Well it can if you blast the heat at one spot. Aluminum fins are definitely delicate but you’re not gonna blow out the coil. The fins will become brittle and break easy but that’s about all I have ever seen. Just an opinion though.
I know I’m late but this might be true , might not be , I have identified issues on PMs like the tensioner being the issue and before we can get the part replaced, it breaks the belt
Being a refrigeration engineer of about 25 years all I can say is this job is hard and unrewarding. You will always make money and be in need but it’s a shite job. It’s early start late finish depending on you. I am quite ok with the job I generally get up at 5.30 and have got good with a company. I earn £23 an hour uk and time and half after 9 hours. It’s a hard job the travelling is hard the being good at your job is hard. Being good at this job takes time and learning. The backstabbing is hard unless you’re with a good crew. It’s a hard job.
Thats where this channel lost me too.... Admitting you couldn't find the leak and had no choice but to gas it up and go is acceptable. saying that it probably came undercharged is lame and makes you look extremely unprofessional
Great video, Mr.Malachy!👊🏾
Low on refrigerant yet was able to freeze it self solid?? Thinking it was an electrical issue that allowed the coils to ice up and not dethaw itself.
Low refrigerant can cause ice up
Maybe on the first few loops but not on the whole dang coil.
Damn using those long hoses on a small unit like that ?
Great video 💯💯💯💯
I thought you supposed to use brazed in ports and not piercing valves?
700 degrees on that heat gun does no damage to unit you're defrosting?

Good job bro
Obviously you didn't do the pm if belt broke and then charged to change belt on service call.
