein Teil. Their official videos Radio, Deutschland, and Sonne are some you should check out in that form too. Engel was always my favorite Rammstein song, the studio version makes the female vocals on the chorus more prominent and the contrast with Till's deep voice is just sublime. So naturally, I'm a Jinjer fan now haha. The treadmill is something to let Flake put on a bit more of a show than standing behind the keyboard would otherwise allow.

Love Rammstein! And they're even older than I am. They must be in their 60s already, but you wouldn't know it from listening to them. Okay, just looked up their ages. The singer, Till, is 59, the others are a little younger but not much. The youngest is 51.
Rammstein has the best live songs ever, their new stage is WAAAAY better and bigger than this one, they keep growing and their shows keep getting better, also a lot of their videos are straight masterpieces, the new show they have with the song Sonne, Mein Teil, Rammstein, Ich Will, are all amazing
One of the best bands on the planet live - but also a band whose videos are some of the best you will ever see - both from the production standpoint and the visual content . As doubtless many others have suggested among those particularly worth watching are - " DEUTSCHLAND " , " ZEIT " " ANGST " & " ZICK ZACK " - their videos have a social and cultural awareness but a warning - they're not for the faint hearted , but well worth the effort
The Lightning is CGI added afterward, but besides that everything is 100% real. Till Lindemann (the Singer), is a Licenced Pyrotechian. He used to be on a short list for the Olympics as a swimmer, but didn't go, but as you can see he have kept in Shape. If you look very closely, you can see that The Fireworks he shoots over the Crowd, is guided by some Wires, where they go out to a certain spot and then comes back. It can be difficult to see. I've seen them 3 times, and two of them were outside, and there you can see the wires easyli. Flake (the keyboardist) is in fact on a threadmill, with all that fire he cannot move randomly around the set so he have a threadmill he walks on.
A friend took his daughter to see Rammstein & it was her first concert ever. They ruined every concert she ever goes to again for her. Their shoes are that damn good
Hi Verdy, thanks for reacting, I knew you would like Rammstein live, 5:10 that face and the "WHAT THE HELL" are wonderful!!! I've watched this video about thirty times since it was uploaded to Patreon, and it always makes my day. . The current tour is even more impressive. By the way, I hope everything goes well. 👍
I was at the concert at the time and yes it was a crazy thing so on the keyboard these are special effects add in post-production, on the other hand the pyrotechnics effects are real the huge room trembled but live and live it is even more impressive . As I said in another comment at the time I was 50 and I had needs a boost and well I was not disappointed unforgettable concert
Great reaction. They are amazing (I saw their current show a few months back and it is a true experience beyond the music (and I love the music). Many of their (non-live) official videos are great, very dark, but humourous too, and made with incredible imagination. They truly are a performance art industrial metal band.
I was In one of the three shows in Mexico and I only can say that was amazing! The fire, the explosions and the performance in general was incredible... That was two months ago and I have depresion post concert yet 💔
Du hast meich The next one HAS to be the incredible video called "Deutschland" Official Video is the one to watch. It is probably the greatest music video ever made. Y'all be safe
7:30 Yes, they always put in a very special and awesome live show in their concerts. Mostly lots of fire and fireworks, but always spectacular. This was triggered at the beginning of their career, as they were still in the process of learning, especially for their first live performances. They thought this would be too boring to watch and added lots and lots of stuff. A Rammstein concert is quite an experience. 8:11 Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is a special kind of guy. A bit stange but actually very funny. He is to bored during a live concert and he is a sporty person and loves running. So he decided to run on a treadmill during concerts.
A french/british/american/japanese /russian/etc. crowd singing along at the top of their lungs to a german song. That is pretty much everything you need to know about their stage performance. Also i have never seen a more mixed audience, than at Rammstein concerts. One trademark is certainly that you can enjoy them on totally different levels - just for the music, for the show, the singing along, but also when you really dive deep in. Their music videos are outstandingly good. As an example i would suggest you take a look at "Zeit", which is a calmer song, but the video and lyrics are simply stunning. (If you do, i strongly suggest, you use a version with good english captions, which is btw always a good idea)
As a genuine Rammstein-Fan I love your reaction! Thanks for that ;-) if you wanna see more fire you definitely should check out "Ich tu dir weh" and "Benzin" of them. But Rammstein has so many more interesting levels in their music, so dont miss the lyrics, they are VERY important too. allready looking forward for your next reaction, best wishes!
