  • Hello and welcome. In this vlog we explore Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. We went on a day trip to Plitviče from Zadar, organised by a company called More Travel.
Plitviče is a series of 16 interconnected lakes in Croatia that is known for its beautiful waterfalls, forests, and hiking trails. The lakes are part of the Plitvička Jezera National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is located in the Dinaric Alps, about halfway between the capital city of Zagreb and the Adriatic Sea. The lakes are fed by several small rivers, and their crystal-clear waters are home to a variety of fish and other wildlife. The park is a popular tourist destination, and visitors can enjoy a variety of activities.
There are several ways to explore the park, including hiking, biking, and boat tours. The park is a popular tourist destination and is a great place to spend a day or a week exploring the natural beauty of Croatia.

    Alright Jamie,
Where is the best place in Europe you have been to for lakes?
I was in Lake Garda back in 2012, the scenery is stunning there.
    Cheers,
    Mikey

Hi Mikey - I’d say the most notable ones are these but this is a national park, in the past i’ve visited Lake Como, Lake Bled and Lake Leman (Montreux) - all beautiful

It's either Plitvice or Plitvička jezera (Plitvička means "belonging to Plitvice"). Cool vid

It’s Plitvice, not Plitviče. Anyway, cool video 😊

In what month of the year did you visit Plitvice?

You did wise to go through an agent. I regret to have picked the busses from the mainbus station. The Flix busses were smelly and packed. Your fare was cheaper than mine although I visited it one year later than you did.

Thanks for your comment and interesting to know that the bus journey you took wasn’t the best, I hope you enjoyed it once you were there nonetheless?

@@Jamie_Does_Life the park was definitely the highlight! The convenience of leaving the main bus station is that you can stock up on food and bread from the bakery and supermarkets behind. It's cheaper than eating at the park. The park is €€€€ and there's a queue for mediocre food
