Charlie Rose holds the position that OJ is guilty and he ignores evidence that suggests/proves he didn't. The police tried to frame an innocent man and Charlie Rose seems to refuse that possibility and the evidence that supports it. He doesn't talk about Fuhrman's pleading the 5th when asked if he planted evidence in the trial.
Why didn't Rose question why the telephone record of Nicole's conversation with her mother that allegedly exonerate has been sealed to this day? Ans: Because Rose, like many others, want OJ to be guilty when the facts, Nicole's and Ron's alleged drug usage/involvement, the phone call timeline, etc. suggests he was innocent.
    Rose could care less that
    1. Some of the blood at the crime scene has blood preservative EDTA in it that could only have been applied in the crime lab.
    2. Vannatter against crime policy took a vial of blood to the crime scene.
    3. The bloody sock in the bedroom had blood that seeped from one side to the other which would not have been possible if a foot was in the sock.
    4. Mark Fuhrman had a anti-Black history and pled the 5th when asked if he planted evidence.
    5. Ron Goldman, trained in martial artist, had defensive words while OJ had no bruises on him.
    6. Autopsies of Nicole and Ron by experts conclude that there were two assailants, one right and the other left handed.
    7. The phone record between Nicole and her mother is sealed to this day.
Rose and others like him seem uninterested in the truth but rather want OJ to be guilty of a crime he did not commit. This is how ingrained in the minds of some anti-Black racism is in America. They reject the idea that white officers could/would frame an innocent Black man when history especially in America and Los Angeles has shown this is not only possible but in light of the facts very likely. They, I suspect, know this to be true. It is evil to want to frame an innocent Black man.
Why aren't folk who look like Fuhrman demanding he take a lie detector test and answer the question did he attempt to frame OJ? Ans: They likely know Fuhrman is guilty of trying to frame a Black man consistent with his claims recorded the tapes played in court and don't want the truth exposed.
Like a domestic abuser trying to blame their target for the abuse, America claims 'the race card is being played' whenever it's suggested and even proved that anti-Black racism infects and is present in a case. The level of deceit and vileness to try to shame others into not pointing out anti-Black racism is how America operates. Either the facts support anti-Black racism or they don't. In the minds of Rose and others. anti-Black racism isn't allowed to be considered. This is the sickness that pervades this society.

@@thomaskennedy1617 The defense did try to use it. Why aren't you and others demanding the record be unsealed? How is knowing exactly when the call was made and how long it lasted harmful unless doing so shows OJ was framed?

    • @ForeverBennett
      @ForeverBennett 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

