I was on mikes little league team two years, his dad was coach. We went undefeated both years. I always thought he’d go pro. I didn’t know he actually did until I saw the sports center highlight of Chapman throwing at his head a couple weeks ago. So bittersweet to see him get his revenge in the form of eliminating them!!

Wished it could have been in front of a packed house that was hanging on every pitch - but still a classic postseason winner-take-all game. As a baseball fan it doesn't get much better than this. Two really good teams that probably would have both won 95-100 games in a normal length season.

Like the Dodgers, like the Cubs, like the Red Sox, like the Cardinals, the Rays dont have fans like that. They win 90 games and average 13,000 people a night. That's what I ment it as... Not as hate for the Yankees or any other organization or their fans. To much hate in the world, especially towards success, people get jealous its like why cant you be happy someone else finally got a chance?

Montreal got screwed out of the playoffs with the 1994 player strike, and they were banking on playoff revenue to pay their players. So they sold Larry Walker, Pedro Martinez, Marquis Grissom and others to teams that ended up winning championships, or at least playing in the playoffs

Glasnow got knocked out early and Cole managed to hold the Rays off to send the Astros to the ALCS after a surprisingly competitive series. So enter this game, but now with Tyler Glasnow's gutsy start on only two days rest. It didn't matter that he didn't get a full start, he put it all on the line and gave the Rays 2.1 impeccable IP. Then Brosseau got his revenge against Matt Chapman to win the game, which was just icing on the cake.
Awesome job Rays , go win it all. That Brosseau home run was the ultimate karma. Chapman threw 101 at his head, then throw 100 right down the middle to win the game. Just the ultimate payback. And the yankees trying to hit home runs, forgot how to play small ball. Great win rays,
