She also said Prince Harry could “temporarily” return to royal duties, but that it would be difficult due to the royal rift between him and Prince William.

Sorry, no hope at all that Harry can come back, neither temporarily. The King, Buckingham Palace, and Kensington Palace made it very clear. Harry has to respect the Sandringham Summit and Queen Elizabeth's decisions. Plus, nobody wants him back.

However, your "right" to have a Republic within the boundaries of the USA does not give America the God-given right to impose it's own political system by war, political subterfuge, conspiracy or any other nefarious means on other Nations, like many (South American Nations) by CIA action, Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya or a host of other Countries. If the Commonwealth Realms are of the opinion they wish to remain as Constitutional Monarchies then the US would be well advised to "butt-out" and leave these Nations to decide their own political future for themselves. I would have thought that any foreign Nation casting a glance at the current state of the US across a number of World measurement parameters, criteria or social cohesion factors, would not give them any sense of wanting to follow you along the path that the US political system has given to the vast majority of your citizens.
One could say (the American), "people deserve the political system they deserve", as a very famous French philosopher said centuries ago.

My guess is Kate had a hysterectomy which requires a good amount of recovery and at least a week in hospital, unless there were complications which would be a little longer.
I agree with you ,I have a friend who had a hysterectomy, and she had to rest for a month
I had one and i was only in the hospitak over night and came home. I was up walking and cooking the mext day. They cut 3 little places now days.
My mother-in-law recently had one and was in for over a week with 8 weeks recovery. It really depends on each case, not all are the same, esp if she had complications or things like endometriosis to get off also. @@stephanielong2674

Kate could have a oophorectomy. My girl friend had that. She was in pain first like period cramps. Then Dr found she had a lots is cysts within her ovaries. Dr said it was a miracle she even could even get pregnant and have two healthy children without ever knowing this condition. It was recommended to remove them since she already has two middle school children. It’s like a full on c-section. She stayed in the hospital (USA) for about a week, then a month recovery time at home. It’s painful.
