    It's good to see another 1850 Fisher review for those of us who are seeking more info on buying one because apart from promo stuff there isn't much else online and you can't see one in the flesh here in Brisbane since the dealership has trouble getting a display model due to the recent boom in sales combined with the covid issues. Regardless, I still made my decision and expect delivery of my 1850 Fisher within the next few weeks. This will be my first boat (apart from our small 6hp tinny) and I'm very excited. Cheers 👍

    Gosh, how I've missed watching you and team, Matt, being based Stateside now but contemplating the retirement back home, with this 1850 in the drive to take out whenever and wherever mother and I want to go. Thanks and keep up the great work! Hanging in there....

    Great having an entry level-ish review, love the high end reviews as well....but this one is more linked to reality. Would be good to see some more video of how it handles a bar, rough weather.

    Lordy, I want one here in Texas! Ya just can't beat that fuel sipper.
    At 115 hp it really flies!
    A 90 hp would be fine on her.
    I love the g2's, ETEC and Evinrude/BRP in general.
    I wonder if Mercury, or another manufacturer will buy BRP's great engineering and manufacturing??

    I've had the old evinrude 115 etec on my rib for the past 15 years. I've only had one issue, when the emm fried itself for no apparent reason. That was a grand to put right. But other than that, its been great. Really punchy v4 which is noisier than newer engines but sounds quite good, I think.
    I don't really measure my consumption, i just know when I open it up, it's a lot more thirsty. Just cruising along at 20 =25 knots it's really good on fuel though.....gives over 40 knots on m,y 5.5 m rib...lot of fun.

    Evinrude are great motors.
    Owners went from Johnson to evinrude without hesitation.
    4stroke like Merc and Yamaha are only to burn fuel. Sunday guys choose Evinrude to bring family on water for more Fun.

    Out of interest Matt, was that Stabi's pricing direct or the RRP?
    Only because it's roughly $90-$115k to get one here in South Australia which really sucks after hearing you say mid $50k's.
    Like that's a HUGE difference.

    • @UltimateFishingTV
      @UltimateFishingTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The price was correct at the time of filming (mid 2020), but with increases in aluminium, other materials and inflation it wont be a reflection of the current market.

    The welds on a brand new factory floor hardtop version I looked at were absolute rubbish, also i'm 6ft1 and had almost no clearance from the front of my forehead to the windscreen, in rough seas you would smash your face in, not sure if the cuddy is the same.. plenty of alloy boat builders in NZ, plenty of which are better at customizing a new build, like anything pays to shop around
