I've played games with lots of grinding, like Path of Exile, and always enjoyed farming. However, in AQW, the farming was so boring that I ended up using bots to do everything.
why do you bot if u consider farming boring? What makes it boring:? Is it the gameplay? Then why do you keep playing the game? Just to stay AFK playing dress up and show off to your teammates?
@@Gobna97 youre just salty bro lmao, farming in most mmorpgs involve having interactions with the game, not just mashing 4 buttons for HOURS. You must be braindead to actually defend how stupid AQW farming is lmao.
As an MMO and ARPG veteran, I don't think the issue is that botters "just want stuff with no effort". Sure, there'll always be people who want stuff without putting in the effort, but to me, the problem in AQW is the fundamental design. Imagine this: You're a new player who wants to try out AQW. What's one of the first things you'll get told? "Get another class". Even after the recent buffs, you'll struggle with the base classes fairly early on. Why? Because the game is horribly balanced. Enemy level means virtually nothing, as a level 16 Warrior can solo a level 65 "boss" because AE decided to give it 11k HP but get his ass kicked by a level 25 regular mob because AE decided to give it 24k HP and hit like a truck. There's no consistency. Now mix in the gameplay or lack thereof. The questdesign in this game is simply horrendous. 98% of all quests are either "Kill X mob", "Click on arrow on screen/Go to a specific scene" or "Talk to NPC". That's it. And the only difference is the visuals. It doesn't matter if you're killing 10 skeletons 10 slimes or 10 shadow monsters. It's the same gameplay. It doesn't matter if you're clicking an arrow because you're checking under a rock, unlocking locks, or setting up lightning rods. It's the same gameplay. Doesn't matter if the NPC is Artix or Aranx. It's the same gameplay. And it doesn't help that a majority of the quests are repeats. "Killed 10 wolves? Good, now find this NPC then kill 5 more wolves. You killed 5 more wolves? Good, now report back to the first NPC who'll ask you to find 7 Wolf Teeth. Guess what monster drops those." So, we've established that the game is horribly balanced (especially if you're a new player) and that the gameplay loop is extremely repetitive with little to no variation. Now dial that up to 11. AQW is more like an Asian MMO in terms of grinding than a Western MMO. And guess what Asian MMOs are known for: Their botting/automation scene. So they have literally designed the game to be a slug and a grind with the most mindless content in almost any MMO, yet they're surprised that people bot? I actually wonder how many of the devs actually play their own game. I think it should be a requirement that before adding a boring grind, all the devs need to do it first and be able to call it fun. If you told a dev to make a new account and get NSOD or BLOD or some of the grinding classes, do you think they'd say "Sure, that sounds like fun!" or would that say "That is too much work for something that'll just make the game feel slightly easier but ultimately be the same"
3:30 I don't bot but I use macro while I do work. It's not about "satisfaction of having the class", it's actually playing the class that's satisfying. I have two jobs. I'm busy irl, and have people to take care of. But AQ Worlds is a game I played in 2008. I felt like I had to "complete" it to satisfy my childhood memories. Learning real life skills, networking with real people and doubling my income in a year is satisfying. Grinding hours for a class in a casual MMO is not. The fun in this game is the endgame, because that's when you have everything genuinely fun. Forge enhancements, endgame classes, damage items, scrolls and potions all make the game very fun. If I didn't macro, getting to endgame would take me months to a year. Because otherwise I would have to give up a large portion of my time to farm them all in a month or two. I have places to go, and work to do. There's zero value in AQ Worlds trying to be my third job. That's why I macro and farm all the bullshit. Then I play the game afterwards.
@@franciscosottomayor3623 Usually yes. But AE knows if they banned people for that they would make no money and loose player base like crazy. Ive macroed my 1-5 with corsair Icue on my keyboard for a few years and never got banned. Just be discreet about it and use private rooms and turn off your /goto in settings and dont stay on for like 40 hours. I usually macro when im at or near my computer, but instead im doing school, homework, reading and so on. Forge enhancements are such a big endgame thing now and they require so much of all these other end game items and when more end game stuff gets added its probably going to be optimized assuming you have some forge stuff. (Not necessary but you know way more comfortable i guess is how you can put it.) I like this game, but my life is important. Im not going to throw away majority of my life just pressing 1-5 on a 24 fps flash game. And honestly, macroing makes the game funner for me. Its nice knowing theres a game where you can put it in the background and do something else. I really think AE needs to think about an auto skill button. I mean the hard farms years and years ago are now nothing compared to now. And its possible the stuff we have now will be nothing compared to the future. I mean cmon the amount of times where i was farming a mob not for an endgame farm but for new drops added and it took me 2 hours to get all of the drops…. Be for real you think the devs would do that themselves? No because they have a job and have other priorities in life. Majority of the playerbase is growing up and will soon if not yet have jobs too. If you want to set up a macro, for example i use ICue on my corsair keyboard (could use mouse too i think) press record and go to /join classhall and attack the dummy there for a few minutes pressing your keys then stop it put it to toggle and repeat 999 times. I had problems with logitechs software but from what i can recall i think razer was decent. Just anything that can press you keys for you with time delays. If you know how to code script on autohotkey im sure that works as well but thats way more complicated i couldnt tell you on that. Or you could get a bot client but Im not gonna trust them personally. Last one i trusted was cetera from 133spider because he was a very talented and respectful scripter. But it doesnt work anymore because he joined AE because they realized how much skill he has.
@franciscosottomayor3623 been botting the fuck out of my main account since 2013. Lived through different eras of bot clients: Dark Mystic, Le Bot, Grimoire, and now Skua. No signs of having gotten banned whatsoever. Not even a temporary one.
