Hi Karishma, Social judgment - is assessed based on a) past one month behaviour in social situations - was it appropriate or not b) asking hypothetical questions- “What would you do if you found a stamped envelope on the sidewalk?” “What would you do if you see a house in a fire ?” c) What is the future plan of the patient? Based on response to above questions, clinician need to interpret social judgment
For abstract thinking why do we need two different tests like asking for similarities as well as proverb test. Why just either of these is not sufficient for this purpose ?
Similarities and Differences are essential components of the General Intelligence and Reasoning. Two of the key skills any human being naturally develops, such that they can put the world around them into perspective. When there is subtle loss of abstract thinking occurs it hits the similarities first and later the differences in general situation. That means it even talks about the grade of loss
@@SureshBadaMath Thank you very much sir for clearing another doubt I had. But my basic confusion is often between the two tests namely a.) the test of similarities and differences and b.) the proverb test. Can we choose either 'a" or 'b' or there is some strong reason that compels us to use both of these?

@@SureshBadaMath In the given situation can I ask the patient," What would you do if your wife needs to go out of the city for some office work without you?"
A professional can perform these tests at a patient's bedside and no need of separate room, table, chair and a dedicated testing professional. A professional need to perform these tests by himself/herself on day to day basis
