+Yuvan Shankar hey! thank you :) Well, I draw crystals in the same way I did on green chiffon dress - pencil/fineliner + correction pen. Have you checked that tutorial?

Yes I did. The thing is, if I do it that way and I scan the finished design, the crystals don't really look as good as they do on paper and they kind of fade into the background.

I suggest you to learn and practice - study art of creation of clothing from basics, analyze human needs in todays apparel and experiment by creating few small pieces. There is no secret or rules in becoming who you want to become. It is about growing as an artist, professional and human being in general.
