Such a great way to learn how to do ombré. She did a fantastic job and I loved how you explained it to her and us so that we could understand it better. The shape and length were perfect. Absolutely loved watching this video. Gave me such great insight on what I’ve been doing wrong. Thank you again ladies. 😍😍😍
Suzie can you show us how to do the pink/white French ombré with gel polish on a natural nail? I use gel on my natural nails since they’re pretty long instead of using a hybrid gel/any kind of enhancement. Just show how to do it with gel polish instead of building it out with the colors 💖
I have been doing my own nails for 6 years and have had extensions since 2012. I was taught by an educator and youtube, so I know all the cautions etc, and have never had an allergy to any product, last month I did my nails, and the next day my fingers and thumbs were covered in dermatitis, I couldn't figure it out because the only thing that gets on my finger and thumbs is the dust, I applied a cortisone topical cream, the dermatitis went away, and a few days ago I had to fix 2 nails and guess what happened, where ever the dust was, that's where the dermatitis is, so I'll be digging out my dust extractor now.... Great job for your non dominant hand! and a great teaching video as well.
So if you are using Gel or Hybrid gel make sure your lamp is curing it correctly cause you could be reacting cause over time you’ve been exposed to uncured gel. If it’s acrylic make sure your liquid to powder ratio is correct. And remember one can consume strawberries for half their life then become allergic doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with strawberries, just means your body is opposed to it.
So my order from Suzie just arrived, and I can honestly say, im absolutely blown away by the quality of this hybrid gel. I cannot wait for you to come out with more colours. The texture of this gel is so easy to work with, I wasn't sure if I'd like the pots, but now I'm obsessed! Susie's pink is PERFECT and will work on any skin tone. I'm pleasantly surprised on the quality of Susie's hybrid gel. Thank you Susie for taking the time and effort to make the best quality products to sell, not only to professionals but to DIYer's alike.
Hello from South Africa! Thank you for this beautiful tutorial Suzie, I've been too scared to try ombre on myself in fear that it will look like crap 😅 but after watching this video I'm going to try!
How clever is she I'd love to be able to ombre well done Suzie...also when I see this lady she reminds me of Melody Thomas Scott...thankyou for sharing xo 💜💅💜
Suzie I absolutely love this video! Like Katie I started doing my own nails during the beginning of Covid. I’m a single mom so anywhere I can save money is a huge benefit. I have slowly acquired some of your products to help me create lasting nails. So far I have your efile, acrylic brush and file set and forms. I cannot wait to get the hybrid gels, acrylic powders and monomers! These videos showing trouble shooting are perfect and so easy to understand and follow. Thank you!
Woot woot!!! LOVE this!!! I taught myself cake decorating and I too taught myself nails to get that salon look without the salon prices. GOOD nails cost GOOD money. Same as tattoos! Lol. If you're on Insta tag me in your latest set!
I'd love to see a video about common things the can go wrong when doing clients for new nail techs and things that could be done. For example the client bumping their nails on the lamp.(and curing it) Do you remove it and start again or do you try to patch it up? I've been thinking about becoming a nail tech and the thought of something going wrong and me not knowing what to do is daunting.
Great Idea If that happens that a client bumps the gel is going in as soon as you discover the better. If you discover it within a few seconds you might be able to take it out however not likely. Unfortunately when this happens Gel is not very forgiving, you need to take it off and reapply the whole thing again
Love the pot hybrid gel, it's the best idea ever! For those who still have tube form polygel, I just cut the tub open and scrape off the product from there. Thats what I do :) Still can take a few nails done!
I love how Susie teaches like I wish she was close to me I’d be in her class cuz I love doing my own acrylics another beginning I messed up a lot and every single time I did my nails I had my phone propped up with her videos going and it was rewind I’ll watch again pause numerous times and I’ve been doing my near my nails for about a year and I’ve honestly been because of Susie I have came so far they look so good now
Great video and info!!! The angle of the brush around the cuticle and in general is great to know. It's great to see someone doing nails. That doesnt have a lot time under their belt. She did an amazing job it was gorgeous.😍 Love that style of nail no matter the shape. It goes with anything you wear. Thank you for all you do it really helps me and other's I'm sure. 💗💗💗🤗
My very first thought 10 seconds in… they gotta be related! They laugh the same and similar voice ! But excited for this! Have Hawaii trip next week and this is my most favorite nail look!
