Golly! Ghost! is an electro-mechanical/video game arcade hybrid released by Namco in 1990; it ran on Namco System 2 hardware, and was one of the few video games produced by the company to not have scores ending in "0". It revolves around players shooting ghosts projected on a screen in front of a three-dimensional house diorama to gain a certain amount of points before time runs out. The diorama has five 24-volt globe lights that come on only during gameplay to light up the rooms - and they are all on when the game is being played during the shooting scenes, and off for the cutscenes, title screen, and high scores. It has also movable parts powered by solenoids. These parts, which include a closet door, a chest, and a toilet seat, open and close based on the movements of the ghosts in the game. A mirror inside the machine reflects the game's graphics onto the background, creating the illusion that the characters are interacting directly with the diorama. The globes are not individually controlled, and are either all on or off; the driver board powers the diorama unit's solenoids and lights via several connectors on the driver board and the guns also plug into the driver board via another small connector (it was the first Namco game to use them). In 2012, the game was adapted into a webcomic for Namco Bandai's ShiftyLook webcomic service.
The Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL. has this machine in excellent condition but it doesn’t dispense tickets. Such a neat little rarity from Namco!
Actually - the Background "was a real minihouse" in the cabinet ^^ - it was a physical diorama and the projection with the screen was done with mirrors to archieve that. Pretty genius Engeneering i only know 3 Cabinets which did that.

I finally found a game I've been searching for years! I remember this game since I was a little play at Chuck E Cheese

Namco were seriously the innovators when it came to making their arcade games back then.
How did you get the LED score and time to show through the top header artwork?
