I just recently bought a car off copart labelled a cat N. Done a Hpi check after buying and turns out it’s a category S. spoke to copart a couple of weeks ago and they mentioned that it comes down to insurance, so now I have to go through customer support to either A: have the car corrected to a category N or B get paid out a %. Which I highly doubt tbh.
They will recaterise it I’ve had it although they never gave me a pennie just but a cat s on the car and it was worth less wish I had shut my mouth lol

It's the insurance assessor that does the category, I don't think copart will care too much to reassess a car themselves