You mean the ultra merges where it needs you to collect tons of stuff from different maps against tough non ultra mobs (example malgor armor to rgow) together with the weekly grind
Idk bruh, it's just so much easier to get end game classes w botting the classic way, rather than w the weekly ultra merge, I just started playin again since Adobe flash went down, and I didn't know abt the ultra bosses until literally today, when I was farming for the final legion tokens I needed to get all of legion rev, most of the lobby was obviously botting, I only found out abt the ultras cuz sum guy asked why I was still there after 3 hours of farming shogun pet tokens, and I told him I needed 40k to get legion rev, and then he told me that I could save my tokens and defeat ultra dage one time and have rev rn
even with ultras, botters are able to create an army of accounts which helps the main account. with sheer skills in coding and using past bots programs. its easy to manipulate for other quests. at the end of the day, its just a game and this is how they enjoy it
I used to bot a while ago, but i always did the ultras and dailies myself, storylines aswell, its more fun that way, just botted the longlong 5000 kill enemy grinds, it was pretty satisfying
exactly why i wanna bot, especially because of NSOD, I didn't mind the first like 2-3 parts of Seppy's armor questline but quickly afterwards it became absurd once I crunched the numbers. I don't mind farming or grinding but there's a point where it becomes too absurd.
AQW has one of the hardest grinds in all the games I played, its legit insanity, to me the grind experience is so tough that you realize how little progress you make. It does not feel you are progressing with how much shit you need. So huge respect to the players playing this game since I have been playing this game since I was 9 and its even harder today.
I've just done farming for ArchFiend class without botting and god damn it took so long but I'm really happy I didn't use a botting app. It makes the rewards actually relevant.
ive used bot. cant deny it. I'm a 30 yr old who is busy with work and life. and I enjoy playing AQ because of lore. reason why i bot is having this mindless farm and tedious task. (except for some) i just dont care. If i wanted the class and I dont have time. bot is my solution.
I'm somewhat guilty with this using bot, but I'm not those "mindless botters" just leave their game playing and become level 100 coming back, I only use bots just to use skills, because my hands and fingers get tired doing the same action over and over, same with my mental and multi-task self, I have other things to do, but farming LR quest then the requirement of the quest are 500 of each drop, *cough cough* Conquered. I still love the game, I only use bots for those quest that required large amount of drops or 1% drop. -TLDR, the addition of Ultra boss is the reason why I started replay this game and farm endgame boss just to beat it
im somewhat i agree with your stance and i am guilty of botting for some stuff, but i think the biggest problem is the questlines to get some of these so called good classes are way too insane in a way that it just becomes so incredibly inhuman to grind these out legitimately. In my case I stopped playing in like 2015 or so where the max level for non mems was 55 and I came back maybe a 3 weeks ago and I grinded up to level 86 and just got yami no ronin today because I dont have any endgame classes. Yami no ronin's quest IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE LEGION requires 17500 LTs, which if you dont have one of the paragon pets or missed out on, you dont have a good way to farm it, and even if you got one it is 1000-2000 acs and if you have an older one like me the quest is to farm an enemy for a drop that is not a guaranteed drop 20 times for 50 LTs each time. That is way too much to farm for someone even if they are part of the legion to do in a timely fashion, on top of that you have to go and kill 444 enemies on the map 10 times which is 44000 enemies you have to kill and then have rank 10 yokai(not to bad) and then go to farm a completely separate 888 scales from a high hp enemy and then go spend 15 million gold on tickets in dages shop and kill raxgore a super high hp enemy that deals a lot of damage, is at the end of a super long dungeon, and can lock your skills and counters for massive damage at certain points so you are forced to stop attacking him. Also you have to then go and fight another boss that deals 10k damage on average to 30k damage on crit to get another drop that isnt guaranteed to drop as well. No part of this grind for this class is easy I get it, because it is an endgame good class, but at the same token, I really cant blame anyone for botting for this class as the grind is way too tedious to try and do in a timely manner without botting and thats only if your a member of the legion, if your not the grind is even more tedious. Even to do the ultra bosses to get stuff like legion rev and vhl and chaos avenger which are good classes to use for ultras, you need to farm ultra bosses, and in order to do so you need classes like arch paladin which is also a giant grind or lord of order which you have to do dailies to get. I feel like at that point AE is really just pushing people to bot and I cant blame them if they do
@@Murasanehonestly i've never farm any legion class/item when its not double event , the horse quest in arena was pretty good in double event its about 240lt/2-3min , im using autoclicker because im always skeptical on macro to be some short of malware but yea for non-macro user some class like DoT or VDK who didnt have any shortcut via ultraboss was super boring and time consuming with the repeated action , when i was farming DoT i was somekind of wondering why i do this even tho im using autoclicker it still a very long way
@@lazysean5418 it's exactly my point the game is way too much of a chore to get the good classes and then they made ultra bosses as a shortcut to get those good classes but then you need those good classes to do those ultras so it's just counter intuitive
i have 140+ badges, almost got all epic badges, and you will never see a badge there with a stain of dirty bot. this mean I have patience ,not rushing things, even if it takes me 1 year just to get one badge. i'm a legit player. however Ae needs to chill with their hard grind quest. also that dang Malgor is hard when you're going public you see tons of "PRO" calling me noob just because idk what to do. but i am 100% they bot lmao.
I 100% agree with you and I’m also the same! I just use python script to replace my fingers clicking 4 3 2 on Archfiend to kill those tens of thousands on enemies…
Tbh, I don't blame the botters. Have you seen the grind to get a class or a SKIN? Its just insane, I have never played a game that have that much of a grind in order for you to get a piece of skin that literally provides you little to nothing. They should make the grind stuff not to a point where you need another life time. I understand the grind, I have played many games that requires lots of grind but none would compete against AQW.
cant really compare botting for a class and having a bot complete a full game for someone since aqw doesnt really have any depth to combat or anything its most of the time just mindless button presses when in other games like warthunder and stuff like that it takes skill and knowledge to be good
tbh botting won't ever die as for the argument of, "why even play the game when bots do it all for you? wheres the fun in that?" Most of those ppl are just there for the cosmetics because AQW is pretty much a glorified dress up game, which is understandable
Botting is just way more useful for the people who don’t want to do spend a lot of time Infront of the screen to play an old game they played in their childhood (guilty here) Ultras are a good addition that helps with the farming process of difficult items such as legion revenant and void highlord. However, I just did Malgor for the first time a week ago and was surprised to see how difficult it was but at the same time fun? in a challenging way(and I used to think they wouldn’t make someone as BS as ultradarkon felt when he got released). I left the game right when he got released (I only play during major releases then leave) thinking, oh well I can just bot all of these things at a later time but soon realized. A botted account(like my alts) from 4-5 years ago vs an active player’s account has a huge gap in power level (favoring actives) because these bot accounts just usually have BBOA, both would have similar classes(vhl, rev, ap, lc, sc, loo). But an active player already by now would have way better gear like DOT, CAV, Archmage, free non nsod weapons like Apotheosis, Dual apo, Emp Higure, Sin of the abyss, malgor shadowblade. And especially forge enhancements and a lot of these new content require active engagement with the game and story and you can’t entirely just bot, take a nap and wake up having the item.
