I looked on other similar instructions and they say 360F for 35 mins. Apparently she told people on instagram to do it for 200C for 45 mins which is roughly 390F. I think I’m going to try the air fryer at 400F for about 8 mins, hit it with that paprika oil and then another 12ish and skip the boiling all together. That’s what one recipe suggested for air frying times and temps

OK, I like the snoozing dragon technique applied to a potato, but you could do this with a whole potato for better effect. If you're going to cut them down like this, just do hasselbacks, better surface area, less effort... actually that applies to the full potato snoozing dragon as well.
Thank you for the final comment regrding using the offcuts. I know some families wouldn't even consider making these because it seemed to waste a lot of the potatoes and not everyone would think to use the offcut for mashed potato or in another way. So it's appreciated.
