No, this is not wrong! The Sikh Rehat Maryada is wrong and was published in 1945 by a group of people. The maryada present at Hazur Sahib and Patna Sahib is much older. This same Aarti was also done at Harmandir Sahib before 1920 by the Akali Nihangs. The so-called Sikh Rehat Maryada is a big fraud done towards Sikhism. It even contradicts Gurbani in many places. Great Gursikhs such as Bhai Randhir Singh of the AKJ, and Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji of Damdami Taksal, never approved of the Sikh Rehat Maryada. The Aarti which you see in this video is a Puratan practice called Aarti Aarta, which was very likely started by Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself. Bhagat Sain Ji on Ang 695 appreciates the practice of lighting joht and dhoop during Aarti in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It is a form of Sargun Bhagti and Sikhism accepts both Nirgun and Sargun worship.