not to mention daily quest incentives like the 50 void auras daily for nsod that you also cant brute force(well you could bot it, if you have multiple decent accounts)
As AQW is an MMO and Malgor is meant to be the peak ultra, at least at the moment, and with the sheer content in the game of AQW available that consists of easy bosses; drops; mindless spamming; filler quests, I think Malgor is actually pretty simple and justified in difficulty. In fact your description of it being 'too far' and 'not requiring skill' but then describing no skill as 'setting up a plan requiring: intense focus, concentration, figuiring out (trial and error), memorisation, playing your role' in an mmorpg I might add, seems like something out of a mirror realm. If this isn't your idea if skill... what is? AQW only has 4 buttons for each class, an auto attack, a potion/scroll slot and is on a 2d field, not sure what you're expecting. Comparative to other MMO, such as final fantasy 14 and their ultimate raids, the ultras in aqw are a joke in difficulty.
a lot of the farms were cut down significantly in the past 5 years or so I guess, because back then, you would grind for hours everyday for a simple ass class, which was not even an end game one. I used to bot then, I have been playing back for a while now, did not even think about botting at all since a lot of the content has been turned into fun ones instead of mindless farming.
The reason people bot is because the game makes the insane grinding feel very unrewarding and boring. Take warframe for example, that game is probably even grindier than AQW due to the amount of systems you can grind on yet the reason why so many people play it is because it is fundamentally a fun game, even the super boring long grinds make you feel, at the very least, neutral about it. Plus if you don't like grinding one system, you can do another, the game has so much variety it's insane. Furthermore, you don't have to grind EVERYTHING to finish the whole star chart or even do steel path, you can just play the game normally, grind systems that have been in the game since the beginning and eventually get to endgame, which is fashion frame. I always use warframe as an example to compare to AQW because they're surprisingly very similar, they both have time gated systems, both use the 1-2-3-4 skill system and end game is basically making your character look as cool as possible. TL:DR - The grind in AQW is boring and unrewarding, by the time you finish these long grinds like VHL or LR, what can you use the class on? Doing more long grinds for other classes that you might use? Whereas in warframe, you have tons of classes that are much easier to get, way more customizable, different systems to make your frame stronger etc. And this is just talking about FRAME, not even the actual weapons (primary, secondary and melee). You're always making progress and making your account stronger, that's not always the case with AQW.
I bot because I would feel so ashamed of myself if i spend 2 full weeks pressing the same 4 buttons in the same room over and over again just to get 1-half ugly weapon that gives me 50% more dmg. I play this game as an [item collection game]. The only gratification that I get from the game is seeing my bank full of many cool armors and weapons. Some of us are not willing to spend upwards of 14-20 hours in the same room farming a single thing. This is not a game that deserves that dedication. I can understand if it was a real game but this is a flash game dude. Anyone who's invested that much into the game is an absolute loser. Go get a job
Its pretty good tbh, I have an little army of 4 Alts who are lvl 90. I checked out your video for Legion reventan but just to see if it had dailies. I can confirm that botting is still good. Most people dont use Grim anymore but Skua, since on Skua you dont need to find a bot for it, its already implemented. Im botting since I dont have time to spend on that game anymore as I did. Oh and btw you can do Ultras with botting, but you need alts
If you don't have time then don't farm the items. What's the point of logging in once a month and already have every item in the game in 4 different accounts? 💀
@@RicochetAQW most people i see the alt by buying the account on facebook group, which they sold all endgame item on cheap price, especially on Philippines aqw account group, literally sold VHL and LR on cheap price since US dollar more value than Philippines peso
Quest that need you to kill 1000+ enemies? Bot it. reputation farm that needs you to complete a quest hundreds of times? Bot it. A boss that requires teamwork? Now I can play the game.
After joining the game 3 months ago I started farming DoT then void high lord. (after going thru story getting classes like vamp lord and cryo). I thought the grind couldnt get worse than those two plus 1% drops until I saw the blod and lr quest on this channel and my mind went blank. I was trying not to bot but at that moment I gave in. Edit: From a new player perspective all of this is a lot, probably too much. From a veteran perspective they have already been conditioned by this game so what may look like too much to one person looks looks easy to them because they're familar with the game's grind.
Ultras and Dailys are not fun for people like me who don't have much time, I'm sure it makes botting harder but it also makes the quests less fun/achieveable for me as it was easier to mindlessly spam or do linear questing... hopefully they'll find a balance.
Ultras only cost around 5-15 mins of lobbying and social interaction to complete, even less with some of the older ultra bosses. At worst you only need to do this once a day and most of the time you dont need to pay attention to ultras at all until the weekly reset happens. You point in not having much time compared to grinding hours for stacks of resources is moot.
@@consumerjtc5835 my experience is I tried twice on different days for the first ultra, 20 mins both times, could not get a team to beat it and there was never a room with a coherent team. Yeah I'm sure many do it and with the right guilds its even easier but I'm not active enough to be in a guild and I wont spend that much time solo to MAYBE find a team, not fun. I personally dont like dailies and especially dailies that require a team & coordination on hard bosses. I despiiise IRL time capped things in a game. Grinding or just doing linear farming/questing is very easy to multi task and satisfying when I can fully focus on it. But when I do focus I dont want to have to wait to find the right team, or wait for the next day to progress. To be clear I love the game and this is just my experience with these two things in particular, not the definitive opinion on the subject.
