Great job ladies on both the piano piece, as well as the vocals! It's not a simple piano arrangement to play. Michael R. Hicks really turned this hymn into a masterpiece.
My favorite song. I think your awesome Calee Reed. For what you've been through you can sing this song with your whole heart. You know that He redeems us because of what you've been through. My story is similar to yours. It is the hardest thing a human can go through.. I honestly believe that.
Someone save me from all these terrible singers who are trying to turn this beloved hymn into some kind of romantic abomination. She has no clue what this song is about or how it's supposed to be sung. It's a song of joy, of adoration, of happiness not some funeral dirge. This isn't a Lenten song it's and Easter song.
Thankfully, we can all worship the Lord in our own ways. She uses well the power of dynamics to take us from grief to celebration of his death and ressurection. What a beautiful message. It has powerfully touched my heart--Christ lives, and because He lives, so will I.
@@MissDaisila Good for you, obviously you've never felt the power of this song when it's sung with it's original music and in the tone the author intended.
I believe you are expecting the traditional song that is sung in other churches. This is the Latter Day Sait version that appears in their hymnbook. This is a powerful version of that song and the singer performs it beautifully. There are actually many different versions of this song which shares similar lyrics but with very different music. This version reminds me of the amazing testimony of Bruce R. McConkie. I sing this version often and for me, it is impossible not to feel the redeeming power of my Savior. I appreciate your opinion however, for me it is the exact opposite.
Beautiful job ladies!!
I enjoy hearing this song! Calee Reed does a great job. The piano part is very good as well.
