PrePoMax & CalculiX - Advisor, Units and Transformations

- A demonstration of the user's Advisor inside the PrePoMax pre and post-processor for the CalculiX FEM solver. All versions from the version 0.8.0 on are unit aware. That means that all physical quantities can be entered in the selected unit system or using any other common appropriate unit and are automatically converted to the selected unit system.

hi, thank you for turning back unitless system in current version (v1.0) however some units seems at double in 'm' unit of length. imho, it could be better to replace with 'cm' units since many old device (some are still available today) of pressure gauge use kilogram-force per centimetre square. also many old technical book use these system of units. best,
Well, there is no problem with adding new, additional unit systems. But only consistent unit systems will ever be supported. The reason is, that in this way the input CalculiX .inp file contains the same values as the user interface. Otherwise, the conversion to consistent values changes them.

I have little problems in setting up group of face and element selection.
Create group of face based on surface angle limits criteria does not working properly for current versions. The behavior in display models are the same no matter angle limits set by some input values.
another problems are in definition of parts and element sets, as I know the concept of parts are unique for visually. However, seems both need to be exist due to another complexity of CalculiX features were not yet implemented.
Add/Convert to part may not to removes element sets itself. There's no option to add/convert to element sets from parts menus for assign non existing material in libraries using Edit CalculiX Keywords feature.

@@MatejBorovinsek sorry for my mistakes in reporting such as a bug,
i did not see carefully for something new in GUI's selection menus. Geometry based selection are activated and shown by default,
mesh based selections are hidden under 'More' press buttons.

i am unable to save and open files in prepomax , can someone help ?
Maybe check the PrePoMax folder path for strange characters and move the PrePoMax if they exist.