Sometimes, I really wish I could see classes have their own room to rank up with special animation effects and their own mini storyline or some sorts to make ranking up “slower” but also more entertaining. The quest line for Archmage is a fun example, though it may involve ALOT of different rooms and pre-existing quest lines to finish, a class like TimeKeeper could begin his storyline in some locked dungeon and slowly learn his skills until reaching the end, where the player must learn a certain combo to solo a boss (but must be beatable ofc, like giving a free mastery tonic on dungeon stage 10). I always want to see stuff like that because it’s better than just buying a simple class imo or just by simply finding the necessary ingredients to get a class. As a result, this may reduce the bot count by making each class more fun to rank up/get instead of just mindless ranking up inside the ice storm arena for about 20-60 minutes so we have a "better" stronger class. Another really good example I thought you could have is something like Legion Revenant requiring the same similar unique room thing in /darkally , but instead it’s a mini cutscene for dage to battle-train you like you learn certain skills in hollowknight with nailmaster sheo, similarly as you use your legion revenant skills to attack dage (class as temporary in-room then permanent after completion). It would be so much cooler to just see dage bestow upon your ranks and do some funny sword tap shoulder-to-shoulder thing as an honorary gesture.
@@Egghead012 These extra quests don’t necessarily have to be very long. Ranking up already takes up roughly 20-60 minutes to do, but I’m not talking about making them harder. Maybe for these special rooms you can rank up faster but in the similar manner can teach you useful tricks than just farming in /icestormarena if u get what I mean. I’m the kind of guy who hates grinding a lot too but My intention wasn’t specifically pointing to the fact that I would make players grind further into “oblivion” by this, but rather have more visually pleasing effects for others to witness since Aw worlds is just another “mindless advanced cookie clicker” game in your desktop Plus, like Ricochet said, we can tackle the grind/farm problem itself by shortening the farming process. Dailies like the Lord Of Order quest line work nicely imo, but of course not everyone recommends doing it, and there’s others that follow similar patterns like Void high Lord years ago requiring a daily roentgenium per day, or Chaos Avenger where you need to wait an entire month + requiring to kill an ultra with a party, but at least aqw is trying something different with those but yeah in the end, it’s just an idea I wanted to try out to make each class feel special
I grinded the archmaster of awe and when I finally got it I got a wave of relief than satisfaction, not saying I’m gonna bot but man I understand why people do
i think the player base that bots is alot larger than 70-30 as people who bot would watch the vid once and download whereas people would tend to return to your video multiple times to remember what to do
even bots take a long time to obtain and farm items, I don't think you can call "spending 1000 hours pressing buttons and seeing numbers and the same animations on the screen" satisfying
he just made this video cause he thinks this would make people believe he didnt botted archmage class, where in fact he did botted archmage and the bot he used was from the guy he featured in this video "hans bot maker" what a pathetic btch
I never thought about using a bot but I just started grinding undead essence/energy and bone dust and this is the first time I ever thought about clickers/bots haha. Got 25 loyal orbs manually so far and knowing I need 100 total for 2 brilliant for blessed metals quest is a pain. Im hoping it gets faster after that blessed metals quest. I will tough it out but man is it tempting...maybe looking up a guide or something to see if it gets better is what I should do lol
I remember really liking DOT and CAV grinds because they are actually mostly enjoyable to do on top of being a fan of their theme. IMO Archmage grind has worse quality because it again has a lot of mindless farming though at least they got the ultra bosses being optional right. I don't think we can have botless AQW it's just so ingrained in some circles. I met someone that cannot even comprehend that I avoid botting. However, doesn't mean we can't make it an uncommon minority especially when they're supposedly overhauling even the questlines in AQ2D.
I got a challenge to level up my friend’s account in 3 days for 50$ worth of food (just for the sports) I wasn’t gonna sit there and grind his account, it’s a win win situation
As a botter we dont use GRIM anymore aside from using it on ultras for "army" ultra farm and just auto attack and simple kill turn in quest. We also watch your videos so we get a general idea on what to get to farm those items and we dont watch those grim bot scripts since theres a better client for doing that. Just so everybody knows there are no barriers that a bot cannot penetrate either be it "all" ultras ingame such as ultra speaker and ascended dungeons or grim dungeon or azalith or any boss in the game can be soloed army. So sorry for this game but its AE's fault on why we are doing this. Its just not fun anymore to mindlessly farm something that isnt worth that much time. We are already investing so much time on the game that its very hard to quit the game and i still love the game but it isnt just fun anymore aside from doing social interactions with other players.
Can you teach me what bot do you use? I really need badly an auto attack bot just because my fingers are so tried now , 2 week since ive been farming for LR and VHL since i just got back on the game for almost 7 yrs when i was away
I remember setting a goal of farming ungodly reavers back in 2011-12 and ive no idea bots existed. It took a long time especially when the guy with nulgath larvae leaves the elemental map but I felt very rewarded in the end. I see stuff like vhl and legion rev and I dont regret botting lol. Im reminded that the gameplay is basic and slow compared to any good modern games and endgame is still going to be afk and flex at yulgars-lets be real.
A lot of talks talk about botting without properly addressing the elephant in the room, the intense grind. You can gain satisfaction from doing these grinds manually but the opposite holds true if it’s too much to the point of asking yourself if it’s worth it. I’ve played a few mmo like Tera, blade and soul, spiral knight, BDO etc and I’ve not seen much botters. This is the first and only game I’ve seen with this many botters… and I don’t blame them. I don’t care and won’t report you for botting but don’t be dumb about it. There are quests out there that require ultra bosses like xyfrag for vdk. This one guy kept running at the boss while everyone else is trying to sort out taunting. Monitor your bot or you’ll look stupid and you’re just asking to get banned. Know the details of your quest before you decide to leave it unattended…
If AE want to eradicate bot they need to see the root of their problem, tedious repetitive farming, that's the main reason why bot exist in the first place. The only thing they can do is make farming somehow enjoyable or atleast not boring, it's definitely hard solution but i guess it's the only way. They need to see AQW players demographic, most of us are in the 20s, we have life and jobs to do, heck even some of us already have kids, we can't spend the same amount of time playing like when we used to be. It's not like "i hate this game, boring as hell farming" nope, we absolutely love the art style of tonnes of equipments, and since most of us have lot of childhood memories in this game, we want to play the game in a more sensible way, by using bot for example. But seriously, apart from botting problem, i hate AFK player more than Botter, if you don't want to play the game can you please leave the server for another player? atleast pick low population server, people with no membership having a hard time trying to join populated server. login -> AFK flex -> wasting 50% of server space.
