Hiiii Justine! Big fan here, you may not see this comment, and you might have even picked a show name already. But I think a good show name for Cupid would be "Ya' Love Me Yet?", "Doin' It All For Love" or "Mr. Matchmaker"! (Hope you like these choices!!!

How will showing in the hunters work? I know in the usef rulebook it says you can't show in the hunters and eq bitless sadly. Idk how it works at local schooling shows though. If you can't show at local shows in the hunters bitless will you still show him in the hunters in a bit or would you consider the jumper ring with a slower speed?
I highly doubt I'd do any usef shows. So then it's up to the discretion of the local shows if I can go bitless. If not, I will ride in a bit for the day.

He’s adorable! He looks exactly like my OTTB, Nola. I’m a sucker for chestnuts with chrome haha.
Also a tip I’ve worked on with my younger horse is once you get basic “leg” cues into him, try making them lighter. Such as lightly tapping him with your finger and he should move over, etc. It really helped with my mare with being stiff, and it makes life a little easier to be lighter with cues!
Yes the lightest of cues should be the goal with every horse! :D
Hi Justine! I know u used to do Derbies on Charlotte. I’m doing my first EVER derby this weekend (2ft derby) and I need tips on how to ride a handy round/derby course. Also do u have any tips to combat show nerves?

Ok first question: Are horses allowed to go bitless in the hunters now? I honestly thought they could only go in a bit. Second question: Do you think you will stick to unrated showing with him like you did Holly, or is it too early to tell? I'm really curious about these and I'm very excited to see y'all's journey together
In California you aren’t allowed to do bitless in the hunters
Bitless isn’t allowed in the hunter at a recognized show like A or AA rated i know that for sure. You would have to check the rules for your local circuit to see if it’s allowed there
I do not have usef show money XD So likely just local shows. So it's up the individual show org if I can go bitless. If not, he already knows how to ride in a bit and light contact is the goal anyways, so I'd just use a bit for the show day if necessary.

He already knows how to ride in a bit. When we're home, he'll be bitless. For showing, I'll be doing local shows so it's up to them if I can go bitless. If not, then I'd use a bit for the show day.
