Anderlecht fan here. For some explanation, supporters are crazy mad at the board and the coach for recent (very) bad result and on and off the pitch dissapointments. 8th defeat in the league, 10 in all competitions just feels very wrong for us. Still, unnaceptable to bring the game to a stop like this, but the anger is understandable. Sclessin is back too their best in terms of atmosphere. Great to have such a good stadium in Belgium. Great video.

Seems like a lot of the visiting "fans" made the trip to liege with the sole intent of causing destruction during and after the game 🤷♂️

Standard fan here and it is nice to read you man : last year we were in a far worse situation than your team.. and now we are back in the game... i am sure it will be the case for your team too soon... honestly, in our small belgium, we need you and you need us for such crazy moments...
Anger towards the club management might be understandable. But to fuck up the game while being 2 goals down and 35mins to play , resulting in your team to lose 0-5 (in a clasico) is just disrespectfull to the players and all the RSCA fans. You stand behind your team and support the young lads who are giving there best at all times. Coming from a Club Brugge fan who had to deal with this pain for over 10 years not winning a single thing. Not once we acted like 14 year old kids , the way the ''fans'' did at that game.

As Standard fan I found this video in personal suggestions and I must admit I love the way it is recorded from the introduction inside the city to the end of the game inside the stadium. Sad the referee needed to stop the game this way, doesn't matter from which club the perpretrators are or the reason why they did it's a shame for football and reputation of our country. I started following Standard fans for games all around the country or in european competitions, i also followed friends fans from other clubs like Charleroi, Bruges or Anderlecht and everywhere i saw a minority causing damages or fights inside and outside stadiums but for the most part fans are amazing, jump sing and dance before and after games. If I may suggest you an other visit in Belgium, you should follow Union Saint Gilloise in Brussels. This club has a great history, came back in Jupiler pro League last season and almost did the same as Leicester if Bruges didn't stop them in Play-offs. With short financial budget they build a team who is still competitive in the national league but also in Europa League this season and the fans create a festive atmosphere.
You should do some research, Union has one of the highest budgets in the league.

You chose the right game, Standard de Liege fans have by far the best atmosphere in Belgium. Some background: the past years the club performed horribly (last season they finished 14th) and nearly went bankrupt, last summer new owners came in and the club has started building on the way back to the top, where it belongs. Regarding Anderlecht: they have been performing ok compared to Standard de Liege and even qualified for European football last season, but this season has been terrible and their fans have never been in this situation (they are used to winning title after title) so they decided to cancel this particular game against their biggest rivals. Standard de Liege fans have done the same in the past so nobody is angry, they are very familiar with the frustration (they have a long history of our club being run poorly).
Also, I'm surprised you managed to cram a very eventful night into just 8 minutes, which is a bit of a shame. There was so much going on, the atmosphere during the break was insane and you skipped the celebration with the fans afterwards as well as the wedding proposal by one of the players.
