I'm thinking it's a combination of strong ankle and calf muscles and not having foot problems....yet. I could run like a track star in a 3 inch heel before I joined the military at 19. By the time I got out, a one inch pump was giving me trouble after an hour. I was in great condition before I entered and after 5+ years in, but combat boots caused my feet to change in bad ways. It's just a theory, but either foot problems or weak calf or ankle muscles could be your problem.

barefoot is the way to go! i prefer walking around barefoot inside and especially outside but there are a lot of places where that’s not socially acceptable so I just do it in my front yard, backyard, and parks 😅
