I’m 53, back in 1984 was a teenager and was a witness to b boys breaking, popping and locking! Ain’t from the Bronx- but want to hear this in 2024 OLYMPIC BREAKDANCING. Will be watching all entrants, and will be be interesting to hear the selected tunes, as much as the breaking!
We had all kinds of great music in the 80s, 90s, and underground in the early 2000s; but I think most music died in '96 with Tupac. Music changed after that. The only genre that stayed true to their essence was.......... eek...... country.
Classic, Mann Parrish, an underated producer, such as Mantronixx, half of Hip-hop as we knew back then, would not the history and culture that it is today without theses two components of "REAL HIP HOP MUSIC 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶"👑👍🤙😎☝️✌️🙏♊❤️👊🤝🤜
my favorite12" vinyl as a kid, on face book im ManDonald Thomas LOL also loved C.O.D. and Alisha" Baby talk" i still got my OG midi 808 and the new one Aira TR808s
Take the D-Train to 205th, you don’t see me cause I got the gift, im the cool MC with the vicious sounds, Im not from the Bronx but I still boogie down…
Bro… Thank you! It took me years to realize the impact that this had on peoples lives. And thank you. And I’m glad you and I got to do a remake of it. Anyone else is reading this. Check out red venom. His stuff is really good!
Just busted a tear man made to 49 this hip hop shit mean’s everything to I’m not from The Boogie Bronx but peace to that side of town who started the culture
You know what’s Crazy. Imagine the movie Juice being filmed when it was supposed too back 10 years prior in 1982 when the movie 🎥 Juice with Omar Epps ,Tupac was written. There probably would’ve been slang like You jive turkey and all in it. Lol Since Juice was filmed in the Bronx in 90 or 91. Imagine if the movie was filmed in 1980 or 1981 like it was intended. That would’ve been crazy now that I’m looking at this Bronx Boogie down video.
Who originally produced this track (and the album)? It's a fxckin shame none of these guys are household names. This is some of the best sht I've ever heard

Here in 2024
What an incredible time to be apart of the culture... Gen X kids had the best hip hop music!!! No doubt
We sure did!
Yes we did.Old School Hip Hop FOREVER.
Okur

Old school hip hop better than new
The new stuff is not hip Hop
Yeah! New stuff is R&B. REAL Hip Hop was a movement.. to many steered by the Godfather of Funk Afrika Bambaataa 👍
New isn't even a thing
We will never get theses day back I loved break dancing I’m 50 and still do the windmill as a party piece love it
Man Parrish... Legend and so f**kin underrated in electronic music history He made me fall in love with vocoders & Synths
This is my favorite jam by Man Parrish...I killed this tune over and over again in 1985/86
Me too. I knew all the words to boogie down Bronx
I'm not from the Bronx, but I still boogie down!
tahun 1985 sampai 87 gw biasa tanding breakdance bareng temen di jalan2 radio dalam pake lagu ini dan jam on it , kenangan yg ga terlupakan
There's certain songs that are so good that I immediately need to know everything about them, this is one, and I'm so glad I did a deep dive