Great reaction ! And welcome to the world of Rammstein. There's a lot more to discover of this amazing german rock band. Go for it! Cheers, Marc ... PS. I recommend the live shows in Paris and New York City (Madison Square Garden).
I was on this show, only in another country. I stood in front of Till at 10-12 meters. For two hours of the concert, I felt as if I had come out of the oven. And a few days later I could not talk normally, because I lost my voice! This is the coolest show I have seen with my own eyes in my life!
I've been to several of their concerts the one in Sweden was eye opening , but the one in Paris was Intense . They have an Army of loyal fans like me . Du Hast !!!
A lot of people don't realize just how big time Rammstein was and still is. Very few bands singing in their native tongue have had this kind of worldwide impact on the music scene, like they have. I still remember when their music made it to the states. Du Hast was pretty much playing on every major Top 20 radio station across the nation. That album "Sehnsucht" was a banger from start to finish! And their live shows are some of the best you will ever see. They truly give their fans their money's worth. They sold out Madison Square Garden in less than 30 minutes. That is some mega rockstar level stuff! You should check out Feuer Frei next. That is one of their more pyrotechnic songs they perform and was also featured at the beginning of XXX with Vin Diesel. Killer song! But they have a library of music to dive into. Glad you enjoyed this!
Rammstein is HUGE for over 20 years now! I highly recommend some of their newest videos like "Angst", "Zeit", "Deutschland", "Zick Zack" or "Dicke Titten"! Their music videos are incredible masterpieces, often with a deep meaning behind. So you should active subtitles (auto-translate) to get a chance to better understand what they want to tell us. Another good (but older) video is "Sonne".
My metal friends can not understand my love for K-pop, and my K-pop friends can't believe I could stand listening to metal. I think music is universal, and to limit yourself to a genre or even a language is almost the definition of close mindedness. I am glad I found your channel because you are open to music in general without judging it prematurely. PS: The original video is worth checking out.
The singer Til is licensed in pyrotechnics. They all look greasy because they a slathered with an insulating gel. Just in case they miss their mark onsrage. I've heard the lightning was added in post production. The keyboardist is crazy just not that crazy.
Merci, j'aime le reaction. Treadmill is his way of keeping active. Rammstein put on a great show. After my last concert it took me two weeks to not brag about it. lol, Merci and thank you for the reaction.
I was at a concert of Rammstein in the Netherlands in 1998. He was wearing a burning long leather coat on the stage, it was a forecast of things to come!
You just entered the world of Rammstein. They are the best live band by far and their videos are incredible as well. From now on you really should check out their performances from 2019-2022. „Mein teil“ is even more crazy. Hope you check it out. Love from Germany
A comment from an Austrian on the refrain: "Du, du hast, du hast mich gefragt, du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." Translated: You, you have, you have asked, you have asked me and I didn't say anything. The German word "hast" (=have) can and must be understood here partly as hasst (=hate).... You, you hate, you hate me
One of the best concerts I have ever seen of RAMMSTEIN was in Paris. They even got permission to film their video clip "ADIEU" in the magnificent Paris Opera. Great interior and many thanks to the Paris city administration.
Rumor has it Flake ( pronounce Fla Ke) the keyboard player got bored during concerts and would do crazy things so they decided to get him a trend mill to keep him occupied while playing... again this is rumor and not sure this is true. Rammstein, is a great German metal band, the lead singer Til Linderman write and sings amazing songs and is a professional Pyro-technic as are other members of the band. Their latest album Zeit is amazing they have been around since around 1997, so welcome to Rammstein) ...or you should listen to Mutter the acoustic version to get a sense of Til's vocals and expressiveness
Sehnsucht is the second album made by Rammstein with songs like Du Hast, Engel, Buck Dich, Klavier, Alter Mann... Hertzeleid being the first album in 1994-95 with songs like Rammstein, Weisses Fleish, Seeman, Asche Zu Asche, Du Reicht So Gut... Their popularity really exploded in 1997 when Trent Reznor (from Nine Inch Nails) incorporated their soundtrack Rammstein into David Lynch's movie Lost Highway. At the same time Du Hast single was blasting all over the rock radio starions accross the globe. Being considered more industrial metal at the time they still went onto Family Values tours in 1998 in the US with nu metal bands and rap artists like Limp Bizkit, Korn, Incubus, Ice Cubes, Orgy... For metal fans it was like the 92' Barcelona Dream Team coming to town.
