  • Delhi Dehradun Expressway: Vehicles will be able to enter Delhi from these 5 places on Dehradun Expressway
In order to get rid of the jam in East and North Delhi, the construction work of new expressway is going on fast to connect Dehradun directly with Delhi. The traffic of all the main roads of the capital will be able to move directly on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway through loops and ramps. For this, entry and exit facilities will be available at five places in the Delhi border.
At the same time, this facility will be available at two places in the Ghaziabad border. The first two phases are to be constructed by December 2023, after which about 2.5 lakh vehicles will be able to go out of the border of Delhi and Ghaziabad every day without getting stuck in jam. Housing Development Council (AVP)'s Mandola residential building in Loni, Ghaziabad has been lying in cold storage for a long time. AVP is not getting buyers in it. There are also other residential schemes including Tronica City, in which the residents face the biggest traffic problem, but the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is building a two-lane ramp to connect the DDE at Mandola, With the help of which the vehicles will get the facility of boarding and disembarking directly on the expressway.
After the expressway is ready, Delhi will not have to face the jam of Yamunapar and Loni. At present, if one has to go to Dehradun via the Delhi-Saharanpur route, it takes six to seven hours. That's why people use Delhi-Meerut Expressway to go to Dehradun, but, with the construction of 210 km long new expressway, the jam on Delhi-Meerut Expressway will end along with saving time.
The people of Khekra tehsil of Baghpat will also benefit from the construction of ramp at Mandola, from where a large number of people commute to Delhi everyday for jobs and business. The people of Khekra will also be able to use the ramp to be constructed near Mandola.
Expressway Mandola will be directly connected to the expressway, whereas for the people here, the distance of Delhi (Akshardham) will be only 18 and a half kilometers. At present, it takes about one and a half hour to cover this distance, which will be covered in 20 minutes after the construction of the expressway. Not only this, the expressway is being connected to five main routes in Delhi.
Passengers will be able to reach Delhi from Dehradun in just two and a half hours, at present it takes six hours to cover the distance from Dehradun to Delhi. With the construction of the expressway, the tourism sector of Uttarakhand will also get wings of development. A wildlife corridor is also being built in this project, which will be Asia's largest wildlife corridor. This wild life corridor will be 12 km long. Under this, a tunnel will be built near Datkali temple, due to which there will be no threat to wildlife. Let us also tell the special things of this corridor. With the construction of the corridor, connectivity from Saharanpur to Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunanagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Barot and Haridwar will be excellent. In fact, the last part of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway project passes through the Rajaji National Park area, where Asia's largest wildlife corridor is being built.
A 340 meter long tunnel will be built for the movement of wildlife near Daat Kali Mandir Dehradun on Saharanpur border. Many routes will be made for the movement of wildlife on the Ganeshpur-Dehradun road. Four lane elevated flyover will be made. Whose length will be about five km. The Dehradun-Delhi Expressway project will have seven interchanges connecting Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunanagar, Baghpat, Meerut and Baraut. There will be rain water harvesting and more than 400 water recharge points at an interval of 500 metres. The project is divided into four parts. The first part is from Delhi to Baghpat. The second part is from Baghpat to Saharanpur. The third part is from Ganeshpur to Dehradun. This entire part is being made four lane. The expressway will be built in such a way that vehicles can travel at a speed of 100 km per hour. The foundation stone of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
