    I crocheted up to round 43 the 19 double crochets and then 2 double crochets..then I crocheted 3 rows of double crochets instead of continue increasing because for my size head it was getting to big for me. But my hat turned out perfect and Thank You for the well written instructions and the nice easy to follow video! I crocheted the teen/adult hat. Thank You!!

    This is my first ever crochet, I had a hard time at first because I've never crocheted before, but this tutorial was lovely! My hat was a bit on the big side (my fault entirely 😂), but I'm making another now that I think will fit. perfectly.

    I just finished my elf hat and I really love it. Thank you for your video and instructions online. I don’t know if my stitches are just too loose but I had to use a child size for my 21 inch head. 😊

    This is beyond my capabilities. I wanted to comment and say I love your videos! I have a question regarding treble crochet but didn’t see anything in your instructional videos to address my question. Can I ask you the question in this comment section or is there another place to ask? Thanks!

      @@CrochetGuru I have the pesky stretched stitch on a treble crochet. I have watched videos on how to correct it. One way doesn’t work no matter how I try to do it and the other is a pain in the butt and slows it down too much. What method do you use to eliminate that stretched stitch. Thanks! Glad you are making videos again. You are my favorite!

      @@shelleymiddlebrooks12 Hi Shelly, I found a video that might help you,. Check this one out and see if it helps. th-cam.com/video/VR8AfjG2J18/w-d-xo.html I really like this method of rolling the stitches forward... this isn't my video but I also roll my stitches forward as well to get a tighter tension. I hope this helps!!

    I’ll be making this hat for my 4 year old granddaughter. If it works well then I will make 1 for her little sister which is 14 months. Where are your written directions?

    I message you on you fb page but I need help making the adult size smaller. It is way to big.

    • @CrochetGuru
      @CrochetGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jessica, It might depend on your gauge. Try either using a smaller hook or stop when you get to the child size and see if that fits the head better. Thanks so much for reaching out!

    You say the ch3 is the first stitch but when you come around you say to st in first dc and not the ch im confused

    • @maryannincardona6718
      @maryannincardona6718 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Connie me too. I have tried to see where the stitch is placed, but can’t be sure

    • @amandanguyen3324
      @amandanguyen3324 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@maryannincardona6718 So when you come back around and slip stitch into the first double crochet and not the chain , and the next row you will add in the double crochet into the same stitch of the slip stitch and chain three. it took me awhile to understand too because she is basically taking a stitch away when you slip stitch into the first double crochet at the beginning that is not the chain 3.

    I wish you would tell how many stitches in the row before you start I've been crocheting for a while you are very confusing I've done way harder patterns your written pattern is confusing as well

      Agree. It would be more helpful to state what the next round consist of than to count out loud and we try to keep up.
