    Bruce Gilden is one of my favorite photographers for his images, but his aggressive style is not something I would do. Jeff Ascough produces a lot of amazing images shooting from the hip. RAW files are meant to be processed, as a RAW file it is a series of binary numbers converted to an image. JPEGs out of the camera are processed within the camera with the photographer having no control apart from choosing a filter for the image. Give me RAW and Lightroom anytime

    Put it this way - I have a lot more respect for a photographer that openly takes a photo up close over someone who sneaks photos without the subject knowing

      it all depends on the vision of the photographs, sure if you have the prime focus of people, then photographers should 100% be open to the subjects if asked

    Is it possible to have misconceptions about Street Photography - it is not exactly a defined trade or mode or endproduct.

      Anything can have misconceptions if enough people don’t understand it