I had Du Hast on The Matrix Soundtrack. In 2003 I bought the first album and played it non-stop. My fave album is Reise, Reise as the songs are so good.
I do prefer albums like "Zeit" and "Mutter" to "Hertzeleid", but the first album was really amazing for such a new band, already with their distinctive sound
Great react again beauty! This is just the beginning. There is so much more for you to see and get excited about. I recommend Feuer frei or Du Riechst So Gut, live! See you at the next 🤟🏻🦊🔥🔥🔥
I worked security at the front of stage for one of their shows here in Detroit. Soooo much 🔥🔥 😂 I think I had some hairs on the back of my neck singed off. It was quite a spectacle! Even if you aren’t a fan of the music, it’s an epic show.
Normaly I listen to classical musik (more than 4000 disks). But since I discovered this exteritorial band from another planet, I'm fire and flame ... I don't know anything like RAMMSTEIN ... MEIN HERZ BRENNT‼️💝🔥
I'm glad to have seen them at a relatively small venue back in the 90s when they were on the verge of breaking big. They already had the pyros back then and it was common to get slight burns when you were standing front row haha
Well, it should be considered no small feat to get a French audience to sing at you in German ;) As for the effects, the lightning is cgi added later, the fire not so much :) The singer is a licensed pyro technician, so even if he doesn't build the fireworks himself he sure knows what they are doing. It is said that there were concerts that people in the front rows got some sort of certificate from the band daring to stand the quite extreme heat coming of the stage at times, some singed eyebrows have been known to occur, but I guess those affected wore it with pride. :)
Sorry, but i see this video from Rammstein on your channel for the first time ! Cause i'm new on your channel and i love Rammstein very much, i'm a big fan from Rammstein ! I wasnt on this concert but i've see it on my Smartphone and i can say this was one of the best concerts ever ! I love to see all the french fans singing in german ! Greatings and love from germany ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You want fire?, and theatrics?…try Mein Teil (live at the hurricane festival… probably the best version). It’s not once in a lifetime, it’s just a rammstein concert😜. Flake (the keyboardist) doesn’t like just standing around, so he walks on a treadmill. In other songs he interacts on stage… also check out Ich Ty Dir Weh. Rammstein is all about putting on a show
He's stated that 'its to easy for him to play the keyboards standing still' so he uses a treadmill to make it more interesting for him The treadmill is also between 2 keyboards as well.
Well… Bonjour and Guten Tag … Good morning and hello 👋 One does not have to be a fan of this type of music, to acknowledge that RAMMSTEIN makes a pretty dam good show…👍
If you’ve ever seen the movie triple X with Vin Diesel, they perform within the first part of the film so if you want to see another performance, watch the opening of that movie and you’ll get to see them there.
Flake the keyboardist uses the treadmill because he would get bored cause in some songs he doesnt have much to do. So he suggested a treadmill while he plays to keep him active!
you know you´ve made it when your french crowd is singing german.
This!
One just dont go to Paris and expect them to sing in German like that.
Better when they do it in Mosscow center.

Well put. I saw them in LA.

Du hast meich
The next one HAS to be the incredible video called "Deutschland" Official Video is the one to watch.
Good Idea. "Zeit" is a real masterpiece. Its a must see. "Deutschland" too but maybe too hard as next step
Great reaction thanks 🇨🇷
As a genuine Rammstein-Fan I love your reaction! Thanks for that ;-)
if you wanna see more fire you definitely should check out "Ich tu dir weh" and "Benzin" of them.
The band was still practicing. Today's shows are WAY more spectacular
I'm 42 and even my dad likes this band, it used to drive my mom up the wall 😀
I think that this is pretty much the best comment about Rammstein I have ever heard !
@@TheCrazyCanuck420I drive my wife up the wall. They can hear me pulling up out the front of our house when I come home from work 😉
Just to let you know, the first three rows at a Rammstein concert are called Hot Seats.
I definitely recommend seeing Feuer Frei and Sonne live.
Best show on the planet!!
This is metal! And I like this.
There are so many Rammstein songs or even albums to react to. You can't go wrong with the albums Herzelied, Sehnsucht, and Mutter. 🎶
I sweare i never saw a smile as sweet as from this young lady
The singer Til is licensed in pyrotechnics. They all look greasy because they a slathered with an insulating gel. Just in case they miss their mark onsrage. I've heard the lightning was added in post production. The keyboardist is crazy just not that crazy.