I’m playing on and of and I’ve used bots for the longer grinds since at least 2015! I still do the storylines myself and buy membership and ACs from time to time! I find almost as much enjoyment in creating and coding my own bots as in playing the game legit! It’s so satisfying getting it to work and since the gameplay of this game is so outdated and boring it brings another form of fun out of it:)
I used to bot when I was younger until I lost access to the bot but I've been coming back to the game on and off recently but the most I've done is make a Marco for my basic class combos for trash mobs, thanks to AE making the grind less mindless. But yeah i see why people still bot. They bot the boring parts of aqw so they can enjoy the fun parts more. Plus AE made the grinds really long back in the day so youd be more likely to buy acs for classss instead of with rep.
When I played as a kid, I spent DAYS literally all day with the bot running, to get the blade of awe. Some of the pieces were extremely low drops like less than 1% iirc, and you had to grind Chaos lords to get them. When I came back to this game they made it so easy I got the rest of it in 20 minutes. It's insane how much easier they made it.
how to use the bot tho.. im a returnee player.. left the game around 2015 now im back.. but i got a limted time playing due to work and life.. grinding is not for me but i wna try the bot tho
As a botter myself. Even botting is boring😭 I miss the time back when i actually wanted to do storyline. Ever since the 13 lord ended it been pretty boring. Nothing but hard grind and everyone use the same thing. Plus the lag and everything due to flash. You cant even enjoy the amazing animation. Hopefully the aq infinity gave us less grind, more amazing storyline, and less lag
People Use bots because they still want to be in the Updated content of AQW even tho they have other priorities in life. Not Everyone has the luxury of time.
Started playing in 2011 and only started botting few years after because I had to open a new account after my account got hacked along with the mail somehow, so yeah, had to bot so I could even enjoy it
I first played aqw in 2009 and ever since then I'd play on & off depending on what was in during those years. I recently came back and was surprised to see all the changes, I'm loving the new additions with the additional options as well as the ultra bosses since they made the game fun to play, but the good items and classes nowadays need a ridiculous amount of repetitive grinding. I remember farming DBSK and nechromancer back in the day since it was the best and god it felt good seeing the rank 10 rep animation. Now I just don't have the time to be sitting in front of my pc grinding for nsod or what other items are worth getting, so I finally caved in and used bots. It was scary at first knowing my account might get banned, but I'd still want to play the game and get those end game farms.
what funny is we not allowed to botting, but they make the item really need hard grinding.. and many daily quest too, i have to say botting use time too not like we cheating to make the item.. i often to do manual some items or quest and after that i do botting again for high needed item quantity.
actually I dont think the vast majoity of players who bot ever check those botting videos. there's a far, far more popular botting client than grimoire, and it already has a script(s) every single questline, class, etc built in entirely. Every possible entire grind is literally 3 clicks away. It does every single step of every process you could ask for.
Botting is the only way I can enjoy this game atm. I leave the tedious grinding of void auras and nulgath totems and these kind of stuff to the bot while I'm at work then finish every ultra&friendships when I'm back home. Even like that, the game conaumes couple of hours but at least I have fun in them
My only concern with the video is that the idea of using views to determine bot player % is pretty iffy. Only because most people watch bot videos if they’re looking to bot, whereas legit and botters will watch your video for content since the bulk of aqw content sharing is either tutorials or tips, of which arent limited to a niche like botting is.
Literally the only item I botted is nsod cause i don't have sdka and I'm still halfway there, prolly if i have sdka i can farm nsod in a week even on my phone (I use puffin)
Personally, I have no problems with botting as I did the same in the past. Farming can get super boring sometimes and I think that in some situations, botting can be justified. I did so during the time when VHL's Roegentium wasn't a guaranteed drop (massive pain, to say the least). I like AE's approach to adding weekly ultra mobs, as it adds more complexity to the game for AQW's standards (and also helps farming end-game classes much easier). But from an honest perspective, there are factions in AQW where farming reputation to unlock a class, or even make slight progress towards obtaining a part required for the same class can be really.. and I mean really boring (unless you have membership, then you can just farm Swag tokens and call it a day).
while players bot for classes and whatever im over here reliving my nostalgic memory as a kid wanting to complete much of the things around aqworld and prove my kid self that i would make it happened (2009) player
They don't need to ban the botter just make it less insane fetch quest like decrease and make it easier to "RiLL estate gaymer" the number value and add some security botting system detection.. which might work, this include some stuff on Warcraft they did 4 years ago.. which quite works tbh. ☕🐴
As a former botter who is now legitimately farming, after a 3 year break of the game, the reason i was botting was because of time restraints, I had a busy school life and still wanted to participate in boss fights, and do a lot of damage for example like the other players, or have the right class in PVP. The satisfaction came from using the item not gaining it. Hope that answers that question
Also, I missed out on so many items during the Miltonius era (and old legion) because of just how grindy their stuff was, I didnt have bots then, but it definitely fueld the need in me to do so.
I get your perspective, but I still enjoy the game while botting. i even purchased 12mos membership. guess some players are just salty cuz they're too scared. lmfao
i think botting is valid and im not against it. i think the game shouldnt have any room for bots to ever become a thought, you know the farming is painful if people are trying to make bots for it! loo and ultras are a perfect example.
Not a fan of botters in public rooms especially void boss dailies but otherwise I don't mind. I tried to do ultras before but it wasn't my cup of tea, mostly because of the lag and some toxic players ruining the experience for me. I agree with what you said about LoO and ArchMage quests being better designed than previous farms, and I hope they make similar stuff in the future. VDK was kinda similar but it was necessary to do void bosses which I don't like. People are so uncooperative there
i actually done xyfrag and nerfkitten just now for vdk, i met 2 new friend, maybe it's just a bad day for you, hope you found someone in your journey mate 😁
i used to bot, and i got 3 accounts legion revenant. but i also made my own bots so i would look videos up like yours as a guide to the bots i would make. but cetera doesnt seem to work well anymore that spider left for ae so i dont bot anymore
Ultras were the worst addition to the game. Not only does it punish weak internet connection, but also forces you to search for randoms to kill it. You're also punished if your teammate messes up.
rlly good addition tbh. a little bit of difficulty doesn't hurt, just like other rpgs. it gives more thought and strategy rather than just plain brain dead farming.
i actually write some of my script for botting such as forge quest for cape. and i gotta say, writing the script itself is much more fun than mindlessly pressing number key lmao
I think there is a difference when you bot for an entire sequence of getting classes, like auto tp, auto change quest/turn in, etc. and when you just use an clicker to replace your finger. For me I just use a python script to replace my fingers clicking 4 3 2 on Archfiend to kill those tens of thousands on enemies… that’s it, it makes it fun to just do the ACTUAL quest story line!
