    I’ve been in sales for 20 years and have made a great living. I’m married and have two sons. I scheduled my day from 5am - 5pm that allows me to get work out in the morning and focus on my job. Then from 5pm - 8pm is family time and by 10pm I’m a sleep.

    The life-work balance depends a lot on the family and the spouse specifically. Travis went to work before his family woke up and returned home at 5:30PM. At 7:30PM he is back to work and he wrapped it up after or about the time when the baby went to bed. So 2 hours a day for the family - there is your balance, and if you ask me - for a man who goes after it - that is perfectly fine.

    Also for certain things, you have to sacrifices your time as well. If you are not growing than what exactly are you doing? Real success happens when you work beyond the job title, requirements, and 8 am to 6 pm timeframe. Same thing for whatever your goal is for your life.

    Could I ask your advice? I'm a property manager now in Seattle, I handle around 15 condos. It's...fine, but no matter how hard I work, I'm tied to my wage. 20 emails a day, 200 emails a day - I get paid the same no matter what my drive and production is like. I'm very, very good with people, which is why I excel as a manager despite HOAs/COAs being a general nightmare. Would my experience lend to sales; is being a people-person one of the best driving factors? I just want to make more money. I'm single, no kids - I just want to make some damn money.
    I see and fear that so much of the field is disingenuous - which, I'm sorry to say I cannot fake - but then I stumble upon a channel like yours, where you're just a solid dude, being a solid dude, and that seems to be worth so much. I guess my bigger question is - do you have to be a "hustling shark" kind of person to really make it in sales, or are those often the people who fail quickest?

    • @BusinessAndFitness
      @BusinessAndFitness  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1
