      Why are we not very critical in thinking in this country? We don't ask "how" question. We always stop in explaining the problem. In this short video, tell me where he explains the solution and the steps he's taking as a Senator to achieve it. He only explained the problem. Even an 18yr old who has studied a little bit about Nigeria history will tell you without struggling. As a Senator, this is what I'm expecting;
      We need to restructure Nigeria. Explain the problem bla bla bla
      I have written a Bill to be pushed in October Senate sitting
      I have Galvanized some supports from my party members.
      I have sold the idea to 10 more opposition members needed to pass the Bill and they have bought into it.
      I have Galvanized some Elites like Oba's, Igwe's, Emirs, CEO's, Religious leaders, Artistes from different regions of the country to help sell the Bill to the Presidency.
      I have raised 100m Naira and dedicate my 1yr Salaries and allowances for community sensitizations by doing TH-cam Ads, Facebook Ads, Radio Jingles, TV Ads, house-to-house meeting, etc.
      All those aforementioned moves are what a typical Senator should be taking when he has passion for a Bill. That's what their Counterparts abroad do. Making all those aforementioned moves do not guarantee the success of the Bill but at least it will be in the record that there is a Senator who tried his best to change the country.
      Don't just come and tell me history. There's nothing he said that I've not been hearing for 15years

    • @chidubemishie5945
      @chidubemishie5945 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Thabo Sethipa The way you have classified Nigeria as 'drug sellers' is one of the most common misconceptions humans make. I'm not suprised that they're Nigerians selling drugs in SA because our culture is that we have to work hard to make money however we can. This can also be seen in the United States were Nigerians make 77%of the black doctor population and 40% of the ivy league black population, when being only 3% of the US black population. In Nigeria however, the wealth gap and how hard it is for normal citizens to climb up the ladder does not help the mental health of the citizens. Almost every Nigerian will love to have to opportunity to work 20 hours a day as long as they have a job., but you see not everyone can get a good paying job. Also, you ask why we cant create a good government. Well an average Nigerian does not have any access to the government politics, voting is also difficult because we hardly have a choice, candidate A is no different from candidate B. Even if we as citizens have ideas or beliefs that we would live to implement into our system. The government is so shut out; we cant reach it. So everywhere you go you'll see Nigerians doing anything they can to climb up the ladder and get by be it selling drugs, getting a PhD, working as a maid, scamming, etc

And in fact, it is the first time any Ibo senator or politician will talk about this including Abaribe. And it is because of recent pressure from Yoruba. Your senators really like one Nigeria. Go and research about how many Yoruba senators and reps that have been talking about true federalism and the need to amend the constitution before you talk. This is about corruption at the highest level. It’s so painful to see a nation with all potentials to be a great nation but still plunges at an alarming rate into a deep shit hole. The reasoning it because, if you have not given anything back to Nigeria at that age, if you are not bold enough at that age to stand as a self institution to be able to give back to Nigeria at that age, then we would be stealing away opportunities for the younger generation.

    It should rather give birth to nations such as Biafra, Oduduwa etc. Jolly good!

    He keeps asking 'How could it happen?' If you're in the government, you should know how it's happening. Otherwise, you appear disorganize. The question was answered during the discussion. Have a more structured government with 'check points' put in place. This enables those in government to spot violators of those check points. What are the checks and balances in the government?

    For Nigeria to begin to work like it should, Nigeria must build a wall across it's porous northern borders with Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Senegal, Mali, etc. Nigeria govt must begin to annex all it's citizens data using finger print, facial pictures, through censors. Nigeria should set up a robust system of verification whereby there must be at least three people within each family that can testify under oat that each individual concern was born in Nigeria.
    Nigeria govt must also made it mandatory that each new born and deaths are recorded. This will go a long way to resolve some pressing problems of voting fraud, terrorism, financial fraud and this will help nigeria to monitor who comes in and goes out of d country at any particular time. It'll also help the govt to project and plan for it's citizens ahead of time.

      My Brother, you meant 64th richest man in the world. Our Elites are part of the problem. Most of them won't be that rich if Nigeria is working properly. Check the list of the richest people in Nigeria and tell me special innovations that they create. Maybe a very few created something. Otedola exploits our loopholes in the Oil industry. Dangote has a trade monopoly in rice importation for many years courtesy of his military friends. Adenuga and Babangida conspiracy. Alakija took advantage of our Oil. What about round-tripping that many top Banks managers always do. What about Govt contract inflations that most of our rich people are part of. If you interview most of them and ask how they made it, they will tell you it's God cos they can't explain the wuruwuru process.
