      It is not something that male children escape, in fact foir every girl there are more than six boys who undergo GM. As long as boys are ignored the status quo will be upheld to the detriment of girls as well as boys.

    Female clrcumclslon is such a painful and infuriating topic. It is not religious or scientific, it's abuse, violence, force, patriarchal, misogynistic, objectification and social control of females and their sexuality.
    To think this is still happening with many parents taking their kids from the West where it's prohibited to countries where it is not.

      It is a religious practice. Majority who does it are Muslims. You’ll find it in the Hadiths. Where the prophet Muhammad gets asked about it and he says, if you have to do it don’t cut too deep. Islam doesnt as far as I know tell Muslims to do it to girls, but it doesn’t also forbid it. Thy follow the prophet and if he allows it, thy will follow it. There is also this part that is called the sunnah cutting wish in islam the sunnah is following what Muhammad said and did. His way of life.

    Excision, that's what she went through. A very bad practice in some countries in Africa. It is ruining many women lives in the continent. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
    Most victims of that dangerous and silly practice remain traumatised and sometimes forever infertile due to severe bleedings and lesions in their genital.

    • @fritnat
      @fritnat ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a barbaric practice in all its forms which is performed and condoned in one form or another all over the world. The fight against it is undermined however when the popular but false narrative is pushed as you do here. Most victims have been successfully socially conditioned to feel fine about it. If most female victims were infertile then they would hardly belong to some of the most baby producing communities on the planet! Severe bleedings and lesions are not generally the cause of female infertility, infections which spread are.

      @@fritnat Of course the circumcision of baby boys, often only a few days old, is absolutely wrong and awful...I was livid, when the parliament in my home country approved of this medieval practice...in general it's unbelievable how people are so obsessed with their religious beliefs that they don't care about a child's health...but still you have to acknowledge that the practice on girls is way more brutal

    • @fritnat
      @fritnat ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tamarakorb So you are claiming that the "circumcision of baby boys" is way less brutal than "the practice on girls". By the "practice on girls" I take it you mean "FGM". The widely used definition of FGM comes from WHO and is any non medical injury to the female gen... WHO defines male circumcision as the removal of the male 4skin. So your claim then becomes the removal of the 4skin of baby boys is way less brutal than any non medical injury to the female gen.. Are you serious?

      @Somali Womxn but I don't consider this modification. This is extreme patriarchy where they have control of their women's bodies and minds.
      From the stories i've heard in my community, it was carried out much older women. Almost like a co-sign to show that it's a necessary right of passage for girls.
      As Ayan has said, in her community it's to preserve virginity. I've heard others add to that and say it keeps women in check coz it kills sex drive. She will not stray. The clitoris is like a penis, so they remove it😭😭 Can you imagine?

      And so that you know its malicious, male circumcision is a ceremony and it's celebrated. The way men are cut to this day globally is the same way they were cut in the traditional African society.
      But girls are usually whisked away in the night and held by other people because they know how brutal it Is. Cut using the same razor blade..its Heartbreaking stuff.

      Your delusional thinking it’s the same thing. Both are wrong imo but female is much more dangerous, much more damaging, higher change of miscarriages, damage to nerve endings, etc while the male is Sam ge to nerve endings but still able to have sensation and feel pleasure, no issue with having children or pain. Both are wrong but you have to stop comparing. Btw I’m in the healthcare field so I have first hand knowledge on this.

      @@Rooooxy If you think female is much more dangerous then show me cases where dozens of girls have died at a time. Show me where short of death, girls have lost their vag. as boys have lost their peen. Give examples of girls losing their life after undergoing this in modern health facilities. Where is your evidence of increased risk of miscarriage? Males invariably lose thousands of nerve endings, females typically very few. Male and female usually do not lose the capacity to feel pleasure. How is it no issue with having childrfen if you have lost ypur peen? Even when girls have undergone the most severe form, they generally have no problem having children, in fact they have some of the highest rates! Being in the healthcare field is absolutely no reason for you to have first hand knowledge. I have first hand knowledge too.
