Haha "proper aussie bushwalker"... welcome to the big hat brigade 🤠. That sure was a big day in the heat, well done double-camping it today. If only we had those long daylight hours in winter!
The big floppy hat served me well! Yeah, that was a warm one. The daylight hours were really long. It wasn't getting completely dark until after 9:30pm so was generally tucked up for the night before it even got dark.
Flying through the trail! Nothing worse then starting to second guess yourself on the nav haha, sometimes you just have to trust your instinct cause signs can maps can be wrong. Really lovely hike so far, looking forward to day 4 :)
Thanks Jake! Took the body a couple of days to work out again what I was trying to do to it but it started cooperating after that! That was one of only a few sections that weren't really clearly marked out. The rest of it was really easy to follow most of the time.
Thanks Nurisha! really appreciate you saying so and hope you're enjoying the series so far. Hiking always seems to feel more tiring in warmer weather. That was a warm day!
Too true! I only wore a sun visor on a walk through Litchfield in the NT last week and got a dose of heat stroke... and on the way back proceeded to drop my phone twice which destroyed the screen 😬.... so no more vids until I can get it fixed!
@@AmyOutdoors, bugger about getting heatstroke and about the phone damage. Hope you can get the screen fixed quickly and inexpensively. Great that you managed to get out to Litchfield though!

Well done on pumping out those kilometres, I would certainly feel buggered too. The videos looks awesome Chris!

22km in the heat, I bet you were feeling that 😅😅
Yep, it got pretty warm that day but fortunately most of the hike I had pretty mild weather.
Have to ask how was the tent?
Was very happy with the Altaplex on its first trip. Review to come soon!
Good move on wearing the broad brimmed hat. Last thing you need is to be dealing with heat stroke or bad sunburn.
Yes, glad I packed it. It got quite a bit of use on the trip.
