That is the only female officer ive seen on all the badge cam videos i feel comfortable saying is a capable police officer. She was smart in taking him down immediately as she has the weight advantage and his arm strength might have been able to overpower hers so it was a good way of getting control of him quickly. Moreover she remained calm and collected. Kudos to her.
That has to be a hard position to be in where youre trying to take a gun from someone to protect yourself which becomes taking a gun from him to save his life and then having to shoot him to protect everyone. Crazy.
This officer was legitimately a consummate professional! As soon as she saw it was going bad, she double leg takedown style attacked this guy, with tremendous purpose and still remained cool as a cucumber even after being shot. What a champion. Wonderful exemplification of using the appropriate, although what may have seemed high level of force, force necessary to stop tremendously egregious force from occurring. What is the female equivalent of the special pants brigade? Not to disparage other female officers but this is probably the most impressive female officer I've ever seen on the channel. She controlled the hips and waist. Almost every cop grabs the head. She used proper technique. Don't know who the hell is training cops to attack high, but they need to stop.
Ya she did do that and got shot. Idk what the right thing to do is but I feel like bear hugging someone and not securing their hands is bad. I do a bit of mma for fun and I’ve been taught to watch the hands.
Thank god the officer turned out ok and was able to go back to work. She managed to take him down but it was unfortunate that the suspect wasn’t restrained with more force to prevent the incident. Things could off gotten worse but it didn’t, and that what mattered. A++ for this Officer.
Good for her for not hesitating and taking this guy down. She read him like a book. She’s the right person for field training! Whew…that trainee’s finger on the trigger is serious stuff.
Professional mullet appraiser/historian here. That is indeed a very nice mullet. Little short on the sides, but overall great. The curly hair reminds me of the point break Patrick Swayze style. It has been well known since ancient times that mullets bestow the bearer with great powers both in battle and of the mind. Hannibal famously wore a mullet at the battle of Cannae, and it played a large role in his resounding victory, reportedly frightening the romans to such a degree that they tore out their own hair in shame, which in turn broke their formations.
This is an example of an amazing police officer. She takes control of the situation just as well, and I would argue better than most male officers, and it looked like she knew a decent bit of grappling, too. She kind of reminded me if a female Judo black belt that I know. Also, that was a lot of blood coming outta that guy real quick. How did that guy survive? You can quite literally hear it coming out.
At first I thought that was just them scraping across the drive way creating that sound, but it's perfectly timed with the blood streams. It's either because he tensed up, forcing more blood out in spurts, or he got damn lucky.
Probably created a clean exit and entry wound. If that happened you could definetly bandage and staunch the bleeding so . Not sure how she didn't hit anything vital but he was lucky.
Usually your FTO teaches you these skills. Mine taught me to actually immediately call for back up and stall until they get there. I had many conversations with people I knew were wanted, sometimes for assaults on police, until my backup arrived. A smart officer will do this anytime they sense a potential problem.
FTO handled the situation spectacularly. I especially like the way she way asked him to hop out of the car then intercept him as he is getting out of the vehicle. She dominated by smothering then taking the perp down. Great body control. She let him know exactly what would happen if he went for the gun. No verbal massaging. Straight to the point. Glad the officer will make a full recovery. And the officer in training did their job as well. The truth is never hard to remember