Merci, j'aime le reaction. Treadmill is his way of keeping active. Rammstein put on a great show. After my last concert it took me two weeks to not brag about it. lol, Merci and thank you for the reaction.
welcome to the world of Rammstein....👍👍
I was at a concert of Rammstein in the Netherlands in 1998. He was wearing a burning long leather coat on the stage, it was a forecast of things to come!
You should also listen to “Deutschland” by Rammstein and also “radio” by them. This band is amazing!
You just entered the world of Rammstein. They are the best live band by far and their videos are incredible as well. From now on you really should check out their performances from 2019-2022. „Mein teil“ is even more crazy. Hope you check it out. Love from Germany
and the official video is quite insane too, they're the best
A comment from an Austrian on the refrain:
"Du, du hast, du hast mich gefragt, du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt."
Translated:
You, you have, you have asked, you have asked me and I didn't say anything.
The German word "hast" (=have) can and must be understood here partly as hasst (=hate)....
You, you hate, you hate me
O no, es ist ein Wortspiel, because it sounds exactly the same.
Christian on a treadmill, part of the awesome Rammstein concert. I am glad they are completely unique Verdy. Thankyou.
One of the best concerts I have ever seen of RAMMSTEIN was in Paris. They even got permission to film their video clip "ADIEU" in the magnificent Paris Opera. Great interior and many thanks to the Paris city administration.
lady dont stop pliis. t . jari finland❤
Rammstein is awesome. Nothing will beat that first album. I hope you’re doing well young lady.
Your reaction was great. Please watch "Frühling in Paris" live at Paris Bercy. This song is much more melodic almost like a chanson.
Soooo much 🔥🔥
😂
I think I had some hairs on the back of my neck singed off.
It was quite a spectacle! Even if you aren’t a fan of the music, it’s an epic show.
Unbelievable 😉🤘🖤
I really enjoyed your reaction, rammstein is the best. Thank you so much 💗
Dynamite reaction altogether!!
Great to see your face at the fireworks 🎆
Normaly I listen to classical musik (more than 4000 disks).
But since I discovered this exteritorial band from another planet, I'm fire and flame ...
I don't know anything like RAMMSTEIN ...
MEIN HERZ BRENNT‼️💝🔥
First heard of this song from OST to Matrix 1 in 1999, what an amazing career band has still!
I'm glad to have seen them at a relatively small venue back in the 90s when they were on the verge of breaking big. They already had the pyros back then and it was common to get slight burns when you were standing front row haha
I would take you to a Rammstein concert in a New York second!!! Great reaction
Please react on 'Zeit' and 'Angst' , too! The videos with english subtitles, not live versions! You won't regret it, I promise! It is pure art, really
Rammsteins live shows are unbelievable they love there pyrotechnics some of there stunts are breathtaking try and watch more live rammstein.
Best live show I've ever seen!!
Rammstein is all about putting on a show
Du hast is one of 50 outstanding songs from Rammstein and thats no lie.
I've been to a lot of concerts never seen anything like them we both had the same expression we're watching that concert
WOW !! I'm with you !! Incredible !!
He's stated that 'its to easy for him to play the keyboards standing still' so he uses a treadmill to make it more interesting for him
The treadmill is also between 2 keyboards as well.
i Rammstein sono il gruppo più spettacolare da vedere dal vivo, GRANDI!!!!!
I hope we will see more Rammstein
Excellent reaction! Mine was the same.
I have seen many of your videos. Good music. nice reactions. You seem to be a really nice person with a lovely heart ❤
You always have a big smile in your face when you react. Love it. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Sweden .👍👍👍🇸🇪💕😎
Nice reaction 😀 If you listen closely you can hear Till shouting "Chantez!" at 4.34
Well…
Bonjour and Guten Tag …
Good morning and hello 👋
One does not have to be a fan of this type of music, to acknowledge that RAMMSTEIN makes a pretty dam good show…👍
My goal for her is to have a Rammstein poster on that wall at some point of her journey. xD
You have just seen the best live band in the world by far
If you’ve ever seen the movie triple X with Vin Diesel, they perform within the first part of the film so if you want to see another performance, watch the opening of that movie and you’ll get to see them there.
4:11 First time seeing that much fire in the show.... 5:10 Till Lindermann: GUY'S HOLD MY BEER....... EPIC
Flake the keyboardist uses the treadmill because he would get bored cause in some songs he doesnt have much to do. So he suggested a treadmill while he plays to keep him active!
