I remember when I took admission to a new school back in the day and the principal adviced my dad to talk in English to us, the children in English and my dad refused saying that English we'd pick up in school and from friends but we'd forget our mother tongue, culture and traditions, so even though I spent the majority of my life away from Garohills (atleast as of now) i always spoke fluent garo (though reading and writing is difficult) and have learnt the basics of our culture and traditions.........
Lucky for Amber and Michelle the get to say they have mother tongue and a father tongue....... Stay blessed Lil one's...... Don't forget you have garo blood and we never leave one of our own behind when the call comes in
