Someone moded my 61 melody maker in the 70s alot really effects it not being original but its so much better and the pickups are in my opinion some of the best ever made 1972 gibson enbossed
I just wouldn't buy an r9.. I don't like em. Not my style. I see your point but I have fun challenging myself to polish a turd. Like the 60 cycle hum guy said a glarry/ktaxon was complete trash. I bought one hoping for more work than I ended up doing. Got a perfect guitar to make weird noise with. I found all the work worth it, but I kind of took it as a personal challenge. I had to shim the neck, cut the nut to get it more playable. Things I didn't have to do is replace the bridge and string trees with rollar parts to enjoy the trem more like I do my Jay Turser, I also replaced the trem system because he was 100 percent right about it. I didn't go crazy buying a new one, just a 25 dollar replacement with a push in arm. I also didn't have to install a toy Laser gun in it or a kill switch. Again I have no regrets, and expected it to be horrible, and it was. Not as horrible as he made it out to be though 😅😂
There's sadly a common mindset of Conservative thinking amongst Guitarists. I am not of that mindset, I like to make my guitars unique. Not one of my guitars is stock, each has something personalised on it. Tinker and tweak to your hearts consent!
@@seanbarker4610 I have some guitars that are stock but that because for now I want them that way I think it all good as long as everyone is ok and having fun😀 but I agree personalise it as much as you want 😁

Its probably the best melody maker in the world 😉👍
@zurowetz 😀
I saw Rhett Shull's video and reacted what applies to your mod "deluxe" 😉: it's your guitar, you do what you want with it.
@@jobogaert8514 right 😇
It’s funny because Les Paul modded almost every guitar that Gibson sent him
@@Comment-Leaver is that so? Guess the old man was smarter than I thought 😋
Just a comment for anyone how modes keep the original parts if you have to sell it one day you'll get more
