- In today's video we are ripping the new release from topps 2023 chrome. This is always a fun set to rip but man they sure make it difficult to hit a big card with the absolute huge auto checklist. Retail is a nice option this year if you can get your hands on it. Let me know what yall think of this one and as always Happy Collecting!!!

So , my first impressions of the blaster box of chrome this year. I went to my LCS thursday and bought my very first 3- 2023 topps chrome blasters. I picked up a pack of top loaders and wanted to get some penny sleeves (but they were all out and something about an issue with quality control). Mind you, this is my first pick up of cards in a loooong time. I havent collected since 2019. Anyways , I got the blasters and the top loaders and brought them home and broke em open. I pulled 3 buy back cards (all base) and I pulled a purple speckled numbered to 299 I believe. Then right behind that I pulled an on card autograph rookie purple speckled /299 ! First autograph I have EVER pulled. It wasnt anyone amazing (Ryan Aguilar) but its my first one and from a blaster! I went back friday and picked up another 3 boxes and I pulled one refractor buy back an adley sepia , an adley future stars card (neither were nunbered unfortunately) and I pulled another rookie autograph base card (not numbered I dont think). It wasn't one of the big names but still! 6 blasters, 2 rookie autos one of which is a parallel, 4 total buy back cards and a ton of good rookie cards. I think the only base rookies i didnt get were adley and anthony volpe. Its just got to be a great case in general.
Sounds like you had alot of fun with that brother, always nice when it's going your way. Congrats on the pulls man and like I always say don't be afraid of retail. In fact retail is the better buy in alot of sets imo

That Max Fried card seems like he's trying to pick someone off at first base. He's got an amazing move. They asked Braves manager Brian Snitker when they allow Fried to attempt a pick-off considering the new rules. He answered, "With his move, whenever he wants."

So I did just recently pick up a 2023 Topps Chrome Ohtani silver mojo refractor on ebay a very decent price.

The 2023 design does look great in chrome. I hit a Mookie Betts image variation #'d to 25. One of my better hits in a while.

Your right I loved when the blasters were 20$ bc you could go on there and get a 10 piece and have a blast for 200$ ..I opened 2 blasters and 2 hobby …blasters I got aqua wave auto of kc player Eaton I never herd of and adley sepia in other one ..hobby boxes were pretty good I got a Corbin and Grayson rod radiating rookies ..sold the Corbin tonight on eBay paid for all my product …autos were Riley green base and Jared Shuester pitcher gold wave auto …but I did terrible on my refractors and prizm cards so I might buy me a jumbo lmfao take care brother

I just did a couple case breaks with the Braves this year instead of buying a box seemed like a better value chasing Acuna. Hit a nice Michael Harris auto /150 and a blue Acuna /150

Nice hits! I ripped 4 blasters - no color or autos. But I did hit a sepia Corbin Caroll, Nolan Gorman, prism Yoshida & pink Volpe so can’t complain!
Got into a break jumbo case & took cheapest team Nationals $25 & hit a Meneses auto orange /25 & stone Garrett purple auto /299 so sweet

Not bad at all! That Ohtani is a 40 dollar credit if Topps/fanatics keeps the same buyback rules as last year. It was 20 for base, 40 for prism/sephia/pink/base refractors. Don't forget Freddy freeman too hes got similar numbers to Acuna minus the steals. Though I feel like Betts and Freeman are gonna take away Mvp votes from each other since both are having great seasons. Blasters are actually a good value mainly cuz of the checklist and the mvp buyback even at 35 a box.

I think the sepia cards last year were like 40 or 60 bucks back on the buy back but its a nice card i would probably keep that one. Nice rip man

Definitely a nice 2 boxes of Topps Chrome. My luck I buy 2 blaster boxes and I wouldn't hit anything good. I've been doing better buying 17 dollar blaster boxes from Walmart from last year. I pulled a Kirby Puckett red around the card bat relic card from 2022 Topps Allen and Ginter. I was definitely happy with that pull. Last few times I've bought 17 dollar box of 22 Topps Allen and Ginter I've pulled a relic card. The other one I pulled was the manager from the Yankees the female manager from the minor leagues I think Rachel Bolkovec I thinks her name. It may not be worth much but I was definitely happy to pull a relic to add to my collection.
Yeah nothing wrong with a nice relic, but this hobby is so up and down and at any giving moment a huge card could show up
What are the odds that in 20 yrs those mvp buy back cards are worth more than $20 because of scarcity???

. Ok, so you get lucky once in a while, but it doesn't happen like that always. You get an auto. And you don't even know who it is. You get some color or refractor and it's never anyone good. Topps is always a crap product no matter what it is cause you never get the value for anything you buy. Cost me over 75$ for 2 blasters and I got nothing back in value, even with all the pink and cepa promised. Topps anything in my opinion is junk
Man you have a solid point, that's why I say so many good things about panini because you always get value back
