I remember the very first time I travelled to The Philippines. I went to Palawan but did an overnight layover in Manila. I went to one of the huge malls there and they had this Karaoke machine in the middle of the mall. The person guarding it said that anyone can use it as long as you can sing. I was so confident because I know I can sing well.... then the machine gave me a score of 75. I was devastated.... Right after I sang, a 15 or 16 year old girl grabbed the mic and started singing a Whitney Houston song like it was nothing.... that was the day I realized to never try to show off in front of Filipinos when it comes to singing, hahaha
Not just singing....champion in boxing, gun shooting, martial arts, break dancing, etc....this country should be sacred, until now they still believe in true love, family values, life values , good manners, respect to others and god fearing country. They accept all nationalities with open arms, they'd even invite you home to feed you lol. The country and its people are natural born champions of life values. It is the Avatar of the world.
Obviously the Philippines. The only country with literally a million ordinary people walking around having Whitney Houston level talent. I remember my first visit to the Philippines and there was a band playing in a food court in a mall. A lowly food court and no one was paying any attention to them - except me - because I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. They were better than any band I had ever seen in the U.S. and I’d been to Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, and many others from the 70s, 80s, & 90s.
The singer at the start is Filipina singer Dessa who I believe is now based in USA. This is in the Philippines...this is juts an everyday thing for Filipinos who love singing
Can we all take a moment and thank Chaka Khan for gracing us with this song, and NINA for her beautiful rendition of the song which most if not all of these performers are covering.
During my visit to the Philippines, the family gathering kicked off with a round of karaoke. Everyone was so talented that I opted to be the audience and refrained from singing. 😅🤣
Filipinos sing for breakfast every morning. It's ridiculous how many talented singers are in this country. I was in Manila last week and while I was eating I heard this beautiful duo through the speaker system. I thought it was a recording. Little did I know they were performing live! I almost fell out of my chair 😅
Here is the list that you will expect inside of a traditional Filipino home.... Rice cooker (gotta have it....more important than any gadget around) Tabo (in every comfort room) Toyo, Suka, banana ketsup, etc. (condiments) Karaoke machine (for ANY occasion). 😉🎤📻🎼🎵🎶
everyone in this video sang it, but Eumee Capile felt it, sang it and made sure her audience feel what the song is About🥺 she caught me🥹 her performance here will haunt everyone who hears it. thats what this song is all about. its more than just an explosion of vocal prowess but rather of feelings🥹🥹🥹 Eumee is a great storyteller❤️ aww my heart😭🥹
It's the boy in the mall supermarket (#7 video)and Gigi De Lana ( #28 video) who really brought it home for me! Gigi De Lana! What a great, beautiful voice you have matched with a beautiful face. She voiced out the words clearly and heartedly. And she was sitting down while hitting the high notes easily and gracefully! Just wow!❤
Grabe yung kay jona, yung control and power, maning mani nya yung kanta hindi sya nahihirapan and ang daling pakinggan nung boses nya compared sa iba, katrina and dessa nailed it too!
Nina's pretty big in the 2000s. She had an album with Through The Fire. I believe it was recorded live and she was sitting down while singing it. You should look for it. ☺️
Gigi to me gave the best rendition of Chaka Khan's classic. Not only she has best tonal and belting quality but also the richness of voice, especially during the climax part. She has the silky quality even in the birit.Such is Gigi de Lana.
While the whole country is being praised, quite a number of viewers somehow skewed this into a competition!? Accept compliments and praises with dignity and humility without ever diminishing the light of others.
Aicelle, Jona and Paulette ung sobrang galing at taas tlaga. Better than original. The other women on this list also gave justice, Pero it was expected with them Pero ung 3 nasabe ko sa taas ung talagang sobra sobra
Si Esterlina Olmida cebuano po yan....galing kumanta talaga. At saka si Sheryn Regis parang nagtotoothpick lang eh. Sisiw na sisiw ang kantang Through the fire. PROUD FILIPINA here.
back in old days when radio at Tv was the only source of somewhat entertainment ... Through The Fire was always played on the radio stations. AM and FM... Midnight broadcast of radio stations also includes Through the Fire playlist. Chaka Khan was popular back in the days in the Philippines.
I's but ordinary for female singers to sing this song due its female pitch but exceptional for the male singers...so, i would like to commend the male singers who tried to do this song and hitting those high notes👏👏👏
That’s in the PHILIPPINES of course. So many good singers there. It’s a daily routine or hobby there to turn on their karaoke machines and sing! Neighbors & friends even joins the karaoke session with food & drink & sing their heart out.
5:05 the best one here aside from the seasoned pros. Her tone is beautiful, she manages to enunciate through the phrase, the highest belted note had vibrato.
@@JPLMONEY23 I like rock and I am familiar with a little compression and I feel she is doing it, but for some vocal coaches, they think this is wrong technique.
Thank you everyone for the views and the reax! What was meant to drive a little satire turned into an appreciation thread. There were many other videos we wanted to include in this compilation but some were not in front of a live audience. If you have any other link to a good performance of this song, please comment.
Going #1 in the pop charts has very small correlation to singing ability in the age of social media. You must be an attention-seeking famewhore willing to do everything for a bunch of financiers who only care about recouping their investment if you wanna be an international popstar. Sadly it lent itself to more manufactured talents that rely heavily on autotune and special fx. There are still a few genuine singers who barely taste success, but I do not see anyone being the next Whitney, Celine or Mariah. But that style of singing being passe is not always a bad thing.

