I was having the same issue. No Spark and fuel pump wasn't turning on. I got my harness from panic so idk if its the same for you but there was a wire on the harness that had to be grounded for the fuel pump to get power and the no spark issue was a wire that I thought was a ground but actually had to go to power. Hooked it to power on the starter and it fired right up. Hope this helps.
Some reason your ignition or the ECU is still receiving power when you take the key out of the ignition, its weird all i can say is from swapping motors before it is tricky as hell and mind consuming lol. From watching the video there is a lot of wires and free components laying around in the engine bay. Make sure to run through the harness again carefully ! make sure there is no pinching wires or missing wires left unplugged from the engine to the ECU, From the cars dash lights staying on after is definitely something in the wiring that is funky that it doesn't like. Don't rush it make you a list and run through the harness in sections to verify nothing is missed that's the easiest way to go about it. BTW Much love for the videos ! Enjoying the build :)

Connect your maf to the intake, or disconnect it. It's reading that the car is trying to run and it has 0 air coming in because there is no air going threw the maf. Disconnect it to check real quick
I would say the next step would be to get some printouts of wiring diagrams and a multimeter and start doing continuity checks on wires. Unplug both ends and check: is there continuity between two ends that should be connected? Is there continuity between that wire and ground (when there should or shouldn't be)? It will take some time but I think it'll point you in the right direction. If not, well that possibility is covered.
make sure the 30 amp r/b #2 fuse is getting power at the fuse box...that sends power to the main relay itself which then sends it to the ecu , if its getting power to the black/yellow wire at the main relay make sure the w/b colored wire from the main is grounded to the car , and then check for power at pin 14 connector c86 ( black and yellow wire) on the ecu which is the ecu power , once you get squared away it'll run. get that maf on too even if you just use a short tube to the intake for now, I know the wiring like the back of my hand having done a crapload of swaps in my shop
More Skids I feel you, dude. but if you do that at least you can work on getting it all together and running like it should, then work on getting the ecu and fuel pump power. did the car come with a keyless entry system, or imobilizer? without the correct key, or imobilizer wire jumped the ecu won't get power, then in turn neither will the fuel pump
You paid to have the harness wired, but you're not getting power to the fuel pump or ecu. I've heard of panic wire and that dude is rad, just seems kinda weird.

I may just be talking out of my ass but I feel it's worth noting I just swapped my engine in my Miata (another Miata engine) and we were having the same symptoms until I hooked all the intake stuff up and then it started and idled. I know nothing of Toyota engines but some engines won't idle if they are not getting regulated airflow. Just a thought!
So earlier in the vid it looked like you didn't have a dipstick in the engine, maybe try throwing one in there cause not having a dipstick causes a pretty big vacuum leak since the crankcase is under vacuum. Might explain why it was trying to start but couldn't quite fire over.

Hook up the MAF to the IC piping. It needs to read the proper air ratio

finally it only took 30 minutes for it to actually show me the video.
power to terminal fix: find a switched wire under dash, use switched wire to control a relay, use relay to power module. problem solved.
and if you're using return style fuel, the same concept applies for a relay to the fuel pump

Just use some switches to send 12v to the B+ Pin like how you'll be most likely setting up a switch to send power to the Fuel pump..

Sounds like too advanced spark. That's why your starter has so hard times to crank it.

it sounds like you need to get a new fuel pump... not sure if your using the same one from the ka, or the one with the 1j is just a dud...
Rat Garage fuel pump is a brand new Walbro 255. It works, we hard wired it and it helped start the engine when we started it

change the ecu to standalone and rewire the car with diagram then you know what does what
