Wouldn't it make sense to build the houses at the back of the map, but with 4-10 tiles of spaces for trade? This way the trade is protected. You don't really have to move any unit past this wall anyway

yeah i came to say this, his comp shouldve been camel, skorp, bbc... turks has nothing to counter, camels run in among the enemy bbc to kill them then your bbc kill any janissary that group up. as well as turk has no halb to counter camel and ethiopian camel with royal heirs takes 3 less damage from turk camel
You can always go for the wonder victory to force him to cut the trees to get you. Also, you should build a house wall for your trade carts. That makes the houses far back in your base and protecting future trade carts
And here I thought he picked my (almost) 2 hour michi game from his server and casted it because it was so much fun cycling through all the different units in the game sustaining everything with a nice trade route in the back.
On AOE3 I wish we had bans and map favorite in AOE3 ranked games, so be glad for what you have. At least you know what's in the map pool. You also are able to select your civ after the map is picked. You're also able to change the color of your civ. All things AOE2 has that I long for AOE3 to have
I remembered when you needed siege onagers back in the day to cut down trees and still thought that when I started playing again recently 11. Everyone had 200 villager pop back in the day and half the players couldnt' cut the trees so were just waiting on that one guy that could.
As someone who can only play 1-2 games on weekends, the lack of bans is the only reason i don't play this game anymore. If my full time job was aoe2 I'd probably want more variety too. Just a thought

He was the king of chaos a few years ago untll they forced him to build walls in Arabia.......and now at last.......he wins a single game at the RED BULL finals with "building a wall"..HAAAAAAAAAAAA I guess he did not forget how frustrating that was......so he did it to HERA

At least mix them in to snipe bombards while shotels or siege get in a bit closer before being destroyed by jans. 204k resources collected and didn't even try camels, just made nearly 1000 shotels that did almost nothing. Oh not to mention camel counters the cav from turks soooo there's basically no reason he shouldn't have at least TRIED it. But I'm convinced it's way better than shotels.
Well ye .. When you play michi 1,5 hours to die to mongols just to see at the end that your opponent had 45k gold and then you realize that there are neutral markets. Idk if that was fun or sad but after that experience I had a new permaban. 😂
I am a Michi specialist (bad at other maps but much better at Michi). Manco is clearly not a Michi expert, you are supposed to use the scout to lure the boar, hope he at least know about the markets.

I want to get into rank/playing online but I started off with 1000 elo for some reason I've only played about 4 games online and just get wiped and it makes me not want to play the game when I'm forced to play against people way better than me
I played my only game of Michi in ranked as the Turks thinking I could own my opponent with bombard cannons with artillery tech before they could cut through the tree line. Realized Turks don't get onager. :(
its so nice to see 2 players attacking each other in imperial age, not just early feudal age aggression with scouts and archers no matter what civ! That is so boring by now!
This is so annoying to watch 😅 As a michi veteran I can tell you if Jon slow would make a huge opening (not a small choke point), make the amazing ethiopian camels, make huge amount of rams - which destroy gates walls and bombard cannons up close, some scorpions and some siege onagers, 0 shotels which are absolutely useless vs turks, he could have destroyed him in 1 attack. Turks dont have answer to that on Michi.. 20 rams, 25 camels, add more of other stuff to cover it, WIDE opening, buy 300 stone and wall behind to make sure red cant raid, build houses as wall for trade to have 2nd protection for trade, build military buildings behind with gates to protect trade, and making more military buildings in the wide "choke" you can easily make with ethi. s.o. as you push forward. Another important thing - he should cut on the very right or left side and get to the corner to stop the trade asap. Red would die to that defense/offense combo. All jonslow should have done is prepare this and THEN attack. I am a noob on open maps and this proves pros are noobs on closed maps. They dont have the experience with unlimited gold and the massed siege deathball. He kept the choke point so small as if he wanted red to be in an advantage and kept sending shotels vs jannisaries, come on aaaaaw. Just so hard to watch haha. Go full siege/camels, open it wide, win. Easy
For 1v1 3bans are enough but 2v2 only 2bans really bad.. need more and also that ☆dont do nothing ..😂.. iff you only have time for 1-2 games its annoying as f to not get your fav map.. think you should get your ☆ map first game of the day (login)..

You wanna talk about why the elo system in this game is complete garbage its because of this. 2 players sitting on 10k gold and spamming units at each other. How does this translate to any other map or situation in this game?

What really was missing were scorpions + BBC, as well as skirms+halbs, that would've done it against reds combo.

JonSlow should have used his initial cut through with one entry point from his base and split into two cuts into Red's base.
