This nice radio has an incredible secret, you can listen VHF and UHF, including air band. Try this: first choose a OM frequency, for example 1225 KHz, press and hold REC (you must have a memory card inserted), when it start recording press FM / AM and MODE keys. That's all, now it tunes 122.50 MHz. It works by tuning SW as well, the frequency in KHz goes to VHF or UHF. Enjoy!
That is so cool to know! I had no idea. Thank you so much the info. Do they even explain this in the instruction manual or did you figure it out on your own? So excited you shared this!
The screen on my unit has gone blank. It lights up, but no textual info shows. It's too good to toss out, but too hard to use without the screen working and telling where you are with freqs and mp3 playbacks. If anyone knows a hack for jolting the screen back into functioning, post it here. ...greatly appreciate any suggestions....
Would have been extra good if it had Bluetooth but, should be able to record using the Aux in jack and a 3.5mm patch cord, from a device that can attach that way. I haven't gotten the radio yet but am trying to choose between it and an XHData 318bt that does have BT but only FM (no AM or SW). The XHData has an Aux jack, headphone jack, and ability to record.
I wonder....if a user can record directly off of Bluetooth. If so,this is the one for me, until the next upcoming revolution in new technology begins...hint:(a boom box w/iheart radio built in to )to tide us over.
Woah, that is the best example of audio I've been able to find. Thanks for the review. XD