OMG! Now I know why I adore you soooooo much Susi!❤ We are both Geminis! Im a May 30th baby.😄 Katie is also my nieces name😊Katie, you did a phenomenal job. You are so adorable too! 😁 I'd love to see another video with both of you again, you work so well together.💕
Omg I genuinely loved watching @Susie teach her this look..just seemed so natural and flawless ..SUSIE YOURE AMAZING..and the both of you together are for sure nail besties❤❤❤
A bit unrelated to this video - I just want to say thank you for these videos. I'm not big into nails (I keep mine natural with gel polish that I do myself). I've had some challenges that you've covered in other videos. I'm new to your channel so I didn't realize you had your own products (wish I'd figured that out before buying) but because of your teachings I picked up a few things and in one sitting made game-changing nail changes. I am now using gel polish brush and applying three thinner coats (I could never them thin enough and had wrinkles or just thick polish), better cuticles and longer lasting mani-pedis. Thank you for all that you are sharing. Even someone who is a novice and really doesn't want to invest to make it a career or even a hobby (but still wants nice nails) can make improvements by applying your techniques and learning from you. Thank you!
Oh boy, this vid and the one before it (the greenies) were so awesome! CONGRATS to Katie and huge props to her, too, for doing this vid with her NON-dominant hand! Good job, girl! And Suzie, thanks for being such a great teacher. I have enjoyed doing my own nails (gel polish and then hybrid gel) for the last few years, and you were both my inspiration and my guide. Unfortunately, I damaged my nails with a bad e-file (too much vibration!) - but with patience and some TLC, they are almost back to good again. I am looking forward to trying this technique early in the new year. Until then, it is regular polish or no polish for me - but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy your videos still! LOL Blessings!
I would do them no different. The trick is just making the form fit other than that everything else is the same. Beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes, we work with what we have. They may not be the same as the other fingers but that’s OK they are just being themselves. ❤️
I am very thankful for this video. WTG Katie. I will try to attempt this myself. Is it possible for making an ombré Hybrid gel using the pop off forms successfully?
It looks like she got a little content creator education as well. Lol. Such a fun video. You're such a great teacher, Suzie! I love doing an ombre with polygel. I need to get yours soon!
Susie it’s ok I found your video using gel instead of hybrid gel. I know now I made the same mistake and did pink first and then white so am excited to play with this technique doing it your way with regular gel products. Thanks so much for your gentle tutelage I learn so much ♥️
I really enjoyed this video and have learned so much from you! As a learning enthuiast, can you help with some tips with e-filing with your non dominant hand?
Slow and steady. Brace your wrists and also brace your fingers however is most comfortable for your body. Suzie taught me to turn the drill down on a lower setting and TAKE MY TIME with my opposite hand. So set aside time to move slowly, and methodically. Once you've found how to brace yourself you will get faster over time. There are also settings on the drill for the bit to spin clockwise or counterclockwise. I change direction with each hand to whatever is easiest for me in that moment. Hope that helps! Best of luck. Tag us on Insta!

Love your videos! But help, my filing sucks! I can't get nice crisp lines....e file or manual... I also get lost with what type of drill bit to use for what and what grit and.. filing is hard 😩
Filing IS hard! Don't beat yourself up, it takes practice. Best advice Suzie gave me is to file at a lower speed for longer time to really get the hang of the ANGLES. Slow, methodically you'll learn how to speed it up later. To take off product I use her safety bit with the Tungsten steel, it's got deep groves to take off lots of product. On the natural nail use a fine grit. As a general rule start out with heavier grit and then work up to a fine grit. Go slow. WAAAAY slower than you think. Really pay attention to the angle of the bit or hand file, see how you're pressing it to the nail and how/where it is removing product. Trial and error and PATIENCE. You've got this friend!
This was a great tutorial! Now I know how to ombré. But what I would like to know is, does it work the same way with acrylic? Can you make a video of doing ombré with acrylic Suzie?
So funny I was watching her and seeing everything she was...and like she was reading my mind she started fixing it like I would and when she said she was a Virgo ♍ I about died lol feeling a little called out 😅 .. lol 💕
Hi Suzie from Wyoming, I just bought your EZ gel kit. Love it! It’s so great that everything you need is in the package. I actually took it with me and did my nails on the go. I have a question, I did my nails and put reveal on. Days later I decided I wasn’t happy with the shape and filed on them. If I want to add more gel do I need to apply bridge again between the gel already on and any new? Please make a clear gel
Oh great question. No you don’t have to use reveal in between the fake nail and the topcoat. Topcoats add here pretty good to fake nails. I would use it only if you are going to use a gel polish with color, however I have also found very good results in these items it hearing together without BRIDE in between. The BRIDGE is really most effective between the NATURAL nail and the product
Can u decorate the underside of yr to make it look pretty like the top of the nail do know of anybody in yr Career that decorate both underneath and on top 😊

I just bought your EZ gel kit.
