The video was filmed at the St Patricks day parade in NY early 90s. Even at hard rock/ metal clubs this song was played constantly... EVERYONE loved this song way back.
Classic!
It was a straight up banger in the days shit you throw it on today and people will jump around
Filmed in NYC during Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. The police uniforms, the tall buildings, the army of Irish ☘️ people….no doubt. Hold my beer-I gotta Jump Around!
When this came out, we were ALL jumping around in the club.... This will always be a dance floor filling song.
why nobody react to shamrocks and shenanigans? Jump around was cool but thats what the streets were listening to off that album when it came out lol
Yeah, that was the first track I heard of house of pain, it was on beavis and butthead, it blew my mind. Tried to find the song everywhere and got the album, fine malt lyrics, as it was on there, but it was a different mix. I got the single on vinyl later though and it was on there. Wish I still had it...
A Banger and many a balconies collapsed due to this song😂
Yeah these guys are South Boston (Southie) Irish and man you’ve no idea how these guys capture the pride. This song was an anthem for all us kids who grew up Irish American in the Northeast. Absolutely love this song.
This group has nothing to do with Boston they’re from LA, this video was filmed at the St. Patty’s day parade in New York to provide an “Irish” vibe
Does it ruin your childhood to know that none of these guys are from Boston?
The front man in the video is Irish. Everlast was his name ,he went solo after sometime.i was raised up in Raleigh N.C. & the car club back then was Looney Tunes low riders! Capital Blvd was the place to cruise& bump ur music & light up ur ground effects back in the 90's! I will say most of the time u bumped this song..in addition to Sir Mix Alot-"Baby got back",NWA/EazyE,Chub Rock"just the 2of us",LL CoolJ,(any) Public enemy,2 Live Crew... OMG just so many! Anything that had that bass drop 💯🔥🔥😎
I still know every word to this tune!!! It was a staple for most Irish kids in the 90’s.
I love this OG Song 🎧 🎶🔥👍🏽😝. This was a BANGER back in the day!! Loved 🥰 this. Thank you for sharing your Reaction.
I was lucky to see House of pain in '94. 16.000 inside a giant inside stage area. 16.000 jumped around. Epic!
We were jumping and dancing on it in the Clubs, here in Quebec, Canada ! .. a classic
They are Irish descent and from California, but this video is from NYC during the Saint Paddy's day parade. He is wearing a Celtics jersey and that confuses people. I know what NYC looked like back then, I was born and raised. That guy with the sign was always outside of the old Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
when this used to be played in the clubs life was a dang party! It just allways made the crowd move and jump around like no other hip hop track ever did.
Everlast - Whitey Ford Sings the Blues - “what it’s like”
Same dude different genre even but also a classic. Dude is a dope lyricist.
I remember when they came out, everyone was so confused.
This made me jump in the day, and it still does
