Nothing but smiles for this one! My mom and I used to scream this in her van when I was little. I'm big now, and my mom is still my best friend. I love her so much!
I was singing this when I was a kid. Now that I'm a big girl and facing so many struggles, I can relate more now 😭😭 BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY. KEEP STRONGER!
I can definitely relate- I have many losses and I'm still quite young, this leads to me being really sensitive; I also love animals; Meanwhile my best friends don't even really LIKE me so losing my real friends, and my pets: It's like a bullet to the heart. I'm actually crying while I'm typing this because I just lost another. *Remember to stay strong, big girls don't cry- and neither should you*
Strong ppl do cry don't get it twisted but girls need alone time to keep honing their craft since they r very different than a guys life no blurred lines
i remember singing this as a little kid in my older cousins car. she would take me everywhere and this song would always come on and she’d be singing it full blast with me. i asked her why she liked this song sm and she told me her brother (my other cousin) passed in a car accident in 2005, just a year after i was born. i never got to meet him but she would always speak highly of him and i reminded her of him. we had the same spirit and kind heart. i am so sad i never got to meet him but i feel a connection with him still. now i’m 20 with so many questions about life and how this song is so special to me. i hadn’t heard it since i was a kid and it randomly popped up on my pandora the other day and i just bursted into tears on how i could forget such a great song.
2022 and this just made me cry thinking about when this song was at its peak. Singing this with my brother and his girlfriend. Beautiful memories. 4 years ago I lost that same brother to suicide. I miss him so much. Then I run into the song after not hearing it for so long, and it took my mind right back to that specific time of us singing This Together.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Its definitely a beautiful memories, thanks for sharing it here with us. Take your time to grieve & move to new schedule. I lost my dad in May and its still hard to cope tbh.. Some days are worse, some days are better. I'll keep you in my prayer, know that hes in better place now 🥺🌹
I am so sorry for your loss. Such precious memories with your brother 💛 I hope you find comfort and little by little it will get more bearable to live with your grief. God bless you dear
It definitely takes you down memory lane, I was 5 years old when this song came out, and my mom would always play it with my sister and I and best believe it made my childhood. I get sad listening to it now because I wish I can go back and relive those beautiful memories I took for granted, my mom and dad were right that times are rough now, and knowing that my parents are getting old and knowing that they won’t be here long gets to me so bad and makes me want to turn back time and appreciate them more and spend time with them even more.
Gotta remind myself that Fergie can slayy with her vocals except for when she was the representative in singing the U.S.A National Anthem, you are forgiven Fergie especially this song is such a timeless masterpiece.
12 years since I heard this song from my classmates wayback in middle school. Back when song books with chords and lyrics were a thing, we have short “programs” inside the classroom everytime before the class starts, back when the days were just a whole lot better with the people you get along so well with and just singing to every song in the song book. Golden days of schooling and teenage life.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!” ❤️ Jesus is King!
I lost my mother today. she’d play this song when I was a kid and we’d always jam out together. she’s the strongest person I’ve ever met and I’m blessed to have her as my mom
This used to be my mom's ringtone for awhile when I was a kid. And now it's been about a month since she passed. I miss her so much. This song is beautiful
I love the chorus ("I hope you know, I hope you know that this has nothing to do with you. It's personal myself and I" specifically) of this song, it is my favorite part. However, we ("big girls"/women) most certainly do cry. This is one of my go-to songs whenever I am feeling sad or depressed. Edit: Great song, love it.
Wow☺️.!!It's a classic one..Big respect goes out to Fergie..I also love the remix of this same song featuring Sean Kingston..When this song got released was only 14yrs old
I don’t cry at all. My eyes.are little watery. Just allergies. This song helps me to sleep. I love it. I hope I hang in there. It gives me butterflies in my stomach❤😂 💋😘. My dad played thisssss toooo
Aaaa...This brings back memories..Good ones. I remember hearing this a lot growing up. One of my mom's favorite songs. I love this song. But now this song hits differently (Idk if in a good way or not) with her recent passing. I'm still going to jam this song in memory of you.
I'm so sorry about your Mom's passing. 😥 Songs really hold so much within them - memories, feelings. Try to remember how much she loved this and your happy memories. Big hugs! 💜🤗🙏🌌💜
This song came to mind. A woman i saw a future with, said "this is everything ive ever wanted, but it doesn't look how i imagined" and that was it. It still hurts. No answers
to that man, I'm hoping to hold my hands, and now it's impossible because he chooses to be alone, but it's fine whatever makes him happy, makes me happy too!
Btw I only accidentally clicked on this song and just decided to play it because it has been such a long time since I have heard this song. The lyrics kinda resonates with my situation though lol.
I remember singing this when it came out the summer I was 14, hoping to one day relate to this. I’m 30 now, 8 months pregnant with my fiancé’s baby, and couldn’t be happier. We’re best friends, and he truly feels like the long-lost playmate I’ve always been looking for ❤
That's actually the point... I think? I'm prettty sure that line is meant to be at least somewhat sarcastic... As if it's meant to be a criticism of that saying... because let's be real: Most of us will cry at some point regardless of how "big and strong" we are. (Then again, this could just be my Autism tricking me into misinterpeting a complex meaning again... So, that's entirely possible as well.)

2:53 Reminds me of the 2000s Disney theme song
Her daddy gave her her first pony
Then told her to ride
She climbed high in that saddle
Fell I don't know how many times
He taught her a lesson that she learned
Maybe a little too well
Cowgirls don't cry, ride, baby, ride
Lessons in life are gonna show you in time
Soon enough you gonna know why
It's gonna hurt every now and then
If you fall get back on again
Cowgirls don't cry
She grew up, she got married
Never was quite right
She wanted a house, a home and babies
He started comin' home late at night
She didn't let him see it break her heart
She didn't let him see her fall apart
'Cause cowgirls don't cry, ride, baby, ride
Lessons in life are gonna show you in time
Soon enough you're gonna know why
It's gonna hurt every now and then
If you fall get back on again
Cowgirls don't cry
Phone rang early one mornin'
Her momma's voice, she'd been cryin'
Said it's your daddy, you need to come home
This is it, I think he's dyin'
She laid the phone down by his head
Last words that he said
Cowgirl don't cry, ride, baby, ride
Lessons in life show us all in time
Too soon God will let you know why
If you fall get right back on
The Good Lord calls everybody home
Cowgirl don't cry
