In silver and low elo in general, when you see an extremely offmeta pick that definitely looks like it won’t work, you don’t go “oh this is an easy win” you go “oh crap I’m gonna lose to this shit”

Hey man, I actually had an idea for a series where you TRY to climb to challenger with random off-meta picks. So each match is a different character/build and you could possibly even do it so that you play different roles as well. The goal of the series would just be to see how far you can get. So its not as serious as your normal high elo gameplay and no one really expects of you to be at your A-game all of the time. So, it should hopefully make it a bit less straining to make the content. Also, you'll be able to get more viewership simply because you would be playing a lot of different champions.
This is like a compromise between the people that want high elo ranked content and those that don't mind low elo but wacky content. I was thinking you could call the series: "Meme to Challenger"
Feel free to use as much or as little of this idea as you want.

Some things I really appreciate about these videos:
- They're fresh and new, I enjoy seeing you playing different champs
- You play against weaker opponents but you don't put them down or try to make them feel bad; you identify their mistakes so we can learn from them, but you're always respectful of the person
- You're transparent about the ELO
I also liked how you explained how/when these off-meta builds can work (the concept of being ahead of the curve), instead of making clickbaity "THIS IS OP".

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Darius was very close to dying at the end but he healed a looot
yeah all of their champs had some kinda healing ability except MF (unless u count her summoner spell)
Tbh yuumi does so little damage as it is buying a healing reduction item just guts your potential dps so in this case you kinda just have to build straight damage and hope your teammates build it for you, at least imo

Hey Pekin, just wanted to say that I have massive respect for you and what you do. I don't even play League that much anymore, but you're the only gaming channel on TH-cam I consistently watch. It's largely because of how chill your videos are and how resistant to toxicity you are, although a part of me thinks that might be related to the stagnation in views. Unfortunately people like drama and high energy, easily digestible trash, that's kind of just the way they are. Either way, I really genuinely hope your channel succeeds without the need to resort to doing a hot tub stream or slapping the shit out of Chris Rock, because you deserve it

The reason I enjoy watching these videos and really anything else you post where you talk about the gameplay and WHY you do it, is because I've watched other mid laners play but just say vague statements of them winning a trade but not explaining why. I truthfully still don't know how to play mid lane, but by literally watching and listening to everything you say about yourself and your team, it helps tremendously. So even in this kind of matchup, because your game sense is high and you're talking about everything before, during and after it's awesome to watch this kinda gameplay. For AD yuumi you gotta go like hard crit. Essence reaver works on her actually, my friend says to go
Kraken or Gale / Shieldbow if vs a team that just is gonna farm you.
Then you want cdr, you wanna be spamming your E and then w repositioning as much as possible in fights. Your low range - abuse the fact your teammates aren't.
So you basically can use their range to reposition in fights. (Lethal tempo or PTA was correct.
Full build she goes is
mythic - essence reaver - navori quickblades - LDR or IE - IE or Rapidfirecannon - Then whatever you need to finish it off with.
Idk, she says its better to just spam E a ton and get mana back in fights than doing on-hit dmg. But she normally goes kraken sooo
a few days ago i played ad yuumi top with fleet im a high silver/ gold player and the average elo was around bronze 3 i think and i won the game easily against shen and i went 6/0 in laning phase and played yuumi like a splitpusher. it was one of the funniest games ive ever had

honeslty I'm lowkey surprised that yuumi hasn't been played adc at all since release. She has surprisingly strong base attack (for an enchanter), ridiculous self-peel with her W, an attackspeed steroid and sustain/shield mitigation with E and P, solid X v X with R (even if it still disarms you for 3 seconds), and if you happen to become irrelevant you still have your W to buff them if absolutely nothing else.
The only 2 things are her attackspeed level scaling and her attack range
not that I'm condoning this, per se, but it is surprising to me that I've not seen anything about it

I had an idea, I would find "tutorial" content very interesting. I feel like all your videoes are tutorials already (bcuz of informative commentary). I think it would be cool if you hard focused on one topic in a video, example topics: wave control, roaming, snowballing with early game pick, etc.. So basically make videoes as you do with an intense focus on specific subjects, and angle the videoes like a "wave control in challenger tutorial".
Idk what you think about it, just wanted to share my thoughts in case that helps. Have a good one ;)
I know you have some videoes kinda like this: "how to zoe when losing", "how to play zoe like challenger". But I would personally find it interesting with Even more specific topics and more of this content.

I avoided watching norms videos from you for quite a while now but this one was enjoyable.
I've been having fun with Vel'Koz top with Ghost, Phase Rush, Night Harvester and Cosmic Drive to beat all the bruisers with range and movespeed poke. It works well cause you get ahead in gold early from poke and early kills and as Pekin said, once you're ahead in items most builds and champs look really strong.

I love a good honest smurf game from a player who still mostly does challenger. I hope this video gets views so you do more. I want to know what elo one of your accounts would end up if you played purely stupid meta on it in ranked.
i have a question as a silver elo player, do high elo players usually buy antiheals when needed or they neglect it?
since yuumi is one of my go-to non-meta champions to chill on top lane...
i'd say it's not that bad pick to "show off". you can consistently kill opponent few times cuz she is very strong during early game (especially if you'll take exhaust instead of ignites) due to her base numbers. farming is painful though. even with hurricane or titanic you barely have waveclear.
but she quickly fall off mid game. so you either snowball by that point or will turn into 2nd support. she also has a huge downside cuz she can't attack and ult at the same time...
not a fan of LT on her though. i think PtA gives more burst and danger (especially cuz you can time it with your passive's AA reset). or even grasp.

As someone who plays yuumi in mid on occasion and pretty consistently smashes people with it in silver and makes all my friends laugh--- While it's a bad pick, I am happy that you did it correctly... I would recommend PTA for next time- but watching people be like "OOH YUUMI TOP" or "OMG AP YUUMI MID"- or even starting Q- it kind of pisses me off because I know it's just WRONG. Then everyone talks about it like they know something I don't about it because a youtuber got lucky with their terrible version of a bad pick- lmao

I found this video to not be that enjoyable because it was all explaining each decision you made, even though it’s a fun yummi mid game. Hopefully this helps you add more variety in your content since you were saying you’re a bit lost!

When i play yuumi AD mid or top. I build PTA with shield bash. because her passive always has a shield. it's a lot of damage early game.

if your last item slot was a toss up, why not go for grievous wounds with one of the upgradables from Executioner's Calling? Specially given how heal heavy the enemy team was.