Its a weird 50 - 50, especially given the fact that most of the playerbase should be in their working age. The correlation with increase in botting is quite rational in my opinion. Recommendations made regarding adjustment in contents that suits the existing playerbase whilst maintaining a certain amount of effort/complexity should be the path AE is pursuing
the problem is they making too much boss that needs cooperation as if their playerbase is still 20k, and that last clip of that guy botting is because no one is there to help kill it faster
Aqw has 2 problems I would love that they would solve 1- The huge (tedious) farms and mindless spamming you have to do to get a mid class or 25% xp equipment. 2- Releasing too many events They released so much maps over the years that I remember I used to feel lost when I started playing the game, and it felt really disconnected. Now I'm not lost but it still sucks that the game feels disconnected, I don't empathize with the characters at all, I just do quests for the sake of unlocking a certain item. And I bot yes, I admit it, but I only bot for huge tedious grinds, for example the obsidian paladin stuff, its really tedious and I botted that, but I didn't bot VHL because VHL is actually satisfying and a bit fun to get, although it takes alot of time. I leave the bot doing the farms I don't wanna do and I do work while they farm but the farms I really wanna do I do them... Please don't reduce the grind but make it more fun, make it where you can use various sources to get the same item or special missions, don't have people grinding the same quest more then 100 times just to get rank 10 rep somewhere. EDIT: For the events they can just make them limited and not leave the map in the game forever, maybe they can re-release them... Idk something to make them feel special, make them rare or pseudo-rare
On archmage remember to get your mana low, it's the main way of doing damage. And remember that your astral ascention heal depends on how much mana you have.
I think as long as there are grinds like legion revenant, there will be botters, and honestly I think, in that case specifically, they're justified. I know I'm far from optimal, one reason I'm after legion revenant in the first place, but when each individual quest takes me between 4 and 9 hours, and they have to be repeated 6+ times, it's a bit ridiculous, but that may just be my hot take.
People use bots because they have life, they have works, they have jobs.Would u spend 6hours free time after 8hours job killing thousands of undead ? "Wheres the fun in that?" How bout players who ioda vhl,lr,nsod etc ? Fun ? Doing the same shit over and over is fun? Botters dont bot storyline and ultra, why ? Because its fun and not repetitive If u dont want botter, just make good storyline/ultra,instead of mindlessly farming/killing shit tons of enemies just to get 1 item/class Item requirement in this game ridiculous, lower it Or change it to something like "u need to kill 10 different weeky ultras to get this class" or "u need finish blablabla's storyline to get this item, players would be more interested doing this themselves rather than using bot. This is just my 2cents,feels free to right the wrongs
I only botted because im playing the game solo since 2009. its hard to find people to party that are friends irl w/ level and class and items and pc and classes and everything. Botting helps lessen your sanity for being alone. thats all
Farming for LR before the Ultra's I wanted to bot so badly, it was just too much mindless clicking for some of the quests I didn't mind farming VHL, and I definetly didn't mind farming archmage Archmage was probably the most fun farm, did it in a few days Archmage farm had a lot of 'diversity' farming, the flibbi guy, ultras (or non options with lower %) and not needing me to kill 500 enemies in 10 different rooms I botted long ago for BLOD but ultimately ended up farming by hand years later after I got LR
Interesting video and timing, because these are the exact same things ive been thinking about past few days since i returned to the game a week ago and the content is very much upgraded n all, but the "society" of the game world is .... well dead, zombies, botting, nowhere. Back in the days you could make a ton of connections, friends, talks and fun feeling you play in a world alot of other people are playing right now thinking and enjoying the experience. Back when you were farming not just for yourself, but to flex ur sh1t infront of all ur friends and just for the strangers too. Now.. i dont feel like half the people actually know the world of aqw. That being said, i bot too now. I played for 5/7 years straight back in the days, i lost my acc and now i aint going through all these reputations or shit all over again... Not to mention legion from the beginning, cmon. Its something i have experienced and i know, only then it is kinda allowed i guess. Point is the game is a huge world, and just like in our world "farming" turns ppl into zombies and add "lifeless game" vibe....
Botters is the majority of AQW players, only new players didn't do bot, but once they start to farm endgame stuff, they eventually find out about it Thankfully they made ultra boss to prevent botters from getting anything
About the PalaChrono, can you try out hearty enhancement if you have it. Just for the lols. Since END stat give 5hp per point, the helm's 241 END alone can give you over 1,200hp.
Malgor is a bit too hard for people who don't have friends who also play AQW. But if you got some, it's one of the easier bosses, definitely easier than Drakath with randoms It is good because it encourages people to socialise, but is definitely off-limits to casual players
AQW compared to other MMOs I've played requires an iron will an patients a lot of the time I find. For instance I play classic WOW as well, there grinding for something is more like consistently farming an instance every week and eventually you will probably have what you want, plus in the mean time you got other instances and farms to go for, you get other cool gear even if it isn't the thing you want exactly and there's room for skill expression. AQW I personally find isn't very skill expressive, sure some classes need you to use more than 4 fingers and a braincell but most just work as a 4 button rotation, so there's no real want to play better so to speak. Ultra bosses were an exception and where also the time I played the most. The game is also very grindy, doing the same stupid quests over and over again is just not engaging and I say that as someone who farmed AC and BLOD legit. I feel due to this lack of engaging gameplay and fun ways to farm botting is just to be expected in some degree cause people figure out that even if they want a cool item it's not worth sitting there themselves for hours and hours. Yes it is a shortcut but it does get you the cool looking thing and that is what tends to matter more in a lot of cases.
because of dauntless i can pretty much 1 shot any boss, that means a can farm faster than botters, Archmage is too op that you can farm monsters in 2 map screens. Also because of stackable quest items it made me enjoy farming without going through other map screen many times.
I only bot for when my fingers are tired, and I only use the attack random monster on/off. The rest of the content I deal with it myself (I play since 2012 but stopped for a few years and came back when they implemented ultras).
