I saw Snow Walker maybe 15 years ago on Film4 channel. I happened upon it late in the night, I knew from the description that I was going to find it visually pleasing and emotionally heartfelt. By the end I was covered in my tears, down my neck and chest, and exhausted from riding every emotion with the characters. I don't think I have (previously or since) cried so much from a movie, and also feeling satisfied with a definitive "ending". I remember, I was gobsmacked that I hadn't heard of the film and never seen it advertised before. To this day it's still a hidden gem. I would reccomend this film to everyone, I found that it aged very well. It's respectful and tasteful compared to most movies and series portraying cultural diversities. It feels like EVERYTHING was carefully thought through and examined as a team to create the best outcome for the story. The main characters partnership is magical, the film is a masterpiece and to be honest should be appreciated.
Knowing Barry, this character's development through the movie turns into who Barry truly is. He was acting at the beginning of the movie with selfishness and true to who he is at the middle and end of movie with selflessness. My favorite by far. Great interview.

💜wasn't Annabelle's laugh just adorable, as Barry and herself converse all the many times? One of the many things again I personally find powerful. Every time she laughs or just watching her connect with the animals or "Charlie." Tolles film!
💜 this movie was extraordinary and I agree, it spoke volumes. Both Barry and Annabelle were superb. To have worked not on some fake set, to see a film an action made in the beauty of mother nature and the cute bond Charlie and Nakeelah develop is cute.
This was the first film that I have seen with Barry in but I loved his short role in the movie seven pounds as well. I was searching for a romantic film deeply enriched with emotions and hardships , and here i am !! . This movie brought back the memories of THE BLUE LAGOON . It goes beyond the intimacy part , as it focuses on humane aspects of and beliefes of afterlife . The duos stranded in a seluded place , barry pepper transforming into optimistic and sober , and annabella , despite her ailing health shows up surprising skills amidst the crisis and her calm mind soothing out barry pepper even in his almost near death experience . I MUST SAY GIRL LIKE ANNABELLE CAN BE ANYONE'S DREAM AS A WIFE . She had integrity , righteousness , and faithful . At first i was expecting some couple either married or intimate adventurous enough to wander and emerge stronger , here it went beyond my expectations , as an unknown girl annabella in barries life , getting close to him and becoming larger than life , and integrity in her character has no definition (beyond words ) . and beyond limits , wandering out to die so that someone else can live ! ,this romance was pure and there was not an inch of physical intimacy , it was all from heart . Barrie's previous girl friend only carrries connection at start of movie , but movie gets better once plane crashes onto backwaters . screen play , acting , direction , editing is perfect and every characters is developed which gets richer by richer as film progresses , and its into very detailing and wonderfully explains how its necessry to stay near the aircraft if it crashes . Some very life lessons , you can find lots of it in this film. The climax i was expecting barrie and annabella going to city , and her disease getting treated , now as they trenched in love both cant stay apart , so makes decision to marry both , his previous fiancee and annabella. This could have been happy ending , but destiny had other ways , and it was very sorrowful in the end . Whatever is the climax , the girl Anabella and her memories will forever be enriched in barries heart and. so as viewers .
Barry pepper is a great actor. He is my inspiration for looking play. It's fun to watch him shoot with his. And he plays his roll always very good. He has become to my favorite actor. I thank God that there is. :)
Not knowing this movie, I watched. This movie is a nice surprise. Barry did an excellent job as well as the girl. I think this movie could be rereleased.
A well spoken good actor that is very under rated in his chosen field.Would love to see him given a major role in a movie that shows his full potential ....Well done mate keep up your dedication to your trade ....Fred in Australia come on down some time and make a movie down under :)
This man has a special trait in any role he plays. He did so well in this movie which was quite a different kind of role for him to pull off. I wonder why he didn't become a top 5% actor because he is one of the best. She was so real as well and they jelled with each other so well.
This is an older post but long ago I was hiking with our group in S. Oregon Mountains. At a certain level up the mountain there was a huge ball of mosquitoes behind each hiker. We ran!!!

"The Snow Walker" is the most moving and exciting film I have seen in my 70+ years. Annabella Piutattuk was amazing...it should have gotten an Oscar.

Beautiful heartfelt movie! He really played a great part, with a wonderful message.
Towards the end, it is obvious he loves his co-star. When she died, I wanted to crawl into hole and go to sleep with her.

One striking scene in "The Snow Walker" was the "clouds" of mosquitos.
You can't fake that panic. It must have been unreal to endure.