1: This is disputed. EDTA is also found in processed foods, like McDonalds, which Simpson had consumed the night of the murders. The toxicologist, Dr. Frederic Rieders, originally stated there were only two possible sources for the EDTA - from a blood sample tube (i.e. planted) OR through contamination of the bloodstains in the laboratory. But upon redirect cross examination, he admitted that he made an error and that it might not have come from a vial at all. An FBI expert also disputed the claim it was planted. Ultimately the claim of EDTA on the sock coming from Nicole Brown's reference vial was conclusively disproved by Dr. Robin Cotton who showed the DNA in the reference vial was more degraded than the DNA on the sock, proving it could not have come from that vial.
2: True. Vannatter did have a vial of OJ's blood on him, it was in an envelope, he freely admitted that under oath. His reason? Because he wanted to hand it to the person in charge of forensics personally given that it was a high-profile case, but it was still in violation of normal police procedure. I would also point out that he was ordered to give OJ an in-person death notification about Nicole for the same reason (high-profile case), Juice was a celebrity, so cops gave him VIP treatment. Lastly, I would also point out that Vannatter had a pretty good record, not one complaint made against him his entire career, no allegations of racism or brutality. He had no motive to frame OJ.
3: Actually, the socks thing is disputed. I know there was a discrepancy with what time they were discovered/tested because the video camera filming the crime scene was showing one time, but the police were quoting another time. The camera clock had not been readjusted to daylight saving time. You'll have to do more reading into the socks, I can't explain it very well here, it would take up too much time and space. But I can tell you it's disputed.
4: Mark Fuhrman pleaded the fifth to ALL questions, not just that one. He plead the fifth because the prosecution abandoned him after the tapes had come out, he couldn't get any representation, not even his own personal lawyer would touch him, so in order to give the defence nowhere to go, he plead the fifth across the board. See, if he answers one question, then pleads the fifth on another one, it makes him look even more guilty. Pleading the fifth on all is better, but still makes him look bad. Fuhrman did indeed have a racist past, that is true, but people can change. By 1994, he was a detective, had several black friends, including assistant DA Danette Meyers who defended him, and months before the OJ murders, he had actually saved a black man, Aarick Harris, who had been wrongfully charged with the murder of a white man. True story. Harris was done for, but Fuhrman believed he was innocent and went out onto the street to find the real killer.
5: Ron trained in Karate, yes, but he was hardly an expert, nor a match for a raging ex- professional football player armed with a knife. The defensive wounds on his hands likely came from hitting the iron bars of the gate when his arms were flailing. OJ was behind him with a tight grip, Ron couldn't land a blow, he tried clawing away at his arm and head, which is how the cap and gloves were lost, but couldn't actually land any substantive blows.
6: That is false. The autopsy never concluded there were two killers. Thats all speculation.
7: The records were sealed after the defence and the prosecution BOTH stipulated that the last phone call made was around 21:44. If there was evidence to the contrary, the defence would have used it.

Not only that but the head of forensics never read the lapds manual on handling blood and dna samples
So there is absolutely no reliable dna evidence
And a couple specks of blood the size of a pin head. From a guy that slaughtered people up close an absolute blood bath.
Which those were founds weeks later. And had the chemical preservative edta just on the blood spot on a sock and not on the entire sock.

Charlie was enough in his element to get nearly every major player in this case on his show, for in depth interview. CR blatantly plays down his own knowledge of this case, but I suspect there's a good reason so many were happy to talk to him, over Larry King, Oprah etc. Cochrane really struggles to explain the softball questions posed by Lange and Vannatter during that initial interview. He also fails to recognise that Jeffrey Toobin properly researched and fact-checked his seminal account of these events. In fact "The Run of his Life" was clearly the most accurate book on this trial. Even with his dubious covert recording habits, Shapiro couldn't match that epic literary feat. For all the criticisms of Cochrane, he made a sincere effort regardless of circumstances, whereas Shapiro acted so shady throughout. Cochrane is wrong to criticise Toobin - the latter had wider perspective the former can only pretend to. I agree Darden's criticism of the jury was very wrong yet understandable given what he went through. I would take Cochrane's call for moral indignation more seriously, if he hadn't been a hired gun for a rich man who left his racial identity behind, long before he became a nationally known sportsman. Both OJ and Cochrane were very lucky with the timing of this trial, and both shamelessly capitolized on the publicity surrounding - but at the end of the day one man is probably a killer, whilst the other is just a smart lawyer who got grief for simply doing his job well ... Go figure how any of this makes sense!

In listening to this interview, I feel that Charlie Rose was attempting to show how he would have bested Johnny Cochran in this trial. The problem with that is that, 1. Charlie, you were not presently on the prosecution's team, in the courtroom, 2. Sideline quarter backing never won a game, 3. Never ask a question that you don't know the answer to. Johnny Cochran is a great attorney, and demonstrated how masterfully he dismantled your interview as he did the Prosecution's case of lies in that Courtroom. I, personally, found it quite interesting how Charlie Rose kept trying to get Johnny Cochran to imply that he felt that, at some time during his defense of OJ Simpson, that he (OJ) was guilty. Johnny Cochran stood "10 toes down " on his (OJ) innocence!!!