The game is also too old to be this grindy to the point that it forces to encourage us to find friends/groups to do ULTRAs I like AQ when its still casual friendly that everything is doable solo but now yeah I like some ultras but some can just F off 🙂
Does auto typer count as botting i used one like 3 years ago and never got banned i had it set up for fights where i had to farm 100+ items from enemies so i only pressed 1-2-3-4 every 2-3 seconds on repeat
In my honest opinion of a person that played this game for 10 years, botting is a big part of Aqw, and maybe with a lot of changes and a lot of work and redisign of a ton of quest botting die finally, but for now, botting will still be a big part of the game
If they want the Bot's gone. The only solution is they make Auto Play/quest ingame settings. Many mobile games done that anyway. That will kill the botters.😆
I'm returning player, I'm playing again since two weeks ago, what I have was LOO and SC that day, I grinding so hard now I have AP, LR, and need 3 more days to get VHL(elder blood reset) all of that without using bot, I'm spamming my keyboard using left hand while the other hand doing something lol. and yeah the ultra boss was crazy and I find that malgor and temple shrine is the hardest one for now. about forge enhance, man it's so hard to get, and the only 1 I have was lacerate, I'm still trying to get at least valiance since dauntless requirement is insane.
I've played games with lots of grinding, like Path of Exile, and always enjoyed farming. However, in AQW, the farming was so boring that I ended up using bots to do everything.
agreeable, people who defend the tedious and braindead farms are coping so HARD. Its absolutely boring, non-interactive, and retarded.
@@nine6447 agree
You got some legit bots fam?
why do you bot if u consider farming boring?
Guess what monster drops those."
So, we've established that the game is horribly balanced (especially if you're a new player) and that the gameplay loop is extremely repetitive with little to no variation.
If you told a dev to make a new account and get NSOD or BLOD or some of the grinding classes, do you think they'd say "Sure, that sounds like fun!" or would that say "That is too much work for something that'll just make the game feel slightly easier but ultimately be the same"
too accurate
AQW3D could have fixed these flaws but they keep going, even worst
getting the devs to make a new account and tell them to get NSOD sounds like a good plan lmao
Needs to be pinned and sent to AE most accurate comment I’ve seen
Honestly I think people who don’t bot are just lazy to figure out how to bot lmfao this game is designed to be botted
Won’t you get banned?
The ultras certainly plays a big role in the botting ecology. But dang they kinda overtune the stats oftentimes
You mean the ultra merges where it needs you to collect tons of stuff from different maps against tough non ultra mobs (example malgor armor to rgow) together with the weekly grind
That's the reason why I quit farming ultra speaker.
After seeing those requirements.
I enjoy ultra fights 👍, but mindless farming 🙅♂️.
@@jaypeadieL611 i bot the shit out of that LMAO
@@darryl7882 we did it with a party made stuff so much easier especially the grind in worldscore and manacradle.
I don't mind farming or grinding but there's a point where it becomes too absurd.
are you still able to bot?
AQW has one of the hardest grinds in all the games
I played, its legit insanity, to me the grind experience is so tough that you realize how little progress you make.
Yeah, god bless those bot makers! It benefit people like you
which bot are you using ?
I understand the grind, I have played many games that requires lots of grind but none would compete against AQW.
fr
AE have this kind of fetish for S & M enjoyer. xD
fr aqw is crazy
I tried grinding pyromancer and shaman when I was a kid it was insane to make it worse grinding juggernaut items and finding nulgath larvae is beyond.
Bro it’s a full time job playing this game legitimately
cant really compare botting for a class and having a bot complete a full game for someone since aqw doesnt really have any depth to combat or anything its most of the time just mindless button presses when in other games like warthunder and stuff like that it takes skill and knowledge to be good
The fact that you need 30 days to get NSOD as a member is enough to tell a new player what this game is about.
Just wait for void aura boost
Need? How do you come to this conclusion? You can realistically get it in a week or two.
tbh botting won't ever die
as for the argument of, "why even play the game when bots do it all for you? wheres the fun in that?"
Most of those ppl are just there for the cosmetics because AQW is pretty much a glorified dress up game, which is understandable
Botting is just way more useful for the people who don’t want to do spend a lot of time Infront of the screen to play an old game they played in their childhood (guilty here)
Ultras are a good addition that helps with the farming process of difficult items such as legion revenant and void highlord.
"what next, are we going to do AE's taxes for the next ultra boss?" LOL That's hilarious!
I used to bot then, I have been playing back for a while now, did not even think about botting at all since a lot of the content has been turned into fun ones instead of mindless farming.
i think they should exactly keep that up to make the game more fun and fights botting at the same time
just start botting agian, its ok man
The reason people bot is because the game makes the insane grinding feel very unrewarding and boring.
also since i installed Grim client, i have not been playin the game trough Browser/AE Client, it gives me ability to access bank without the pet
@@RicochetAQW
Why would I grind for something that can be botted? It gives me the same satisfaction as it does to you.
@@RicochetAQW most people i see the alt by buying the account on facebook group, which they sold all endgame item on cheap price, especially on Philippines aqw account group, literally sold VHL and LR on cheap price since US dollar more value than Philippines peso
@@kyroo182over here ratioing on him on his own video 😂
From a veteran perspective they have already been conditioned by this game so what may look like too much to one person looks looks easy to them because they're familar with the game's grind.
i can't blame botters since the items in-game are really time consuming
AE themselves is the reason why people bot.
How 'bout no, i dont want to grind into oblivion only to find out i have to complete bullshit challenges just to rank up my class
I’m the kind of guy who hates grinding a lot too but My intention wasn’t specifically pointing to the fact that I would make players grind further into “oblivion” by this, but rather have more visually pleasing effects for others to witness since Aw worlds is just another “mindless advanced cookie clicker” game in your desktop
Plus, like Ricochet said, we can tackle the grind/farm problem itself by shortening the farming process.
7:40 LET HIM COOK
does auto keyboard clicking considered as botting? cause i use it in my lr quests and more
yes. I f it doesnt belong to AE its botting.
They should add idle auto attack features for the new infinity
So... botting ?
No? I don't think u play games enough to know that many games have auto battle feature.
@@immaeditthatout7099Yes.
