Of course there will. Google Santa Maria Della Salute (known as The SALUTE), which sits on its own very small Island, looking over as The Lion and the Doges Palace - 1630. As she was then, she is now and she will be.
I've seen a lot of travel vlogs out there, and boy oh boy, this one's one of the best ones! Love everything about this, the editing, beautiful scenery, this just makes me want to travel to Italy rn.

Jason Billam: Thank you very much. Just from your voice I can hear how Venezia has captivated you! You lucky man and lucky for us you have the creativity and ability to share it with us. You either GET Venezia or you don’t.
Wow it’s absolutely beautiful!,, even though they need the tourists ,,,it’s so great to see it empty....your so lucky to be there,,,,thanks for sharing,,and be safe...
Oh my goooooodneeeeeess!!!!!! Having Venice for yourself, you're so blessed to have lived that, I just can't not envy you man, this is beyond my own dream vacation!! Cheers from Montréal
Wow what a city of history. Beautiful and iconic. So grateful for your videos. AND i reall like when you tip your salute to say arrivadechi and you say peace.
I'm currently editing my Venice vlog from last year and it's funny how this very crowded city became so silent. I remember the first time I visited, I was so blown away. Tbh, it's because of the tourists but not you'll be blown away by the place itself. You have all the place for yourself 😍
Venice would have been bustling with native Venetians as recently as the 1950's. The population of Venice is now around 50,000 with up to 60,000 tourists on it's busiest days. However, in the 1500's it was closer to 180,000 Venetians along with a few thousand traders/visitors [again peaking in the 1950's at about the same number]. So, if anything it would have been even more crowded in its heyday than it is in high season today. That's not to say it wouldn't have had a certain charm that it now lacks. Cities in general were unbelievably crowded before the advent of affordable mass transit and the automobile. London for example had roughly the same population it has now in the 1910's yet in an area less than half the size. Ancient Rome was a veritable beehive.
There are still many places in Italy with few tourists ( in no covid times/ normal times). For instance not far from Venice you could visit Treviso or Chioggia, just to name a few. Anyway I would not miss Venice , in spite of the numerous tourists. I hate the crowds and when I visit Venice I do it at 6 am(or even earlier): no crowds, no anxiety and I have the chance to take nice pictures with the misty weather at 6 am.
@@rd4963 Sooo. Let me get this, you pontificate that the charm of La Serenissima “survives only because of the money from tourism. “. How shallow and ignorant. She has seen tourists come and go over her thousand years and she lets them break over her like waves that move on. Same thing with plagues, come to think of it. How very sad you are not able to fully understand THE CHARM of Venezia.
Morano stole my heart when I visited it last year one afternoon that had slightly overcast conditions with gushes of chilly wind and shower.. such a lovely place.. seeing the clouds build up over Venice across the lagoon from the jetty is unforgettable
Everyone wants to be a tourist in Venice when there no other tourists around! You gotta share it! In normal times the most famous places in Venice are crowded, of course, BUT there are delightful areas where many tourists don't get to, so avoid the popular tourist trudge from the station to St Mark's Square. The Square at night is a delight after day-trippers have left, the Dorsoduro district at any time has fewer visitors, and so many local restaurants are superb. In recent years many buildings have been restored (thanks to tourist and advertising money) and it is visitors that keeps Venice afloat. Cruise ships are the blight, disturbing the waters and canals, bringing tourists who crowd the streets and then go away after spending little money because everything on board is included. Venice still has charm and atmosphere aplenty - treat it well and reap its rewards. But do your homework before you go and take a good map with you.
Well said Mike 👍 The scourge of those monstrosity; the cruise ships. Away from St Marco and vicinity; stroll and meander in the quieter lanes and a whole mesmerizing Venice awaits. It is so safe to walk around Venice at night, shadowy and evocative with the gentle lapping of waters. Spent three week in Venice over three visits and I hankered to be back. Dreaming of Serenissima in grey drab Melbourne....😔 Ah to see my Salute again, my favourite 😍
That was absolutely stunning. My first trip and subsequent trip we stayed in private apartments, shopped locally, visited all the island and you found some wonderful places I have now recalled. Thank you!
Thanks for another view of deserted Venice. It must be a nice feeling. I guess no water bus service running, so you really got a good favour from your b&b owner. Looking forward to more. You might also visit places around I visited.Treviso, Verona, Milan and Bellagio on lake Como.
Omg! I was watching and thinking I'm going to be the 1st to leave comment today but by the time I finished watching these lovely people beat me to it...lol oh well...I enjoyed this vlog alot. How lucky are you to get this amazing experience of viewing without hardly any other tourist around. 👍😊

So I advise you to come in italy because now there aren't lots of tourist and you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes in peace.
What a perfect time to go to Italy you were so lucky to have gone at that time with nice moderate temperature no tourists that’s what I would want to go but a little too far from Canada during Covid