The Philippines... My Beloved Country.
😅😅😅
Yeah…. When God showered philippines with talents, I was asleep! 🛌 💤
Wow wow wow
The singer at the start is Filipina singer Dessa who I believe is now based in USA. This is in the Philippines...this is juts an everyday thing for Filipinos who love singing
I hope she joins the voice USA to be a coach since she is a legend
Gusto lang ng subscriptions nito. Alam nila na tuwing may feature na pinoy patay na patay tayo.
Dessa Zaragosa..
Juts talaga haha

true! people don't give enough credit to nina
Yeah. Nina was the first to cover it and everybody is trying to mimic her since then.

The kid in the supermarket OMG
Best of them all…the boy at 2:30 mark ! He sounded like a Jackson. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Dessa known as Asia's Divette and Powerhouse Diva of the Philippines. She is also known as the front act Queen back then. She is so good. 👏👏👏👏👏
For real🔥
She's so amazing

All of them was able to reach the notes. What I like best is the version of Dessa!
I agree 👍
right? i mean hitting all those notes like easy peasy

Dessa’s G#5 note is like a laser beam/bomb! So powerful!!!
I thought the same thing. That is a freaking G#.
Lots of belters in every corner of the Philippines we're so used to it 😅

My favorites:
12:24 Katrina Velarde
15:12 Morisette Amon
0:00 Dessa
5:07 Cess Culala (never knew her until I saw this vid)
Grabe yung kay jona, yung control and power, maning mani nya yung kanta hindi sya nahihirapan and ang daling pakinggan nung boses nya compared sa iba, katrina and dessa nailed it too!
i really love jona's style, laging napaka daling pakinggan at panoorin kapag kumanta siya, she always make it sound and look effortless
The land with the best singers in the world… Philippines👏👏👏
Si morissette lang talaga nagpatayo Ng balahibo ko ang galing iba ung tone Ganda😭😍❤️
Saang balahibo banda?
Philippines, her name is Dessa, now based in las vegas, i believe she still sings, at the moment she sings with my friend and his band SFB..
Ang galing nung Nina, Gigi, Mori at Jona but Dessa's belt is super clean, no struggles at all.
Nina's pretty big in the 2000s. She had an album with Through The Fire. I believe it was recorded live and she was sitting down while singing it. You should look for it. ☺️
I like the confidence of a man's singing beside the stand up comedians😂
The first singer breathing flawlessly with the high notes.😘
Gigi to me gave the best rendition of Chaka Khan's classic. Not only she has best tonal and belting quality but also the richness of voice, especially during the climax part. She has the silky quality even in the birit.Such is Gigi de Lana.
And this is just a Tuesday night karaoke in the Philippines 😂. Everyone over there can sing and belt any song!
Sikat na talaga si
"What Country is this"😂
Pilipino rin po Yun,un ang parating comment nya😅

I love Filipina Divas but the version I like most is of Gigi DE Luna. So exceptional and unique
Gigi de Lana yes 💓
Aicelle, Jona and Paulette ung sobrang galing at taas tlaga.

