RAJASEKHARA CHARITRA by famous Social Reformer and writer Kandukuri Veeresalingam is considered as the first novel in Telugu literature. It is the story of Rajasekharam who lost all his wealth due to superstitious beliefs and underwent many travails. He came out of his problems with help extended in disguise by a king.
