Some place that Will has! Saw the leeks with the pipe protector around to give a longer white part and hence longer leeks. I bought a load of leek plants cheaply towards the end of July. When my first early potatoes were harvested, I planted 5 leek plants in each potato grow bag and consequently have 25 leeks in bags. The beauty of using potato bags is that you can roll the sides right down and plant your leeks. As the leeks begin to grow, top up with the old potato soil and unroll the bags a bit as necessary. That way there is no need to put anything around the leek stems and you can grow them about 2 feet long inside the potato bags. We'll see later if I need to slit an old flower pot and put that around the leeks for further growth! Hope you and your followers will benefit from my adventure! Regards, Bob (U.K.). P.S. Great video; the wool mulch caught my attention. Bit of online research showed good for nitrogen slow release, however lanolin in the outer part of the fleece makes the wool water repellent requiring wool 'agitating' to thin the lanolin thus reducing the retention. Good loft insulation, I would have thought, but that's another story. Enjoyable walk round the garden, thanks.