They've made their stance about botting known the moment they sped up the mob respawn timers.
Botting will never stop, it will only get worse and worse and worse,, it wont be long until someone gets ahold of the server at this point
I got a challenge to level up my friend’s account in 3 days for 50$
worth of food (just for the sports)
I wasn’t gonna sit there and grind his account, it’s a win win situation
Nice
I really need badly an auto attack bot just because my fingers are so tried now , 2 week since ive been farming for LR and VHL since i just got back on the game for almost 7 yrs when i was away

eeh, is there another working bot aside from grim now ? if there's another can you tell me what is it ?
I do bot but being a high enough level to solo most things, I stick to private rooms to not bother other players or get in other people’s way
Thats how we do, bot is still make sense coz ppl not always there for u
What bot do you use? I've tried grim but it doesn't seem to work
I’m playing on and of and I’ve used bots for the longer grinds since at least 2015!
Without bot, this game is dead already. Artix should thanx for this bot for carrying his game
Less than half of the playerbase bots
People Use bots because they still want to be in the Updated content of AQW even tho they have other priorities in life. Not Everyone has the luxury of time.
Started playing in 2011 and only started botting few years after because I had to open a new account after my account got hacked along with the mail somehow, so yeah, had to bot so I could even enjoy it
I’d say the biggest bonus to botting programs for aqw is the fps increase.. i like having my fps capped at 200 instead of 24
I first played aqw in 2009 and ever since then I'd play on & off depending on what was in during those years.
It does every single step of every process you could ask for.
what client sir
I'm only playing aqw because of bots, i use it to farm this stupid farms and i play manually the good part of the game (ultrabosses + new events)
People are so uncooperative there
Toxic players can definitely mess you up. Some will report you too😪
i actually done xyfrag and nerfkitten just now for vdk, i met 2 new friend, maybe it's just a bad day for you, hope you found someone in your journey mate 😁
i used to bot, and i got 3 accounts legion revenant. but i also made my own bots so i would look videos up like yours as a guide to the bots i would make. but cetera doesnt seem to work well anymore that spider left for ae so i dont bot anymore
Ultras were the worst addition to the game. Not only does it punish weak internet connection, but also forces you to search for randoms to kill it. You're also punished if your teammate messes up.
Ultras are the best addition to the game.
rlly good addition tbh. a little bit of difficulty doesn't hurt, just like other rpgs. it gives more thought and strategy rather than just plain brain dead farming.
I've never botted, never will bot, and will never ever accept anyone botting. Simple as that. If you don't have the guts to farm hard, then don't.
krazy
i actually write some of my script for botting such as forge quest for cape. and i gotta say, writing the script itself is much more fun than mindlessly pressing number key lmao
Aqw has 2 problems I would love that they would solve
1- The huge (tedious) farms and mindless spamming you have to do to get a mid class or 25% xp equipment.
2- Releasing too many events
They released so much maps over the years that I remember I used to feel lost when I started playing the game, and it felt really disconnected.
I think you’re forgetting to account for the people who watch your video, give up and search up the Bot video isntead
Is it possible got ban for botting?
their own launcher is so busted that I gotta use the bot ones just to acess the game lmao
People use bots because they have life, they have works, they have jobs.Would u spend 6hours free time after 8hours job killing thousands of undead ?
"Wheres the fun in that?"
How bout players who ioda vhl,lr,nsod etc ? Fun ?
Doing the same shit over and over is fun?
Botters dont bot storyline and ultra, why ? Because its fun and not repetitive
If u dont want botter, just make good storyline/ultra,instead of mindlessly farming/killing shit tons of enemies just to get 1 item/class
Item requirement in this game ridiculous, lower it
Or change it to something like "u need to kill 10 different weeky ultras to get this class" or "u need finish blablabla's storyline to get this item, players would be more interested doing this themselves rather than using bot.
This is just my 2cents,feels free to right the wrongs
fr
I only botted because im playing the game solo since 2009. its hard to find people to party that are friends irl w/ level and class and items and pc and classes and everything. Botting helps lessen your sanity for being alone. thats all
Farming for LR before the Ultra's I wanted to bot so badly, it was just too much mindless clicking for some of the quests
I didn't mind farming VHL, and I definetly didn't mind farming archmage
Archmage was probably the most fun farm, did it in a few days
Archmage farm had a lot of 'diversity' farming, the flibbi guy, ultras (or non options with lower %) and not needing me to kill 500 enemies in 10 different rooms
I botted long ago for BLOD but ultimately ended up farming by hand years later after I got LR
Botting in malgor is crazy, how? And you can't feel the depressing feeling to try again and again everytime u missed the taunt sequence on malgor 😭
you make 4 accs and go loco
Watching this while botting final materials for NSOD.
Botters is the majority of AQW players, only new players didn't do bot, but once they start to farm endgame stuff, they eventually find out about it
Thankfully they made ultra boss to prevent botters from getting anything
is autoclicking/macro included?
About the PalaChrono, can you try out hearty enhancement if you have it. Just for the lols. Since END stat give 5hp per point, the helm's 241 END alone can give you over 1,200hp.
Malgor is a bit too hard for people who don't have friends who also play AQW. But if you got some, it's one of the easier bosses, definitely easier than Drakath with randoms
It is good because it encourages people to socialise, but is definitely off-limits to casual players
I'm afraid of using bots due to viruses
theres no virus
We dont see much botters these days because they can fill an entire room with all their GEARED alts moving and this includes doing "SOLO ULTRAS" 🤣
That will kill the botters.😆
farming archmage and dragon of time are one of tme most fun i've had farming classes
but, some of the killing hundreds time quest are quite annoying
I'm returning player, I'm playing again since two weeks ago, what I have was LOO and SC that day, I grinding so hard now I have AP, LR, and need 3 more days to get VHL(elder blood reset) all of that without using bot, I'm spamming my keyboard using left hand while the other hand doing something lol. and yeah the ultra boss was crazy and I find that malgor and temple shrine is the hardest one for now. about forge enhance, man it's so hard to get, and the only 1 I have was lacerate, I'm still trying to get at least valiance since dauntless requirement is insane.
what class are you using?
@5:20, go watch the new coliseum boss in osrs; I swear they took inspiration from runescape the the mechanics
