Thank you for this, good sir. It definitely seems like the Everse 8 sounds better, but the Spark Live is definitely not bad, especially for karaoke sessions with friends or busking. Maybe my mind will change once I get more experience with finding what vocal setups I like, but I think my SM58 with Spark Live is a solid introduction, given that I've been a guitarist since I was a teenager and can use those features simultaneously.
I love this content! I'm a big fan of Positive Grid. I had ordered the Spark LIVE and there were a lot of things I liked about it, but at the end of the day I ended up returning it and getting the Everse 8 instead. The two big reasons I made the switch to the Everse 8 are (1) the Spark Live doesn't take two mics, whereas the Everse 8 can, and (2) the Everse 8 just sounds better, in my opinion. I plug my Spark Go into the 1/8th jack of the Everse 8 and it is a great set up! I also got the Behringer Micromix for when I need more instrument inputs. Using it with Jamzone and it is great. For guitar players who only need one mic, and are willing to sacrifice a little bit of sound quality for convenience, the Spark LIVE would be the better fit. Thank you for the feedback. I'm not a TH-cam influencer, and this was my first real review of anything. LOL I agree with you that the Everse 8 is the best portable speaker in the world. Yeah I'm a big fan and have 100s of shows using various EV products. The Everse is using some black Magic or something because it shouldn't sound as full as it does. It's an 8" driver!
Everse sounds more full and open. The Spark Live sounds “hollow” like you are in a tunnel. Hard to describe.
