😀 Wow! Great demo, had no idea You could run a completed round through those things! Terrific! I have had a lot of 10 MM Jams and fought with it right and left, now I know a source of relief! Really appreciate your time.
I recommend lubing at least every 3rd or 5th case. The carbide ring will crack if put under too much force, too many extreme bulged cases in a row. I forgot to do this while resizing/bulge busting 9mm cases and destroyed a factory crimp die. If you keep it just a little lubed with some sizing wax or case lube the cases will go through with ease.
If you take the primer punch out and run the case all the way into the die it actually will size it down to the shoulder. I mean the regular sizing deprimer die. You have to punch the case back out though because the dies throat is too narrow. Obviously alot slower but it worked, i did this by placing a nylon hammer head on the press and pushed the case flush into the die.
So the bulge buster is a misnomer. The factory crimp die is actually eliminating the bulge, not the bulge buster. You could have attached some sort of stem to the ram and pushed the case thru the crimp die and it would have accomplished the same thing.
I just rewind and heard him say "you can actually run a loaded round through ..." I believe the manual and Lee video say NOT to do such common sense also remind you not to do such.
I was told that this was a dangerous procedure to do. Especially with 40 S&W on a Glock because the chamber is not a fully supported. You can have whats called a 6'oclock Kboom. See link: th-cam.com/video/_q9O-wVfQ-s/w-d-xo.html

Lube your cases, makes a world of differences. Carbide or otherwise
You ain't lying!!! Cringeworthy...

How many times do you pass a case through the bugle buster? Is case life shortened?
