Do the sticks feel weird when ur aiming and stuff compared to a normal controller? I know the newer handhelds like the ally X and steam deck oled integrated torsion and newer sticks cuz that was a complaint with the older ones
I know you lose some peformance for the screen mirror, but 900p 70% render res 40 - 50 fps? Try turning some setting down, most of them barely do anything and the game will run 40-50 fps in the same area at naitive 1080p at 18 watts.
I will try that later. The only thing that was not at the lowest was the texture quality and anti aliasing, but usually those dont affect performance usually. The rest of the settings are on the lowest. The screen is also good enough that I find 900p is the sweet spot for performance to fidelity sake.
@@FrozenVayneGames I had textures on highest they go, filtering x16, smaa on and ambient occlusion off everything else as low as they go, i was just so surprised how badly yours was running considering thats what 70% of 900p which is sub 720p and when I set 720p it can run in well in excess of 80 or 90 fps so you know something seems off
@@eggamyer3371 game is completely playable on the ally for 95% of the content in this game. I ran through most of the final shape campaign on legend using the Ally and it was completely playable.
is ~60fps actually good though? i play on pc at 120 and 60 looks yuckyyy after that, but with the smaller screen i know it can be much easier to handle. playing around 40-60 though sounds rough especially if the ally can go to 120
On a controller it’s completely fine. Its around the same framerate the current gen consoles run this game at. Take it from someone who plays it also on PC at 165. Destiny 2 absolutely cannot run this game at 120 at a decent settings option.
The rog ally from my experience runs this game way better, but part of that reason is Steam deck’s subpar support of windows. If this game natively supports SteamOS i could see them being much closer with proper optimization
@@DeepStone-6 It's just OK on Steam Deck, have to lower each setting to get it to play at 40-45 FPS. For someone who plays on PC with a 4090, I would gladly take it if it ran at 60 FPS...
Am glad it runs well. Will start playing on it.
Thanks for the video on this! Ally X might be "slightly" better. Maybe it won't melt the SD card slot at least.
you should run the Excision Mission on the ROG Ally.
lol
Ive gotten destiny 2 on the 3ds
Its not that deep

I wanna grab one of these!

I really want to get the ROG ally for Destiny but I'm worried about the fps :/

Are there any input lag? I have a Onexfly and there is input lag

If you run it at 720p it looks and runs great.
The VRR on the ROG ally make frame rates that drop and are variable very smooth, 60 will look just fine on its display
Didn’t know steam deck could play destiny. How does Destiny compare on asus vs stream?
Steam deck can't play Destiny 2 out of the box I think you gotta dual boot Windows on it

How do you install destiny 2 on it?

Is this ROG Ally z1 extreme or just z1
Z1 extreme
I thought playing on something like rog ally gets you banned
They dont care what device you play with, just as long as you play on Windows.