Singing this song is like
Going to the battle and where there is no point of return!😂
They are all amazing!!!!👏👏👏
Ganda ng G#5 ni Aicelle at Jona. Malutong na, may vibrato pa.
They eat microphones for breakfast.😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I's but ordinary for female singers to sing this song due its female pitch but exceptional for the male singers...so, i would like to commend the male singers who tried to do this song and hitting those high notes👏👏👏
Jaya’s timber and right amount of soul
Filipinos loves challenges in singing they don't settle for less they want perfection.😊
Morissette, she's the best in the world but, Gigi's version is my favourite. Charice, goodness, her notes went flat and sharp
Kay gigi de llana for the win...execution, slow rock version and yung ganda niya habang bumibirit.
Ah. The Phillipines. A country where on any given day you can find a world class vocal talent at the mall or on the street. Bravo
Dessa, jona, nina, mori and katrina hit the note with chest voice.
I was totally deaf by the end of this video. Great singing boys and girls!
😂
the little boy singing in supermarket is the only one who gave justice to this song.. simple and the best. congratulations my dear.!!
Filipino talent... Truly worls class.. Truly the best❤

3:44 was a featured video from some content creators. Taken in a Filipino party doing the Karaoke Relay challenge.
I love the version of gigi delana😍
Desa magaling, at classic with rock version yong kay Gigi Delana! Iba parin bumanat si Higi De lana. Talagang nagmamarka!
Beloved Country of Philippines. Great singers .
The skill and talent of Philippine singers are amazing, spectacular and come naturally.
The country of Soul! Phenomenal performance, not easy to do a Chaka Khan ballot! This woman performs it, like she’s on fire! Superb
Gigi De Lana and Nina ❤💯
Ang hirap kantahin ❤ this compilation collection of people singing this song buwis hiniga hahaha.
I am not in the Philippines and I can only recognize a few of these wonderful singers. Kindly tag each of them.
Mabuhay! Talented human being...
All of them.from the Philippines!
5:20 I like the voice spectrum. Ang kapal kahit bumibirit na. Galing!
You can hear good singers in all corner here in Philippines. Even in most remote areas, on the mountains and seasides.
They are all Amazing singers ❤❤❤
This is ultimately amazing compilation and this from 🇵🇭
Asias Phoenix ) MORISSETTE.. Has the full beautiful timbre 🇨🇦even her belted notes stay full, does not shred or tin out..gorgeous Tone 🔥
The Philippines, of course.
1. Katrina
2. Dessa
3. Nina
4. Mori
Lahat magagaling, pero itong 4 lang nagpa goosebumps sakin 😅
5:05 the best one here aside from the seasoned pros.
Her tone is beautiful, she manages to enunciate through the phrase, the highest belted note had vibrato.
gigi's voice stands out..its soothing to the ears..she hits the notes perfectly..nearest version of the original
Luwang kaya ng boses nya. Lata na kapag mataas na.
of course its Philippines.... i love Gigi.., and Jona
Philippines… It’s very simple, we absolutely love this song!!!
When Morisette's voice is put side by side with other belters, her high belts simply shines. It's full and round.
But her belts are shouty and screaming
Hmmm No
I personally think that Gigi took it to another level....it was clean and seemed effortless for her.
@@JPLMONEY23 I like rock and I am familiar with a little compression and I feel she is doing it, but for some vocal coaches, they think this is wrong technique.
If I'm not mistaken c miss reg lng iba key...prang a5 yung climax nya....
They were all Filipinos from Philippines and we sing from the heart with emotions.
proud Filipino here👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yun pumasok k lang at nag vacant time s Videoke machine with your classmates the best moments 😊🎉
The best to me is the little boy’s version, clearest!
JONA with so much ease
It can only be in the Philippines!....Dessa ( the singer at the start of the vid ) is in the house!!!!
Wala lang chill chill lang sila😅❤proud pinoy here
Gigi is my fave , it’s a big Wow!
Katrina sounds like an afro-american ❤❤❤❤
Gigi de Lana is epic version
I cant get over when the first girl putting up the devil sign while belting the song
2:43 🎉🎉 That’s Anjo sarnate. @anjo
The best talaga si Sheryn Regis. Nilaro laro lang nya hahaha
filipinos are interesting because they are really good to imitate the voice/vocal and sounds it like the original.
The 3rd singer was aila santos on tawag ng tanghalan

hinanap ko si Nina...siya pala ang sahuli😂
for some reason mas gusto ko yung timbre nya ngayon compared sa release nya na sumikat sa Nina Live.... more girth, more control.
They are Filipino singers. They are so extremely talented in terms of singing. Better than we know internationally in the pop charts. 😊

That's why it's great to let your babies cry to develop a good diaphragm. That's the key why Filipinos got beautiful voices.
Wowww im proud of you guys❤❤❤❤❤
DESSA... Exact Note !!! The BEST !!!
Filipinos voice range is incredible ❤
❤ Nina
❤ Charice
❤ Dessa

JONA and GIGI ang ganda ng version at pag execute.
